Match #1: TNT Championship – Dustin Rhodes def. Lee Moriarty The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Aew Collision kicked off from the Aragon Ballroom in thrilling fashion as Dustin Rhodes defended his TNT Championship for the first time against Ring of Honor Pure Champion Lee Moriarty. Moriarty, accompanied by Shane Taylor, refused an opening handshake, setting an aggressive tone immediately. The bout opened with an exchange of technical holds, Moriarty capitalizing with swift dragon screw leg whips, targeting Rhodes’ left knee relentlessly. Dustin fought through visible pain, rallying with stiff shots and a well-executed snap power slam. Welcome to my review of Aew All In: Texas 2025, the first to take place in the United States since 2018’s original Roh/indie supershow All In, which kicked off Aew as we know it today. With Wheeler Yuta watching intently at ringside, Moxley began asserting dominance through punishing strikes and submissions, including a ruthless head-and-arm triangle choke using the top rope for extra leverage. ‘Band of Brothers’ Cast: What Are They Doing in 2025?
Image
There are a few shows or movies that set a standard and a template for a whole genre. HBO’s 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers not only did that for war dramas but also launched and boosted many acting careers. The series, created by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, presented real-life events of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division throughout World War II.

The ensemble cast of Band of Brothers is one of the main reasons people still remember the show. Apart from playing the roles of soldiers, actors like Scott Grimes as Donald Malarkey, Kirk Acevedo as Joe Toye, and Damian Lewis as Richard Winters made the audience empathize with their losses and wins and connect with their camaraderie. Now, after more than two decades since its premiere, let’s catch up with some of these talented cast members and see what they are up to.

“The fun stopped while filming Episode 9”: Steven Spielberg’s Band of Brothers Went Insanely Dark in One Scene That’s Still Hard to Watch Today After 23 Years
Image
Nearly a quarter-century ago, Band of Brothers emerged as a profound war drama that would etch its narrative in the annals of television history. So, on that note, have you ever wondered what makes this HBO miniseries, co-created by the cinematic giants Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks, continue to command such respect & adoration from audiences worldwide?

Watching the 2001 series again in 2024, the poignancy hits harder and the darkness feels more intense, particularly in the gut-wrenching Episode 9, Why We Fight. In retrospect, we can only fully appreciate the solemn dedication of the actors who, even during filming, had to walk the fine line between portrayal and the reverent remembrance of the dark chapters they were dramatizing.

‘Aew: All Out 2023’ PPV Review
Image
Welcome to this review of 2023’s All Out pay-per-view, which once again emanated from Chicago and the United Center. It was interesting to speculate what the reaction of the Chicago crowd would be given recent events in the company but… any crowd can appreciate a good pay-per-view and this was a good pay-per-view! The Surprising Way Band of Brothers Filmed The Battle Of The Bulge
Image
Episode 6 of the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers takes place in the Ardennes Forest around the town of Bastogne, a setting filmed in an unconventional way. The harrowing events that transpire are seen through the eyes of U.S. Army combat medic Eugene Roe (Shane Taylor) who is tasked with treating the men of Easy Company during the famed Battle of the Bulge, Germany’s last-ditch offensive aimed at splitting the advancing Allied forces in two during the winter of 1944-45. The Belgian forest blanketed in snow may appear to be a typical set, but the winter scene actually employs a hidden trick.

Bastogne is a Belgian town perched atop a ridge in the Ardennes Forest. Known for its extensive forests and rough terrain, the Ardennes proved a challenging obstacle in what would become the largest and deadliest battle for the United States during World War II. To make matters worse,...

‘Aew: Dark’ Review (Feb 28th 2023)
Image
Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features Fourteen matches, though we also get some of Aew’s bigger stars on the show, which makes up for the ridiculous amount of matches Imho. Anyway, on with the review…

Match #1: Action Andretti def. Tony Deppen

My Thoughts: Action Andretti continues his winning streak in this opening match, though why Deppen was allowed to get as much offence as he did – especially against the guy that beat Chris Jericho in his debut. Still, a great start to this week’s Dark.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Evil Uno def. J. Spade

My Thoughts: Evil Uno’s turning to the dark side continues… I sincerely hope this new vicious streak continues and we get a stronger, more dominant Dark Order too. Shame the audience wasn’t into this one though.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #3: Parker Boudreaux def.

