A few years ago, a revival of Fiddler on the Roof in Hebrew was done in Israel for a limited number of shows. This time, portraying the same character in Hebrew, Topol again played the part of Tevye the milkman. Topol is, perhaps, one of few actors that played the same character on stage in two different languages.
