Acclaimed filmmaker Wes Anderson recalls the uncomfortable end of his time on the set of The Royal Tenenbaums with the late, great Gene Hackman.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Anderson recalled his time working with Hackman, specifically on 2001's The Royal Tenenbaums. "Gene was very annoyed about the money," Anderson said of the star's reaction to the small flat fee offered to the film's cast, which was used in the director's previous work, Rushmore. "He was furious. Also, he didn't want to do the film anyway. I talked him into it - I just didn't go away."

"The only time I feel good is when I'm behind the wheels." 1091 Pictures has released an official US trailer for an indie drama titled Wheels, marking the feature directorial debut of Brooklyn-based filmmaker Paul Starkman. The project was successfully funded on Kickstater back in 2016, then originally premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2018, and also played at the Kansas City FilmFest last year.
