Now that Batman: Gotham by Gaslight has opened the door for various other Elseworlds tales to be adapted as animated films, Superman: Red Son will be the first to follow in its footsteps. To be quite honest, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise because the limited series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Dave Johnson has long remained one of the most popular in the line, not to mention DC fans demanding this become a reality for years.

To briefly sum up what that story entailed for those unfamiliar, what you need to know going into your first viewing of the animated flick is that it explored that possibility of baby Kal-El’s rocket landing in Soviet Russia instead of in Smallville, Kansas. Superman: Red Son is the next iconic DC Comics story to get the animated feature treatment, and it's coming very, very soon!

Indeed, the 2003 comic miniseries from Mark Millar, Dave Johnson, and Killian Plunkett, which might just be the best known Elseworlds tale ever, is set land its animated movie in February, 2020.

The original story imagines a world where baby Kal-El's ship crashed in Ukraine instead of Kansas, and then Superman was raised as a Soviet superweapon. It features some of the sharpest Elseworlds design work ever done, adapting the entire Justice League into brutalist Soviet art styles. And it's one of those rare Millar books where the heart is bigger than the shock value of the story.

Last year, despite the fact that the first season of Legends did very poorly in the ratings, TNT renewed it for a second season anyway. The producers have given the series a creative overhaul in hopes of attracting more viewers. Will it work or will the changes alienate the viewers they had? Cancelled or renewed for a third season? The course of film production seldom runs smooth, and even the greatest films can suffer from all sorts of behind-the-scenes problems. For a very recent example, just look at Fantastic Four, a film with which suffered the kind of difficult production that will no doubt inspire books on the subject in the near future.

John Singleton is poised to be the next filmmaker to make the leap to television, as FX has picked up the pilot for Snowfall, a show co-created by Singleton. The press release had this summary of the series.

Los Angeles 1981. A storm is coming and its name is cocaine. Snowfall is a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint, young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata, a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller, a prominent family’s “black sheep” desperate to escape his father’s shadow.

It’s not exactly who killed Laura Palmer, or what happened to Mulder’s sister, but the question of what happened to Melinda May that earned her the reputation of being a one woman army is one of the unknown mysteries of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Although we know the broad strokes of how Agent May became known as “The Cavalry,” any threat of the episode named after her becoming somewhat anticlimactic was washed away thanks to a solid script that plausibly tied together flashback action and the story in the present day. It also allowed Ming-Na Wen to put on an acting clinic as we watch May transform from a talented agent and wife eager to start a family, to the steely face of determination and dependability.

May’s problem in the present is the secrets that Coulson’s been keeping, a second life he’s been leading as Director of S.

Last week, a new poster surfaced for tomorrow night's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., "Melinda", which largely focuses on Ming-Na Wen's Agent Melinda May. The episode also delves more into Skye's (Chloe Bennet) Inhuman transformation, as we can see in a new clip that also features guest star Dichen Lachman as Jiaying, who is helping Skye harness her abilities. Sons of Anarchy continues Season 4 with Episode 4.06: With an X airing Tuesday, October 11 at 10 Pm Et on FX. Actresses Winter Ave Zoli, who portrays Lyla, and Kristen Renton, who plays Ima, recently held a conference call to discuss the upcoming episode of this hit biker gang series. Here's what they had to say below.

Kristen, have you had conversations with Kurt Sutter that your character somehow will have some sort of a redemptive moment? She's always been the bad girl, will she ever see the light, or is she being run off, if you can elaborate on where your character is going for the fans.

Kristen Renton: Good question. I have not spoken to Kurt about what will be transpiring later on in the coming seasons or anything like that. I feel like she's the main bad girl of this show and I don't think that he's going to change that.

Lyla and Opie got married on the fourth season premiere of Sons of Anarchy. But there's a certain aborted secret between the pair that will create major tension later this fall.

They'll "definitely be dealing with their relationship and their issues," Winter Ave Zoli told me over the phone, offering little more about how Lyla's abortion and Opie's hopes for another child will come to the forefront on a future episode.

Zoli didn't think she'd even be on the show at this point. She was initially brought in as a guest star for two weeks, maximum. But the actress said Kurt Sutter approached her about a relationship with Opie that might lead to additional five episodes. That was many episode ago.

Now, she shares almost all of her scenes with Ryan Hurst, who Zoli describes as "a gentle soul and a very nice guy."

For those following the coverage of Season 3 currently airing in the U.K on Five U.S, you’ll have noticed the reviews being mysteriously absent from the site over the last few weeks.
