Not All Real Housewives Cast Members Get Paid To Be On The Show
Image
In 2006, the world was introduced to a group of women labeled as Housewives. It all started with The Real Housewives of Orange County and then grew to feature prominent women from across the U.S. in places like New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Miami, Beverly Hills, Salt Lake City, Potomac, and we can't forget, the women of Washington D.C. (which lasted for a mere one season).

Fans would assume that each and every Real Housewives cast member earns similar salaries, but that's far from the truth.. Although we now know that a Housewives' popularity and number of appearances goes into account when coming up with a salary number for each Housewife, it's surprising to learn that not every person who gets in front of the camera to share personal details of their lives gets a paycheck.

Image
Marco Vega, the butler on the second season of Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, filed a lawsuit alleging he was sexually assaulted by cast members Brandi Glanville and Phaedra Parks.

The suit filed on Friday in the state of New York lists as defendants Bravo, Forest Productions, Warner Bros., NBC Universal, Shed Media and Peacock.

Vega appeared in the second season of the series that brings in Real Housewives cast members from across the franchises. The second season was dubbed “Ex-Wives Club” and it featured the former housewives on a getaway to Dorinda Medley’s Blue Stone Manor in Massachusetts.

The suit states that Vega was hired as the butler for the show and “it was Ms. Glanville who on Rhugt in the Berkshires sexually harassed and abused Marco Vega.”

“Defendants had overwhelming prior notice of Ms. Glanville’s prior deviant sexual proclivities and sexually harassing conduct,...

The Best Halloween Costumes On The Real Housewives (& The Worst)
Image
The Real Housewives stars love a good costume party, and when it comes to Halloween, the housewives pull out all the stops in order to impress not just viewers, but each other. For over a decade, the Real Housewives franchise has given fans a look into their stars' lavish lifestyles, luxurious items, and, of course, the drama that comes along with high status. While there have been many themes featured over the years, such as Crystal Kung Minkoff's roaring 1920s party and Leah McSweeney's Burning Man idea, viewers can always look forward to a Halloween party on each Real Housewives season if the stars happen to film in October.

While the housewives use Halloween to show off their fun and creative spirits, most parties on the Real Housewives feature more than just stand-out costumes. Between previous tensions and the amount of alcohol available, it's not unusual for the...

Last night part three of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion aired, and some of the ladies were joined by their husbands. Todd Tucker was one, in particular, to give viewers some true insight.

Marlo Hampton asked Todd to clarify a comment he made during the cast trip to Jamaica. At the time, Todd said she was “thirsty.”

He hesitated to get into the mess, but since Marlo insisted, he gave her a straight answer.

He reminded Marlo that he worked in production on the show at the time and that he was privy to some information that the cast didn’t know.

He said that the Le Archive owner paid her way to the cast trip to Africa during Season 4 of the show.

Congratulations are in order for Kandi Burruss. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is expecting her third child via surrogate, Bravo reported Thursday afternoon. Cinepocalypse 2017 Review: Practical Creatures Shine in The Terror Of Hallow’S Eve
As a lifelong Monster Kid, the only thing better than a good horror movie is a good horror movie that’s set on Halloween. Despite the fact that the entire month of October is devoted to horror, there are surprisingly few movies actually set on our favorite holiday—and even fewer when talking about the really good ones.

The Terror of Hallow’s Eve, the new movie from accomplished makeup effects artist and director Todd Tucker, is a celebration of Halloween, of monsters, of everything we horror fans love about the season. It begins as an autobiographical story about Tim (Caleb Thomas), a 15-year-old kid obsessed with monsters, who gets bullied by some douchebag classmates on Halloween. When left alone to pass out candy by his doting single mom (Sarah Lancaster), a nurse who has to work the night shift, Tim conjures up the spirit of The Trickster (Doug Jones...

12 Movies Daily Dead is Excited to See at Chicago’s Cinepocalypse 2017 Film Festival
Living in Chicago, I spend much of my year being jealous of all the people I see online going to the various genre film festivals held around the parts of the country that aren’t here… until now.

For the first time ever, Chicago is getting its very own full-blown genre festival with Cinepocalypse, a week-long event running November 2nd–9th at the Music Box Theatre, the best place to see a movie in the entire city. Formerly the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival (which I have attended since it began and always completely loved), Cinepocalypse now has a new venue, a larger and more ambitious slate of programming, and dozens of special guests. It’s going to be bigger and better than any festival of its kind the city has ever seen, and I can’t wait to be there as much as possible to see as many cool movies as possible.

Frightfest 2017: ‘The Terror of Hallow’s Eve’ Preview
One of my most-anticipated from of this years Frightfest offerings is Todd Tucker’s The Terror of Hallow’s Eve which stars Caleb Thomas, Jt Neal, Annie Read, Juliet Landau, Eric Roberts, Doug Jones, Christian Kane, and Sarah Lancaster. Why, you may ask, is a generically titled film, about a wish-granting demon is so high on my must-see list for this years festival? Because Todd Tucker is the man behind one of this decades Best kids movies… Monster Mutt – which is an old-school family film in the most traditional sense: there’s no swearing, no violence and no sex, it really is the epitome of a family movie. Oh and did I mention that it features practical effects thanks to Tucker’s “other” job in SFX?

Given the fact I adored Monster Mutt I have high hopes for The Terror of Hallow’s Eve. Check out the poster and trailer below!

