Donald Trump's organisation attacks film-maker as 'misinformed jackass'
Us billionaire's right-hand man hits back after Bill Forsyth accuses magnate of 'egotistical bullying'

The film-maker Bill Forsyth has been described by Donald Trump's organisation as a "misinformed jackass" after he accused the property magnate of "egotistical bullying" at his golf course near Aberdeen.

In an article for the Guardian, Forsyth said there were strong parallels between Trump's efforts to remove local people living next to his now mothballed £750m golf resort and Forsyth's fictional Us billionaire in his cult classic Local Hero from 1983, which won the best film Bafta.

The director said You've Been Trumped, an award-winning documentary investigating the experiences of Trump's nearest neighbours being shown on BBC2 this Sunday, was "akin to 1970s Romania".

For the second installment of The Liberal Dead’s look at the animal attack sub-genre, we will be taking a look at the 1988 Juan Piquer Simon (Pieces, The Pod People) film Slugs. Based on a 1982 Shaun Hutson novel by the same title, the film revolves around a rural community that becomes over run by carnivorous slugs. Unforgettably cheesy dialog, graphic gore, and a ton of laughs make this a must experience flick for fans of old-school 80s splatter.

This is most certainly one of those, so good its bad type of flicks. Best viewed with friends and perhaps some sort of mind-altering substance. The dialog is so hilariously poorly written and delivered that it is impossible to walk away from this film without memorizing some lines for future use in awkward conversations.
