James Patrick Stuart
Gh James Patrick Stuart Thoughts On Recent AMC ‘Easter Egg’ In Valentin Scenes
James Patrick Stuart
General Hospital (Gh) spoilers suggest that fans are a little sad that Valentin Cassadine is no longer in the Port Charles picture.

James Patrick Stuart recently exited the soap after nine years, when Valentin headed to a maximum-security prison in Geneva.

Stuart recently talked about his General Hospital departure with Soap Opera Digest (Sod) and revealed his thoughts on a recent All My Children (AMC) Easter Egg planted within a Valentin scene.

James Patrick Stuart Says Goodbye

Stuart talked about his exit, and how it was not taken personally, as well as the potential of coming back to the soap someday – which was a resounding, “yes!”.

He also talked about his special working relationships with Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and his onscreen daughter, Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte Cassadine), whom he watched grow up over the years.

In addition, Stuart acknowledged and thanked the fans but also talked about an interesting scene...

Is General Hospital Teasing An All My Children’ Reboot?
Image
General Hospital (Gh) spoilers reveal there have been more than a few All My Children (AMC) references on the soap as of late.

One that occurred this week has fans buzzing, so are these all just fun Easter eggs for viewers to gobble up, or is there more to this?

The AMC Easter Eggs

The AMC references in Port Charles date back to 2023 when Walt Willey reprised his AMC character, Jackson Montgomery on the soap in August of that year.

In 2024, Gh viewers heard AMC’s iconic character, Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) name dropped multiple times, and more recently, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) reminded fans of his former, AMC character as he was scrummaging through his old house, looking for documentation, when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stopped him in his tracks.

Sonny now owns Valentin’s house and everything in it. Thankfully the on-the-run criminal squirmed his way...

Important Characters That Were Recast in Major Films
Image
We see recasts pretty regularly on the big screen. For some franchises like Friday the 13th and Halloween, it’s almost a tradition. It’s less common in a non-genre arena. However, other major films have seen some of their important characters get recast for various reasons… and keep in mind that we’re only talking about movies here, not TV shows, so you won’t hear about Michiel Huisman replacing Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones, Charles Melton replacing Ross Butler on Riverdale, Liam Hemsworth replacing Henry Cavill on The Witcher, Janet Hubert being switched with Daphne Maxwell Reid as Aunt Vivian Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Nathan Parsons replacing Luke Grimes as James Kent on True Blood, Alessandra Torresani being replaced by Mae Whitman on Arrested Development, or Jeff the cab driver being recast in the final season of Better Call Saul. Why Was April Recast in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2?
Image
Quick Links Judith Hoag Had a Terrible Time Filming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hoag's Career After the Turtles Hoag's Doomed Return to Tmnt Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a hit despite low expectations, grossing $202 million on a $13.5 million budget. Judith Hoag starred as April O'Neil in the original film but did not return for the sequels due to various behind-the-scenes issues. Hoag's career expanded beyond Tmnt, including roles in Disney's Halloweentown franchise and recurring roles on popular TV series.

Despite no major studio believing in the possibility of a live-action Ninja Turtles movie being a hit, 1990's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a box office smash hit, grossing $202 million on a budget of $13.5 million, which would make it the highest-grossing independent film up to that time. A sequel was quickly greenlit, and in less than a year, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze hit theaters on March 22, 1991. Fans did rush out,...

8 Massive TV Show Plot Twists That Were Clearly Not Planned In Advance
Image
TV plot twists that aren't planned ahead of time can feel cheap and leave dedicated viewers feeling unsatisfied. Unexpected plot twists can come out of left field and lack a solid foundation, like the ones in Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars. Some TV shows introduce plot twists that were not properly hinted at or developed, leaving viewers questioning if they were planned in advance.

Plot twists can make or break TV shows, and the well-executed ones often elevate their series and make them more memorable overall — but there are some massive TV turns that clearly weren't planned ahead of time. When TV shows include plot twists for the sake of shock value, it can feel cheap to dedicated viewers. This can make such developments memorable for the wrong reasons, landing them among the worst TV plot twists of all time.

Even when they do work out, it's usually noticeable when...

Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Thomas McDonell in The 100 (2014)
The 100 Cast: Where Are They Now?
Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Thomas McDonell in The 100 (2014)
When The 100 debuted on The CW in 2014, it was a nice change of pace for the network.

The post-apocalyptic drama followed a group of survivors from The Ark who return to Earth nearly 100 years after a nuclear apocalypse.

With all seven seasons of the series being available to binge on Netflix, it's easier to watch the show than ever.

The 100 had an expansive cast because we met many different factions throughout.

Let's take a look at what the cast has been up to since the series wrapped.

Eliza Taylor - Clark Griffin

Clark changed dramatically throughout the seven seasons as the heroine at the story's heart.

She made decisions that divided the fan base and allowed viewers to witness all the ugly things that come with leading a group of people.

Taylor's breakthrough role was on the Australian soap opera Neighbours.

Ahead of her seven-season turn on The 100,...

Why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze Is the Best Tmnt Movie
Image
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze embraced the 1990s era, incorporating its music, products, and social themes, making it feel like a nostalgic tribute to that time. The film recognized the inherent satire of the Tmnt source material and injected humor throughout, including a hilarious dance sequence with Vanilla Ice. Unlike the newer films, Secret of the Ooze balanced the characters well, allowing all of them to contribute to both the comedic relief and emotional moments, resulting in a more authentic and consistent tone.

To say that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise has been uneven would be putting it mildly. While the original comic books proved to be a great parody of both Marvel’s X-Men and Daredevil sagas, the cartoon shows based on the same characters took the franchise in a much less serious direction that appealed directly to young children. As a result,...

Every ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Movie Ranked, Including ‘Mutant Mayhem’
Image
Who could have guessed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s small, black-and-white indie comic about anthropomorphic crime-fighting turtles that began as a parody of superhero storytelling would not only be around forty years later but also have the love and investment of several generations of fans? Whether you discovered the Turtles through the toys, the various TV shows, or the movies, audiences have been lucky enough to have at least one defining iteration of these heroes.

Alongside Batman and Spider-Man, the Turtles have had the most consistent luck with their onscreen history. And this week, the Heroes in Half-Shells are back on the big screen for the latest reboot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. To celebrate, The Hollywood Reporter has definitively ranked the theatrical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from the most bogus to the most bodacious.

Surprising Early Roles For Big Actors
Image
Everyone has to start somewhere and exactly where that place may be is often of pretty dubious quality or (at the very least) rather surprising for some of today’s biggest names in the film industry. For example, we all know Jennifer Aniston had her start with Leprechaun, a film she’d probably rather forget (although we think it’s a lot of fun). Now, with current streaming services pulling all kinds of older films and television shows into their libraries, fans can get the chance to see some of those questionable choices that most likely were made to pay the bills. Here are a few of our favorites:

Elisabeth Moss in Surburban Commando (1991)

While not her very first credit, this is the Mad Men & Handmaid’s Tale star’s first feature film and it’s a doozy. For anyone not familiar with it, it’s an action comedy starring...

David Warner in Kiss of Life (2003)
Here’s Your Perfect David Warner Genre Movie Marathon
David Warner in Kiss of Life (2003)
You just can’t get away from David Warner. Whether you’re watching an episode of Babylon 5 or hearing his voice as Ra’s al Ghul in Batman: The Animated Series, there’s a ubiquity to David Warner that all true fans of superheroes, science fiction, and fantasy know without thinking about it. Yes, Warner did a lot of work that wasn’t sci-fi or fantasy, but his omnipresence within those genres is partly what made him so beloved. Warner passed away recently at the age of 80, and because he’s been in soooo many things we’ve all loved, it feels difficult to accept that he’s gone.

It would be impossible to list every single one of Warner’s projects, so instead here is a curated David Warner movie marathon, highlighting some of his greatest sci-fi and fantasy hits, and a few deep cuts you may not have seen.

2021 Emmy awards nominations ballot: See all 41 Best TV Movie contenders from ‘As Luck Would Have It’ to ‘Wendy Williams: The Movie’
Image
The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 41 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 13; last year only 28 TV movies were submitted.

All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 28 to cast their 2021 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. In 2017 that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.

