Dimitar Valchev(1929-1995)

Dimitar Valchev is a Bulgarian composer , member of the Union of Bulgarian Composers , author of chamber music and pop music, children's songs, music, theater, operettas , musicals, film music. His most famous song is "One Bulgarian Rose". He was born on July 3, 1929 in Stanimaka (Asenovgrad), Bulgaria. He has finished the Bulgarian State Conservatory in Sofia with a degree in "piano" in the class of Professor Andrey Stoyanov in 1952, later - "composition" in the class of Professor Parashkev Hadziev . He was conductor of the "National Theatre for the village" in the period 1954 - 1960 and since 1960 more than 30 years led the orchestra at the State Theatre of Satire in Sofia. Since 1992 he is a musical dramatist in Musical Theater "Stephan Makedonski." Dimitar Valchev is the author of musicals for adults and children placed in Musical Theater "Stephan Makedonski" and National Theatre for Youth today "Youth Theatre"; in provincial theaters; they are broadcast on Radio and Television .