Cof Presents: Our Serious Unboxing & Review of Monster Mutt
It’s the eve of Halloween and what better way to celebrate than with an unboxing and review of the 2010 or 2011 (depending on sources) classic Monster Mutt!

Ryan and I came across this hidden gem in a bargain store bin last year and decided to film the unboxing so we could share the excitement with all of you. For whatever reason, the footage was left unused and forgotten…until now. If you’re not familiar with unboxing videos, basically someone films themselves opening an item and talks about it. They might do this with one hand so the camera shakes (see any Paul Greengrass movie) or they do it using what we in the business call a “Dutch tilt”, where the camera angle is deliberately slanted to one side, awesome right? Well, we did all of that.

First the trailer and synopsis for Monster Mutt:

Mama Joyce Speaks Out on Kandi's Wedding & Reveals Prenup Drama!
Mama Joyce may have behaved herself, but Kandi Burress' wedding to Todd Tucker was not a drama-free affair. In a very revealing (and soundbite-filled) interview with toofab's Brian Particelli, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star's mother made it known that her feelings towards her new son-in-law haven't changed ... and there was some last minute prenup drama that really ticked her off.Anyone who watches the Bravo reality show knows that Kandi's mother and Todd haven't seen eye to eye -- with the protective matriarch accusing him of using her daughter for her money. And while she voiced her opinion almost every chance she got before the wedding, Mama Joyce says she let Kandi have her special day and didn't speak up when the priest asked if anyone objected to their union."I had no reason to bite my tongue," she says. Let’s see: Kandi’s fiance Todd not only has caused a rift with her mother Mama Joyce but her business manager; Phaedra’s husband Apollo showed just how much of a divo he can be on a family photo shoot; and Porsha’s soon-to-be ex husband Kordell Stewart demonstrated just how bitter and angry he can get.

Kandi Burruss Talks 'Real Housewives' Reunion, Tension With NeNe Leakes
Kenya Moore
The fifth installment Real Housewives of Atlanta was so explosive and over the top (two words: Kenya Moore) that Bravo has stretched out the reunion footage over three episodes filled with another season's worth of verbal smackdowns. "I'm so stressed and everything is so tense prior to us going to tape the reunion, and then for Todd -- he already hates being on the show, so he was dying," cast member Kandi Burruss, who's engaged to producer Todd Tucker, tells The Hollywood Reporter.  "The whole week up until the reunion, every day he's like, 'oh my god, I don't know if I should

DVD Review: Monster Mutt
Monster Mutt

Stars: Rhiannon Leigh Wryn, Billy Unger, Zack Ward, Brian Stepanek, Juliet Landau | Written by Timothy Dolan | Directed by Todd Tucker

I’ll admit it, ever since I heard that Monster Mutt was being released I’ve been chomping at the bit (pardon the pun) to watch it. Why? Well the film was described to me as a family-friendly 80s throwback featuring a giant dog that was all puppet and no CGI. 80s? No CGI? Sounds like a dream combo to me… And thankfully I wasn’t disappointed.

Monster Mutt tells the story of the Taylor family, more pointedly the two Taylor children Ashley (Wryn) and Zach (Unger) and their beloved, and clever, family pet Max who is kidnapped by the evil Sirus Caldwell (Ward) and subjected to a bizarre experimental injection that sees Max transformed into the eponymous monster mutt. With a little help from scientist Dr. Victor...

First Look At The Ghost Story Flick End Of The Road (Spirit Hunters)
Here's a cool first look at End Of The Road (Spirit Hunters) which has a very impressive cast including Doug Jones, Michael Dorn, Robert Picardo, Zack Ward, Danielle James, Davina Joy and Todd Tucker.

The name could go either way right now so we'll tag it as both. End Of the Road and Spirit Hunters. Some people wait to the last minute to make a final decision, it's all a part of merketing which I'm all too familiar with myself. The ghost story is directed by first timer J.P. Pierce, from a script by Monte M. Moore.

Synopsis:

Cinematographer and soundman, Morgan and Cricket, head to a remote Idaho ranch to film the pilot episode of “Spirit Seekers,” a new reality TV show about ghost hunters. When the host dies during filming, the production shuts down. Unbeknownst to the cast and crew, the show’s director planned the host’s death to boost ratings.

Exclusive - Steven Goldmann Talks the Future of Trailer Park of Terror, DeadFellas and More
In May of 2007 (just prior to the nation’s economic collapse), this writer visited the set of the Bogner Entertainment and Trailer Park Partners production Trailer Park of Terror, a Southern-fried fright flick directed by country-music video director-turned feature filmmaker Steven Goldmann. Produced by Jonathan Bogner and Ralph Singleton (Pet Semetary) and based on the Imperium Comics of the same name, Trailer Park of Terror premiered the following year at Slamdance ’08, and was released to DVD that October via Summit Entertainment.

Starring Lew Temple and Priscilla Barnes (The Devil’s Rejects) and Nichole Hiltz, Duane Whitaker (Feast), Ed Corbin and Michelle Lee (among others), Trailer Park of Terror, regardless of its playfully sadistic EC Comics-vibe and inspired makeup designs by Todd Tucker, didn’t cause the waves its producers had predicted, and due to such, unfortunately derailed the planned feature franchise and television and comic book series. Perplexing, given the gonzo cocktail of sex,...