‘The 100’ Creator Says Prequel Will “Fill In A Lot Of Blanks”; Familiar Faces Drop In To Say “May We Meet Again” As Sci-Fi Series Nears End – Comic-Con@Home
Image
As The 100 nears the end of its seven-season run, the creator and executive producer Jason Rothenberg was joined by cast members Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, Jr Bourne and Shelby Flannery in a pre-taped panel for Comic-Con@Home to reflect about their time on the CW sci-fi series. In addition to that, Rothenberg gave audiences some vague hints about the backdoor prequel pilot to the series which aired earlier this month.

“We definitely started the season wanting to make sure we didn’t leave anything on the field,” said Rothenberg about wrapping up seven seasons. He added that he recognizes the series leaves a lot of unanswered questions throughout the seasons that he wanted to answer and said that the prequel episode helped “fill in a lot of the blanks”. For example, he pointed out that the episode addressed why the bunker was empty...

The 100 Ending Will Change Our Perspective on the Series, Says Showrunner
Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Thomas McDonell in The 100 (2014)
Some of The 100 cast and showrunner Jason Rothenberg took place in a pre-recorded panel today for Comic Con at Home in which they chatted about the legacy of this show and what to expect from the latter half of the show’s final season.

“We definitely started this season wanting to make sure we didn’t leave anything on the field, meaning there were certain unanswered questions over the seasons that we wanted to answer,” said showrunner Rothenberg about the plan heading into the seventh season. “And since I know people are seeing this after I think maybe the first 10 episodes have aired, you already have seen the prequel so you know that that episode kind of fills in a lot of blanks. Why was the bunker empty when they opened it in Season 4 just being one sort of question that I always had and we needed to answer this year.

‘The 100’ Prequel Series in the Works at The CW
The CW is moving forward with a potential prequel series to “The 100.”

Series creator Jason Rothenberg is developing the project, which has received a pilot production order from the network, with plans to air it as a backdoor pilot during the show’s upcoming seventh and final season.

Set 97 years before the events of the original series, the prequel is set to begin with the nuclear apocalypse that wiped out most of the human population on Earth and follows a band of survivors on the ground “as they learn to cope in a dangerous world while fighting to create a new and better society from the ashes of what came before,” according to the CW.

This Screen-Used Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costume For Sale is Kinda Horrifying
The costumes that were made for the original live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films were pretty awesome for the late 80s early 90s. But, those costumes did not stand the test of time very well.

As you’ll see in the photos below, the original screen-used costume for Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III is rotting into something completely horrifying. It’s in pretty rough shape, but it’s up for auction thanks to the London-based Prop Store.

Here’s the description that was shared:

Leonardo's (Mark Caso) costume from Stuart Gilard's family adventure sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. When their friend April O'Neil (Paige Turco) was magically transported back in time to 17th century Japan, Leonardo and his fellow turtles followed in an attempt to rescue her.

This costume includes a green turtle bodysuit consisting of foam latex cast elements over a spandex base, with dense-foam chest and shell elements,...

The 100 Boss Talks [Spoiler]'s Finale Fate, Teases Big Final Season Mystery
Jason Rothenberg
The 100 has a long history of delivering mind-blowing finale cliffhangers (125-year time jump, anyone?), but Tuesday’s Season 6 ender managed to raise the bar yet again. Some might even call it… an anomaly.

TVLine spoke with showrunner Jason Rothenberg for some insight about that Wtf ending, but first, a quick recap: After being exposed as not-Josephine, Clarke was forced to do the unthinkable, floating Simone (in Abby’s body!), along with several other Primes. Russell intended to exact his revenge by murdering Madi, but the Dark Commander-possessed tween caught him off guard with a collaboration he couldn’t refuse. Fortunately,...

CW’s ‘The 100’ to End With Season 7
The CW series “The 100” will end with Season 7, show creator Jason Rothenberg tweeted on Sunday. Minutes later, the network confirmed Rothenberg’s “bittersweet news” for reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour.

“With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some bittersweet news to share: Season 7 will be our last,” Rothenberg wrote on Twitter this morning. “We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story the way we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an incredible ride this has been!”

