Former Zorro Antonio Banderas trades swords and swashbuckling for grit and guns in one of his most underrated action thrillers, which is now streaming free. Released back in 2017, Acts of Vengeance evokes the best kind of action B-movie in this tale of a lawyer who never shuts up, vowing silence and revenge after his family is murdered.
Directed by Isaac Florentine, who has demonstrated his affinity for the genre before with frequent collaborations with action icon Scott Adkins in the likes of Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, and Close Range, Acts of Vengeancestars The Boys’ Karl Urban alongside Banderas. The action outing, which proved divisive at the time, is well worth a second shot, and is available to stream free now on Tubi. You can check out the official synopsis for the revenge flick below.

One of the most tragically unsung heroes in action movies, Scott Adkins, has declared that he would love to return to one of his most popular martial arts franchises. Known for roles in the likes of Ninja, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Ip Man 4, The Expendables 2, and John Wick: Chapter 4, the character that put Adkins on the map of many an action movie fan is that of the most complete fighter in the world, Yuri Boyka. And Adkins wants to return to the ring for more.
Answering fans questions on X/Twitter recently, Adkins responded to the idea of returning as Boyka in an Undisputed 5. Introduced back in 2006s Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, Yuri Boyka began life as the villain, going up against Michael Jai Whites more heroic ex-boxer as the pair are forced to fight while serving time in a Russian prison. NBA star Dikembe Mutombo has passed away at the age of 58 after suffering from a brain tumor for almost two years. The basketball legend is recognized as one of the best defenders ever in the game, famous for his finger-wag move that represented a “not-on-my-watch” gesture. Over the span of 18 seasons in the NBA, Mutombo earned a huge net worth from his salary and endorsement deals.

The third entry in the popular action-thriller Olympus Has Fallen series will be unleashed into a theater near you next month. It stars Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman. And today we have the new trailer for director Ric Roman Waugh's London Has Fallen follow-up, Angel Has Fallen for you guys to check out.
Much like the previous two movies in this rock 'em, sock 'em action movie trilogy, Angel Has Fallen looks to be brutal and bloody good times to this here movie fan. And while the new trailer does make all of it seem like tip-top action, I do have to put out there that some of that CGI presented in the preview looks a bit on the shoddy side. But that said, I'm thinking they will correct all of that before the movie finally storms it's way into theaters next month. Fingers crossed that is.

Next month Game of Thrones and Hannibal director Niel Marshall will unleash his new version of Mike Mignola's classic character Hellboy onto the masses in a theater near you and on your local IMAX screens. This new big-budget, R-rated film hasn't even opened in a theater near you yet, and already it seems that the powers that be behind the scenes are planning for potential sequels. At least in a very "vague sense." To be a bit more specific, producer Lloyd Levin says:

Though the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre (yes, that’s how the title was spelt) is a classic in the horror genre, none of the following sequels, reboots or prequels have been very good. The franchise currently boasts 7 films, and as those who’ve seen them all can tell you, each one changed things up a bit, and not for the better. The result has been a tonally inconsistent and often ridiculed series of movies, with each one being worse than the last – for the most part.
Despite this, the producers aren’t giving up and sensing that there’s still a fanbase out there for Tobe Hooper’s iconic slasher flick that started it all, they’re now bringing us Leatherface. Set to be a prequel to the original, the project has been sitting on the shelf for a while now, having been shot back in 2015. It’s been...

Gerard Butler has signed on to return as embattled Secret Service Agent Mike Banning in the new Millennium Films sequel Angel Has Fallen, a follow-up to 2013's Olympus Has Fallen and this year's London Has Fallen. The actor will team up with Millennium Films yet again on this action sequel, which doesn't have a director locked in quite yet. The Hitman’s Bodyguard has officially been handed his assignment and dispatched into production.
Patrick Hughes’ (The Expendables 3) action-comedy, one led by Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, has now been ushered in front of the cameras for a rip-roaring adventure that also features Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Daredevil starlet Elodie Yung and Gary Oldman as Vladislav Dukhovich, a bloodthirsty Eastern European dictator. Well, you know how Oldman likes to play the baddie.
For the flick, Reynolds will take point as Michael Bryce, the “world’s top protection agent” who find himself protecting the most unusual client – a notorious hitman. Playing the ice-cold role of that hired gun is Samuel L. Jackson, and much of The Hitman’s Bodyguard is said to revolve around the pair’s comedic dynamic.

