Let’s take a look at what went down in “Confidence.”

Aiden And Abettin’ | After a quick 2008 flashback to Takeda’s School for Those Who Look Really Good in Black and May Also Have Some Severe Attachment Issues – in which Aiden bested Emily in a...

On Monday night, Lady Gaga attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in New York City, where she accepted the Fashion Iconprize.

Donning a green wig and a black dress with mesh and spikes, the superstar opened up about her love of fashion and how it shaped her as an artist.

"All of you made me feel like a star before I was," she told the Cfda crowd at Lincoln Center, where guests included fashion luminaries like Marc Jacobs, Anna Wintour, and onetime star of MTV's "The City," Diane von Furstenberg. She continued, "As much as this award means to me personally ... I just want you to know how much this means to young Americans."

Gaga will continue to show support for her fans when she...

Books: Book Review: David Thorne: The Internet Is A Playground
David Thorne is kind of a dick. Fortunately for readers of his blog 27b/6, or his book collection The Internet Is A Playground: Irreverent Correspondences Of An Evil Online Genius, he’s a funny dick. Throughout the course of the book, he uses that entertaining dickishness to puncture egos, annoy bureaucrats, and occasionally help himself out. When Thorne is frustrating people like an unctuous would-be “school chaplain” or angry e-mailers who use misspelled homophobic slurs, he looks like a comic genius, sowing confusion among the greatest fools in the world. When he turns those powers to less-palatable aims, like ...

Nicolas Cage Gets Arrested For Losing His Sh*t? Don't Say We Didn't Warn You.
Omg and Lol my darling texters, tweeters and in-betweeners. Despite all anecdotal evidence to the contrary, there is a recent study that claims texting can actually improve your spelling. Here I thought it was the downfall of mankind. 2 funny. (io9)

In other linguistical news, some poor racist nitwit complained to OkCupid about the presence of Spanish on the site. Cause it's for 'Murikans, right? So there should only be 'Murikan werds. The OkCupid folks gave him a David Thorne-esque tongue lashing and, eventually, banned him from the site. (Rip-Off Report)

Speaking of racist nitwittery, Marilyn Davenport's racist Obama emails frankly shocked me. There are times when Orange County antics make me wish California were two different states. (Angry Black Lady)

Here in my hippie dippie, Nag Champa-scented, Northern California bubble, I had no idea eight states had banned atheists from holding office. That can't be right. (Friendly Athiest)

Man tries to pay bill with spider sketch
An Australian man has attempted to settle an overdue utilities bill with a crude line-drawing of a spider. David Thorne sent the picture to an administration officer along with a note explaining the content. It read: "I do not have any money so am sending you this drawing I did of a spider instead. I value the drawing at $$233.95 (£97) so trust that this settles the matter."
