Jurassic World 3 is bringing back another character from the franchise's past. Campbell Scott has been cast to play Dodgson, who was only featured in one scene in the original Jurassic Park, but is an important character all the same. Now, after 27 years, Dodgson will be making his return to the series, which will seemingly have major implications for the sequel's plot.

According to a new report, Campbell Scott has boarded Jurassic World: Dominion in the role of Lewis Dodgson. The character was originally played by Cameron Thor, who was convicted of sexual assault in 2016. As such, the role has been recast. This time around, Dodgson will be the CEO of Biosyn Genetics. As fans may recall, Dodgson first appeared in Jurassic Park to help Wayne Knight's Denis Nedry steal viable dinosaur embryos from John Hammond and InGen. Biosyn was a rival of InGen's that Dodgson works for.

Cameron Thor, a former acting coach and respected mentor to numerous Hollywood A-listers, was sentenced to 6 years in state prison Wednesday morning following his conviction last August on charges of sexual misconduct with a minor. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office filed 14 counts against acting coach and actor Cameron Thor of kidnapping and sexual assault against a minor, specifically a 13-year-old girl who sought acting lessons. The Da alleges that Thor gave the girl “a controlled substance … marijuana” and sexually assaulted her. His arraignment yesterday was postponed to June 19 in Dept. 100 of Van Nuys, CA courthouse. Thor, 54, who appeared in Windtalkers, Jurassic Park, A Few Good Men and Hook and on TV in The Net and Star Trek: The Next Generation, taught acting to teens and others in Studio City, CA via the Carter Thor Studio. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office, the victim had consulted with Thor about taking acting classes. Chicago – The “Step Up” series of films not only have popularized and reflected the modern dance fever, but have also launched careers – Channing Tatum among them. Kathryn McCormick and Ryan Guzman are the latest Romeo-and-Juliet types in the new “Step Up Revolution,” the fourth installment of the movie sensation.

McCormick and Guzman are newly plated movie stars. McCormick first came to prominence in the TV competition show, “You Think You Can Dance,” where she placed third in Season 6. She had never acted before making this film. Ryan Guzman is an aspiring actor, but had never danced before. Both McCormick and Guzman are making their major film debuts, portraying Emily and Sean in “Step Up Revolution.”
