[TV] Zorro: The Complete Series
Before DVDs, there was the VHS rental market, syndication, and the occasional art house or revival, but really, the industry was sitting on a whole lot of unmonetized content in their archives. Then along came the DVD: people started collecting, studio archivists got assistants, and suddenly everyone was making money (and making-of featurettes). Fifteen years on, well, you can only release Seinfeld so many times, so here we are, with the Family Channel’s thoroughly mediocre Zorro in hastily produced box set form.

You remember Zorro of course: the Batman of Spanish California, the man with no name who never rides out of town. With trusty steed Tornado, bullwhip and sword, he sows justice in the night with cunning and speed, ("Zorro" is Spanish for "fox", keep up!) and from 1990-1993, he sowed poorly choreographed justice on basic cable. Like Batman, he is a man of education and means, but unlike Bruce Wayne,...

Soap Star Tylo Weds
Hunter Tylo at an event for The 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards (2005)
American actress Hunter Tylo has wed in a secret Las Vegas ceremony - three months after ending her on/off romance with guitarist Corey Cofield.

Tylo, 47, and Gersson Archila, 38, exchanged vows at Cupid's Wedding Chapel on 28 November.

U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer snapped the new couple during the ceremony, with close friends and family celebrating the union.

The Bold and the Beautiful star hit the headlines in September after splitting with Cofield, who she accused of abusing her children after she discovered he was cheating on her.

Archila is Tylo's third husband. The actress ended her 18-year marriage to actor Michael Tylo in 2005. She was previously married to Tom Moreheart.

Prototype Power Glove Massacre Shockingly Nintendo-less!
The premise of the new sci-fi thriller Prototype reminds me very much of a mostly forgotten film from 1989, Deadly Weapon, about an emotionally disturbed teen that gets hold of a military laser gun, which itself was a pseudo-remake of 1978's Laserblast, a cult fave about a troubled teen that gets his hand on an alien laser cannon. This time the high-tech tools of vengeance are telekinetic power gloves, and you better believe the revenge-minded wearer - now he's playing with power!

Prototype was co-written and directed by Michael Reilly and stars Mark Kelly, Michael Tylo, Steve Zissis (Baghead), and Joe Cabitat. Worldwide Film Entertainment is currently looking for distribution and no doubt will be shopping this low budget high-tech thriller about a teen who can bitch slap you to death from thirty feet away at next month's American Film Market.

"Geeky high-schooler Alex Mackendrick, dissed by his girlfriend, boss, and stepfather,...

Tylo Gives 'Abusive' Boyfriend Another Chance
American actress Hunter Tylo has settled her differences with her allegedly abusive boyfriend after the pair underwent couples therapy.

The former The Bold and the Beautiful star, 46, filed for a restraining order against Corey Cofield last year, claiming he abused her children.

In the legal documents, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Tylo alleged one of her young daughters had complained to their family doctor that Cofield was "yelling at her and her sister and hitting them with a belt". The youngster also accused Cofield of making them do "excessive push ups" for long periods of time.

Tylo also recounted one occasion when Cofield is said to have trapped her in her bedroom and grabbed her by the throat, reports TMZ.com.

Cofield denied all allegations, but a judge granted Tylo the restraining order last May, forcing her lover to stay away from her and her family.

However, it has now emerged the actress had the ban terminated in October after Cofield agreed to seek treatment for his behavioural problems.

The termination request suggested he had "been taking parenting classes" and had "attended family and couple's therapy".

Tylo has three kids from previous relationships: son Christopher Morehart from her first marriage to Tom Morehart, and daughters Izabella and Katya from her relationship with Michael Tylo. Her son, Michael Tylo, Jr., drowned in a tragic accident in 2007.
