Tatsunoko Production's 1990-1990 anime Kyatto Ninden Teyandee is one of those series that was treated to a wild localization, this one by way of Saban. Thus, Samurai Pizza Cats made its way to North America in 1991, and now, nearly 35 years later, the series has a new action-rpg on the way. Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! comes from Dutch studio Blast Zero ( Jitsu Squad ), with Red Dunes Games from the United Arab Emirates handling global distribution with a planned 2026 launch. The 2D action-rpg lets players switch between the main members of the Pizza Cats—including Speedy Cerviche, Polly Esther and Guido Anchovy—as they dash through Little Tokyo. It's currently planned for "all major platforms," and is available to wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! Whether they're experienced or newcomers, anime fans recognize that anime can tell beautifully resonant stories about an infinite number of topics. It's easily possible to find dozens of anime about sociopolitical or even philosophical issues for those who are looking for them. That said, not every anime is about having a strong storyline. Some anime series prioritize fighting above all else.
That's not to say anime that's heavily combat-focused can't also tell great stories, as many shonen series like One Piece and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood have proven over the years. Yet some series prioritize fighting far more than story, often with mixed results. Some series understand their fans are looking specifically for great fights rather than interesting narratives. Other series might have tried to tell a good story, only for fans to discover they have little going for them other than their decent fight scenes.

Heroes cant just hog the spotlight all the time: the best anime also give villains their own time to shine! Many of the best episodes of anime are villain-focused, telling a story devoted to one or more villains with nary a protagonist to be seen. Even more fun are the occasions when an episode focuses on not just one villain, but an entire team of them, allowing fans to get a much better sense of the villains' dynamic and relationships to each other. Though it's not always done, well, when it is, the result can leave viewers with a lot more sympathy for the antagonists.
The tones of these episodes can be extremely broad. Some of them can be funny, showing a formerly intimidating villain kicking back and having fun in their free time. Others flesh out the characters under the spotlight in the heaviest way possible, perhaps showing a...

Dragon Ball Daima is the latest and final anime in the franchise to be written by creator Akira Toriyama, so hopes are high on all fronts among fans to have a nostalgic experience for the viewers. With the Dragon Ball franchise entering its 40th Anniversary in 2024, the series explores much of what's already been told before moving into new territory, along with some returning names in its voiceover. The voice cast of Dragon Ball Daima is sure to please fans with particularly long-serving stars reprising their famous roles, including Masako Nozawa and Stephanie Nadolny returning as Goku.
Given how much attention is being given to the project, Dragon Ball Daima's choices in voice casting is no surprise, but still a welcome development for viewers feeling especially wistful knowing it's Toriyama's parting gift to the franchise. Those wishing for a new series to stoke their hearts for a new adventure...

Cross Guild is a relatively new organization, but it has already become one of the strongest factions in One Piece. It was founded by Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk, but Buggy the Clown is considered the leader because one of his crewmembers made a comical mistake. Cross Guild uses its political influence and military strength to place bounties on Marines. There are several One Piece characters who would likely join Cross Guild if the opportunity presented itself.
Most of the One Piece characters who would join Cross Guild are well-known pirates, and several of them were part of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a group of notorious pirates who worked with the World Government. Many of these characters would join Cross Guild to get back at the Marines and the World Government, but others would join for more personal reasons.

For most anime series, success hinges on eye-catching character design. That goes double for Kodomo anime. Kodomomuke anime, or Kodomo for short, is anime aimed at young children ages ten and under. With a target audience like that, artists and animators know they have to work hard to keep kids' attention.
Whereas most shnen anime go all in on over-the-top intricacy for their characters, Kodomo takes a uniquely simple and stylistic approach, resulting in some seriously impressive design work. From Astro Boy to Doraemon to Pikachu, Kodomo anime features some of the best and most iconic character designs of all time.

The Marines are one of the main factions in One Piece, and Monkey D. Garp is one of the organization's Vice Admirals. Garp is a legend who has battled legendary pirates like Gol D. Roger and Rocks D. Xebec. He has been offered an Admiral position multiple times, but he keeps refusing because he believes the promotion would limit his freedom. Garp is now in his late 70s, but he can still destroy a number of pirates.
Garp can use all three types of Haki, and he can use advanced Armament and Conqueror's Haki. His Galaxy Impact attack uses advanced Conqueror's Haki, and it can level an entire city. Garp can destroy most pirates who possess bounties below 500 million berries, but he can also take out pirates with much higher bounties.