‘Aew: Dark’ Review (Jan 31st 2023)
Image
Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features nine matches and is once again filmed at the Dark studios in Orlando, Florida rather than coming from on the road… Anyway, on with the review.

Match #1: Ar Fox & Top Flight def. The Wingmen

My Thoughts: What’s this? The Wingmen in a decent match shocker! I know that’s hard to believe given how they’ve been booked in forever… but it looks like the were given a chance to shine against Top Flight and Ar Fox, who also managed to draw out decent wrestling from the normally-comedic team. Surprising but superb start to this week’s show.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Red Velvet def. Sofia Castillo

My Thoughts: What went on here then? Red Velvet has a good match on Elevation then we get this on Dark. In one match she looks strong and...

10 Best Performances In Band Of Brothers
Image
The cast of HBO's Band of Brothers is filled with talented actors — many of them were on the cusp of fame when the miniseries debuted in 2001 — playing every sort of soldier in World War II. More than 20 years later, it remains one of the best TV miniseries of all time thanks to outstanding acting by its ensemble cast.

The performances keep audiences invested in the idea that the men were truly brothers in arms. Some characters appeared for only a few episodes or even just one scene. Others remained front and center for the whole series. There are some actors whose performances stand above the rest, bringing true humanity to real figures from history.

Ron Livingston As Lewis Nixon

Lewis Nixon is the second lead of the show behind Dick Winters, and he balances out Winters' straight-laced personality with his own cavalier attitude. Ron Livingston plays Nixon brilliantly, giving him...

Band Of Brothers' Bastogne Forest Wasn't Actually A Forest At All
Image
It's known that HBO's 10-part miniseries "Band of Brothers" is something of an extension of Steven Spielberg's celebrated 1998 war film "Saving Private Ryan." Part of the reverence for the Spielberg-Tom Hanks co-creation comes from an appreciation for the meticulously re-created history, from Belgian villages to liberated concentration camps; the production even shares the filming location of Ellenbrooke Fields with "Saving Private Ryan." Paired with interview excerpts from some of the real-life survivors, it makes for as-authentic-as-you-can-get storytelling.

"Bastogne" is the 6th episode in the series, one that sees the men of the 101st Airborne Division's "Easy" Company make their way through the European theater of WWII and specifically Germany's final offensive, known as the Battle of the Bulge. Focusing on the efforts of Medic Eugene Roe (played by Shane Taylor) as he renders aid to the wounded -- for context, Americans incurred 47,500 wounded during the real Ardennes...

What Is The Roh Final Battle 2022 Price?
Image
Several of All Elite Wrestling's top stars will appear on Roh's Final Battle on December 10. It has traditionally been Ring Of Honor's biggest pay-per-view of the season, where the biggest matches and blow-offs happen ahead of the new year. Tony Khan has done his best to build this card, and following the success of the previous two pay-per-views, the feeling is that they are playing with house money. So, how much cash will wrestling fans need to fork over to watch the likes of Chris Jericho, Ftr, and Samoa Joe?

Earlier this week, an Roh press release confirmed that Final Battle would cost 39.99. This Ring Of Honor show costs considerably less than the Aew pay-per-views but is in line with the price that Khan has used throughout 2022. Fans wanting to tune in live can catch the pay-per-view the same way they'd watch an Aew PPV: via the Bleacher Report app and website.

‘Ring Of Honor’ Wrestling Review (Apr 23rd 2021)
Image
Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Ring Of Honor is the only league as of late who is doing this right. It’s a pleasure to be here to promote episode 501 of Roh TV. Let’s see how it turns out.

Match #1: Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper (Time Limit Draw) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com

Two rising stars who appear destined to be wearing championship gold in the future will square off in a one-on-one match for the first time, but certainly not the last. Since returning to Roh last month, Isom has recorded impressive victories over Rey Horus and Lsg. In 2018, less than a year into his career, Isom scored pinfalls on former Roh World Champion Christopher Daniels and Shane Taylor. Draper, the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament winner, is 10-2 (.833) in one-on-one matches in his Roh career.
