What attracted you to the story of Bsf officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in Ground Zero?

What I found interesting in the story was actually the relevance of that story because there are so many stories of soldiers attempting an operation and fulfilling it, successfully completing it. But with this particular story, what I really liked about is that the impact after the operation was done, after Ghazi Baba was killed, the impact on the entire society was so huge.

Emraan was thronged recently by fans in Baramulla town when they spotted the actor wearing the uniform of an army officer.

Directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, ‘Ground Zero’ features Emraan as an Indian army officer. The film also stars Sai Tamhankar and Mukesh Tiwari, among others.

Emraan hit news headlines during his Kashmir visit in 2022 when some reports said that he had been attacked by stone pelters in Pahalgam hill station during a film shoot.

The actor had rubbished those reports, praising the warmth and hospitality shown by the locals towards him and the film unit.

Reminiscing about his own days as a student, he said, “I was actively involved and part of the student organisation during my time at Allahabad University. I have had first-hand experience with student activism, and revisiting campus again through the show reminded me of my own college days. The teaser of the upcoming streaming series ‘Garmi’ has been unveiled which presents the story of the lead Arvind Shukla, a young man who moves out of his hometown to a hostel to become a civil servant.

The series has been directed by filmmaker-actor Tigmanshu Dhulia and the teaser has tropes of a classic Tigmanshu directorial as it starts off with Arvind beating up his senior in the college.

Arvind has aspirations to become a civil servant. He stumbles into the world of college politics, powerplay and crime.

‘Garmi’ features an ensemble starcast such as Mukesh Tiwari, Vineet Kumar, Pankaj Saraswat, Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav, Puneet Singh, Anurag Thakur, Anushka Kaushik, Disha Thakur, Dheerendra Gautam in pivotal roles.

Mumbai, Nov 28 (Ians) The makers of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie ‘Cirkus’ unveiled its teaser on Monday. The film marks Ranveer Singh’s third collaboration with the superstar Bollywood director Rohit Shetty after ‘Simmba’ and the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’, where he had an extended cameo appearance.

The teaser features a bunch of Rohit Shetty regulars such as Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mukesh Tiwari, Marathi actor Siddharth Jadhav along with Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma. Both Ranveer and Varun seem to be playing dual roles in the film.

The teaser not just announces the date (December 2) when the trailer would drop, but also said the film will be released during Christmas this year. Actress Tisca Chopra, who is set to play an Ias officer in her upcoming thriller series ‘Dahan – Raakan ka Rahasya’, shared that the show captures the essence of raw fear as every character involved in the show has its own demons to battle.

The series is a dark tale of myths and superstition and touches upon society, its beliefs and challenges its characters to face their deepest and darkest fears.

Mumbai, Oct 19 (Ians) Actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty are all set to reunite to adapt Shakespearean comedy for the Bollywood screen.

Titled "Cirkus", their new collaboration is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play "The Comedy Of Errors", with Ranveer essaying a double role.

The play has already been adapted in Bollywood by Gulzar as "Angoor" (1982), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma, and the Bimal Roy-produced "Do Dooni Chaar" (1968), starring Kishore Kumar and Asit Sen.

Besides Ranveer in the lead, Shetty's film also features Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Murli Sharma.