Ryan Reynolds-fronted actioner The Hitman’s Bodyguard has placed its crosshairs on a new director, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Before a recent scheduling conflict scupper plans, Jeff Wadlow had been attached to helm the starry thriller, which already boasts Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Daredevil starlet Elodie Yung and Gary Oldman. But one filmmaker that’s well versed in dealing with star-studded lineups is The Expendables 3‘s Patrick Hughes, and that’s exactly the man that will be taking over for Wadlow at the helm.
Featuring a screenplay by Tom O’Connor, The Hitman’s Bodyguard places Ryan Reynolds in the shoes of the best bodyguard in the business. His latest gig is anything but ordinary, after he’s approached by an assassin and old rival looking to forfeit a boatload of evidence. Witness the beginning of your end. Evocative words for a movie poster, and it’s rather apt for one depicting the origin tale behind the Sawyer family and its chainsaw-wielding maniac. The old and horrifying Texan tale is no stranger to the big screen, but Millennium Films’ upcoming feature is taking the story back its dark beginnings with Leatherface.
Picking up the infamous chainsaw and mask will be Sam Strike, the British actor best known for his appearance on BBC’s soap drama, Eastenders. Once Millennium locked down the actor earlier in the year, progress on the prequel has been ramping up ever since, with Vanessa Grasse and Stephen Dorff also on board for the scarefest. The pair are set to play the young and innocent (first victim?) Lizzy and a lawman hellbent on unravelling the unspeakable evil haunting the Texas state. Beyond that, Leatherface will also star Lili Taylor as Verne Sawyer,...

Earlier today, rumors surfaced that British actor Sam Strike (EastEnders) was playing the new Spider-Man, after the actor and his manager teased that he was up for the lead role in a "major Us film." As it turns out, Sam Strike was not offered the lead in Spider-Man, but in Millennium Films' Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface. The Wrap reports that Sam Strike is "nearing a deal' to star in this origin story, set in the 1970s.
Sam Strike will play Jackson, the teenager who eventually grows up to become the maniacal Leatherface. No other story details were given at this time. We reported in October that the French filmmaking due Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Paris I'll Kill You, ABCs of Death 2) are directing from a screenplay by Seth M. Sherwood.
Texas Chainsaw 3D's Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Carl Mazzocone are reuniting to produce Leatherface alongside Les Weldon.

Millenium Films has found a new Leatherface. Multiple sources close to the studio’s planned Texas Chainsaw prequel, simply called Leatherface, confirm that EastEnders actor Sam Strike is in negotiations to pick up the iconic mask and chainsaw.
After the studio’s last attempt to revitalize the classic horror franchise, 2013’s Texas Chainsaw 3D, was met with paltry reviews that caused it to sink like a stone at the box office, Leatherface finds Millenium hitting the reset button. The prequel will go back to the 1970s to focus on the early years of Jackson (Strike), the young man who will eventually become a masked killer. Strike’s casting, which comes after an extensive search, is major news – the studio is banking on his performance to endear the franchise to a new generation of horror fans.
French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, who made the terrific Inside, have been tasked with directing Leatherface.

Out of the two dueling White House takeover pics that vied for box office dominance in 2013, it’s safe to say that Olympus Has Fallen emerged victorious against White House Down (though there are some, myself included, who feel that the latter film was far superior). While White House Down disappointed at the box office, Olympus Has Fallen made more on a smaller budget and certainly did well enough to warrant a sequel, which kicked off production in London today.
Rather obviously titled London Has Fallen, the follow-up reunites stars Aaron Eckhart, Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett and Melissa Leo. This time around, Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Butler) and President of the United States Benjamin Asher (Eckhart) find themselves battling a terrorist threat in London.
