Jason Alexander Is Still Wearing George Costanza’s Wardrobe in Real Life
Image
Throughout the course of Seinfeld’s nine seasons, George Costanza showed himself to be many things: a pathological liar, a hopelessly selfish boyfriend, an unsung advocate for shower urination rights. But it wasn’t until fairly recently that George began to get credit for being a fashion icon, too.

A number of fashion experts have singled out Frank and Estelle Costanza’s only (surviving) child for his impeccably tailored suits, and for possibly influencing hip-hop artists in the 2010s with his flannel shirts and boldly velvet-based ensembles.

But there’s seemingly no bigger fan of George’s wardrobe than actor Jason Alexander. How do we know that? Well, because he’s still wearing some of George’s clothes to this day. Just not the stuff made by Gore-Tex.

While speaking with his Really? no, Really? podcast co-host Peter Tilden, Alexander casually remarked that the shirt he was wearing was one of George’s.

007 Shock: ‘Skyfall’ Tops Twilight For #1; Gerard Butler’s ‘Playing For Keeps’ Bombs
Daniel Craig in Skyfall (2012)
Believe it or not, considering this spy has been on film since 1962. But Eon Productions/MGM/Sony Pictures’ most successful 007 starrer Skyfall rose to #1 in Week 5 to knock off Summit Entertainment’s Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Week 4 at the domestic box office. “Nothing demonstrates the powerful word of mouth and outstanding playability on this film better than reclaiming the top spot in such a competitive marketplace,” Sony said today. The 23rd James Bond actioner even has a shot of outgrossing domestically the Twilight Saga finale. Earlier in the week, it was announced that Skyfall had smashed the all time box office record in the UK, becoming the highest grossing film of all time in that market and overtaking Avatar for the record. The Bond pic made $10.8M for the weekend and $261.4M domestic cume through Sunday. Breaking Dawn Part 2 ended up #3 behind DreamWorks Animation’s...

Blu-ray Review: The Naked Gun – Nice Beaver, Shame About The Blu-ray !
The Movie

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

The passing of Leslie Nielsen last year was a very sad day indeed. While many actors have tried to nail the same style of deadpan comic delivery, none have managed it quite as well as Nielsen. It’s often said that his defining performance is that of Dr.Rumack in Airplane! – of which he’ll always be remembered for a particular line involving a very serious Shirley. But for me, the role of Lt. Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun is the best performance by the comedy star.

The partnership of David & Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrahams – also known as Zaz – resulted in some of the greatest comedy movies of the 1980’s. Their first big screen production, John Landis’ Kentucky Fried Movie is an early example of their trademark zany humour – mixing crude sight gags with satire (most notably Bruce Lee films with a...

[DVD Review] The Naked Gun
12.00 Normal 0 false false false En-us X-none X-none MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

The Naked Gun and Airplane series have earned their places in the annals of comedy fame. Slapstick comedy, outrageous dialogue and hilarious situations elevate normal everyday stories to films of such comedic heights that they're remembered fondly by everyone. I don't think I'm crossing a line when I say that Leslie Nielsen deserves a fair share of the credit. "Don't call me Shirley" still gets used in offices around the world and there's point denying that Leslie Nielsen (until about 10 years ago) was the ultimate clueless slapsticker of his day.

Case in point: The Naked Gun.

Sidelining all the other comedic talents to be found in Airplane, The Naked Gun places all the pressure squarely on the shoulders of Nielsen as Police Officer Frank Drebin.  Right from the credits The Naked Gun sets the tone for a cop story gone zany. As...

Although beaten down on "Male of the Year", Strait still grabs an award with his latest album "Troubadour" winning over Underwood's "Carnival Ride", Brooks & Dunn's "Cowboy Town", Jackson's "Good Times", and Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates".
