El pasado 24 de julio finalizó el rodaje en Bizkaia y Madrid de la película Abuela tremenda, primer largometraje de la cineasta Ana Vázquez (Élite), basado en un guion de Roberto Jiménez (El casoplón).

Abuela tremenda nos presenta a Toñi, que no es una abuela cualquiera. Es un torbellino, un alma libre que siempre se está metiendo en líos. A su hija Daniela la trae un poco de cabeza, pero su nieta Alexia la adora. Por eso, cuando Daniela lleva a Alexia al retiro rural de su empresa, Toñi no duda en presentarse allí con su caravana para pasar tiempo con su nieta y animar el cotarro. Toñi pondrá patas arriba el retiro y el trabajo de Daniela y, sin querer, también pondrá algunas cosas en su sitio.

Bteam Pictures ha desvelado el primer teaser tráiler de Maspalomas, la nueva película de Jose Mari Goenaga y Aitor Arregi.

Maspalomas sigue a Vicente, un hombre de 76 años que, tras romper con su pareja, disfruta de la vida a su manera en Maspalomas: tumbado al sol, de fiesta y en busca del placer. Pero un accidente inesperado le obliga a regresar a San Sebastián y a reencontrarse con su hija, a quien abandonó años atrás. Ahora Vicente tendrá que adaptarse a la vida en una residencia, donde se verá empujado a volver al armario y a ocultar una parte de sí mismo que creía resuelta. En este nuevo entorno, Vicente deberá preguntarse si aún está a tiempo de reconciliarse con los demás y consigo mismo.

La película 8, dirigida por Julio Medem (Lucía y el sexo), se proyectará fuera de concurso en la Sección oficial del 28 Festival de Málaga, que tendrá lugar del 14 al 23 de marzo.

8 retrata cómo, a lo largo de 90 años, las vidas de Octavio y Adela se entrelazan en forma de 8, a través de intensos encuentros y desencuentros. Una historia de amor contada en ocho planos secuencia con ocho periodos decisivos de la historia reciente de España como telón de fondo.

La película está encabezada por Ana Rujas (La Mesías) y Javier Rey (La última noche en Tremor). Completan el reparto Álvaro Morte, Tamar Novas, Loreto Mauleón, Carla Díaz, María Isasi, Mateo Medina, Oriol Riera, Asier Burguete, Patxi Barco, Kandido Uranga, Javier Morgade y Andoni Agirregomezkorta.

Adapted from a novel by Jesús Carrasco, the film is a Spanish fable set in an "Old West" tyrannical and oppressive version of Spain filled with misery and poorness, following a boy who runs away to find freedom. It's the story of a friendship between a boy who undertakes a journey through the desert fleeing from the relentless foreman of the town, and a Goatherd who has long lived outside society. This looks freaky cool. A full-length international trailer has debuted for a Spanish horror fantasy film titled Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil, which has been playing at a few of the big horror film festivals in Europe since premiering in Sitges late last year. From Spanish filmmaker Paul Urkijo Alijo, Errementari does tell the story of a blacksmith outside of a small town, who is perhaps possessed by the devil. It's actually about a government commissioner investigating the blacksmith, and a young orphan girl named Usue who manages to sneak inside the smithy's place and discover the truth. Errementari stars Kandido Uranga as the blacksmith Patxi, Uma Bracaglia as Usue, plus Eneko Sagardoy, Ramón Aguirre, José Ramón Argoitia, Gorka Aguinagalde, Josean Bengoetxea, and Iñigo de la Iglesia. I'm not sure what to make of this, could be good or could be bad. The shot of the devil at the end is wicked.

A new film poster has been revealed for Errementari: The Blacksmith And The Devil. The graphic is a bit of a mind-binder as a face overshadows a blacksmith and a young girl. Errementari is being developed by first time feature film director Paul Urkijo Alijo and producer Álex de la Iglesia (Witching and Bitching, 2013). Already finished, this title is in post-production. As well, the film stars: Eneko Sagardoy and Kandido Uranga. The latest details on Errementari are hosted here. The film' story involves a solitary blacksmith and a harassing Devil. The Devil wants the blacksmith's soul. Meanwhile, the blacksmith wants to escape his prison. A young girl offers a solution, if both the blacksmith and Devil will allow her to help.