And how it appears on the social media platform, if just for a sense of the early engagement:

‘The 100’: Upcoming Season 7 Will Be The Last For Sci-Fi Drama On The CW – TCA
The 100 is coming to an end with its upcoming seventh season.

The CW is bringing the post-apocalyptic drama to a conclusion after renewing the Jason Rothberg-developed series for a seventh season earlier this year.

The announcement was made by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW at the TCA summer press tour. He said that Rothberg had always wanted to end The 100 after the seventh season and that has a number of ideas that he wants to develop. “We’ve been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series,” he said.

Season 7 will consist of 16 episodes, bringing the series run to 100 episodes.

Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, The 100 is from Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Rothenberg and Leslie Morgenstein.

‘The 100’ to End After Season 7 on The CW
“The 100” is the latest long-running CW series to reach the end of its run.

Series creator Jason Rothenberg announced Sunday that the show’s previously announced seventh season will be its last.

“With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some bittersweet news to share: Season 7 will be our last,” Rothernberg tweeted. “We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story the way we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an incredible ride this has been!”

“The 100’s” seventh season renewal was announced back in April along with CW freshman shows “All American,” “Roswell, New Mexico” and “In The Dark.” It had previously been speculated that the seventh season would be the show’s last.

The 100's Finale Bloodbath: Who Won't Survive to See Season 7? (Photos)
We didn’t think The 100 could kill off any more of our favorite characters this season — but that was before we saw these photos from Tuesday’s finale (The CW, 9/8c). Honestly, we’re trying to decide which is more heartbreaking: the shot of Clarke appearing to say goodbye to Madi, or the one of a desperate Clarke turning her gun on herself. Either way… gulp.

Ominously titled “The Blood of Sanctum,” the show’s season ender comes with an equally ominous logline: “Sanctum becomes a battleground between the devout and the non-believers. The mystery of the anomaly deepens.”

The 100 Season 6 Episode 12 Review: Adjustment Protocol
The 100 takes us on a 40-minute thriller packed with emotional punches as SpaceKru and Sanctum face off

This The 100 review contains spoilers.

The 100 Season 6 Episode 12

The 100 is back with the showdown at Sanctum, and it's every bit the emotionally taut, high stakes rescue operation you'd expect from this season, hurtling us toward the finale. It appears this season's inevitability (if there was one) was that SpaceKru was going to fight with the people of Sanctum. Although it feels less like a fate of our characters' own making and more like something they were forced into by Russell's actions, at least so far. But I suppose it's never too late for Clarke to go full Wanheda!

What really made this episode of sing was all the small character moments that were neatly tucked into what is essentially a forty-minute thriller. Murphy using Prime makeup to give himself a face tattoo like Emori’s,...

The 100's Clarke Explores (Drawings of) Her Past in Creepy, Emotional Sneak Peek

So either Clarke's not dead, or the afterlife is a room filled with emotional graffiti.  At the very end of this week's episode of The 100, Josephine (Eliza Taylor) went to sleep and suddenly a younger-looking Clarke (Eliza Taylor) woke up in a room filled with drawings of the people important to her and big moments from her past, and in our exclusive sneak peek, you can get a much better look at that weird little room. Drawings include her mom (Paige Turco), Madi (Lola Flanery), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) throwing her hands in the air after they first landed on Earth, a very young-looking Bellamy (Bob Morley), and of course, Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), which is the first drawing she gravitates...

The CW Extends Episode Order for The 100 Season 7
The 100 only recently returned for its sixth season on The CW, but the network has already renewed the popular sci-fi drama for a seventh.

There's even more good news:

The 100 Season 7 will span 16 episodes, taking the series to its 100th episode, according to showrunner, Jason Rothenberg.

"16! #the100 #100ofThe100," he shared on Twitter on Wednesday, confirming a rumor that had been doing the rounds on social media.

The episode order is an increase of three episodes as opposed to the previous three seasons.

Related: The 100 Season 6 Episode 5 Review: The Gospel of Josephine

The 100 Season 2 and The 100 Season 3 each had 16 episodes, but those seasons started much earlier than what the series does now.

The 100 Season 5 and The 100 Season 6 had April premieres, but the network is actively looking to have more content on the schedule around the year.

As such, this increase does not suggest a much earlier premiere at this moment in time.
