Who needs a house of horrors when you can stride alongside Philippe Petit, high above the hustle & bustle of 1970s New York, on a death-defying tightrope walk that’ll make your palms sweat and your head spin? Well, Robert Zemeckis’ 2015 biographical drama, The Walk, led you on a cinematic tightrope where you may find your stomach doing somersaults.

In this vertiginous venture, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Philippe Petit, we were invited to tangibly tread, albeit vicariously, between the iconic Twin Towers, chasing the footsteps of the legendary French high-wire artist. Zemeckis didn’t just let you watch; he placed you on that slender cable in the air, conjuring realism through the big screen that neither Petit’s own memoir nor the gripping documentary could.

Viscerally, the director’s objective was accomplished; there were tidings of audience members experiencing nausea, anxiety, or even walking out during screenings.

Released last Halloween, Nickelodeon’s live action Monster High: The Movie was a hit for Paramount+, and the brand new trailer for Monster High 2 unveiled today promises school is back in session sooner than expected.

Monster High 2 is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

The movie will also premiere on Nickelodeon on the same day at 7 pm Et/Pt. Encores air every weekend in October on Nickelodeon, as part of their Monster Movie Madness programming.

Now, the man behind the song is getting the biopic treatment.

John Larkin — better known by his stage name Scatman John — passed away from cancer in 1999 at the age of 57 — just five years after his most famous track was first released. But international production banner Trick Candle Productions has acquired the rights to his life story and is developing Scatman, set to chronicle the musician’s “wild life and positive influence.”

Written by Stephen Basilone (Community, The Goldbergs) and Annie Mebane (The Goldbergs, Shrinking), the film — which will include unparalleled access to the entire Scatman music library, as well as private home videos — will detail Larkin’s struggles with being a lifelong stutterer, bullying, abuse at home,...

Released earlier this month, Nickelodeon’s live action Monster High: The Movie has proven to be a big time success, and just like that a sequel has now already been ordered up!

Deadline reports, “Nickelodeon and Mattel Television have given a green light to a sequel to the live-action movie musical. Based on the Mattel franchise about the children of famous monsters and creatures, the feature-length TV movie will begin production in January in Vancouver, Canada, and will air on Nickelodeon and stream on Paramount+ in 2023.”

A sequel to Monster High The Movie, based on the popular Mattel toy line, is in the works from Paramount+, Nickelodeon and Mattel Television.

The latest live action TV movie will once again be based on the Monster High Mattel toyline that features teenage children of monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman undergoing the trials and tribulations of high school.

The feature-length TV movie will also again be produced in Vancouver and will air on Nickelodeon and stream on Paramount+ in 2023. The first live-action movie for the franchise, Monster High The Movie, successfully debuted on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on Oct. 6, 2022.

The sequel is being penned by Matt Eddy and Billy Eddy, based on a story they wrote with Todd Holland, who will direct and executive produce the sequel.

Chicago – I am not opposed to dramatic retellings of true events from history, but I think the drama should at least be as entertaining as a PBS documentary on the same subject. “The Walk” tells the true story of a French wire walker and the twin tower World Trade Center in the mid-1970s.

While its vertigo inducing finale delivers the goods, “The Walk” can’t quite justify its own existence especially since there’s a perfectly fascinating documentary about the same subject readily available. Beyond that, I knew that I was looking at the state-of-the-art of what visual effects could accomplish in the year 2015 and not actual footage of an event in the '70s. Leave it to Robert Zemeckis to make one man balancing on a tightrope more of a visual spectacle than anything else hitting theaters this fall – and that’s including trips to Neverland, future dystopias and Gothic haunted houses. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays French daredevil Philippe Petit in The Walk – and in the new trailer for the pic, adapted from Petit’s book To Reach the Clouds, he appears to have one of the most exciting – and physically demanding – roles of his career.

Petit’s story – involving an illegal wire walk between the World Trade Center towers in 1974 – was last adapted to film in James Marsh’s documentary Man on Wire, which won an Oscar back in 2008.

Principal photography has wrapped on the inaugural film from Tom Rothman’s TriStar Productions, now officially titled The Walk.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film is a true story based on Philippe Petit’s book “To Reach the Clouds,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the young dreamer who dared the impossible: an illegal wire walk between the World Trade Center towers.

Zemeckis wrote the screenplay with Christopher Browne. Producers are Steve Starkey, Robert Zemeckis, and Jack Rapke. The film will be released on October 2, 2015.

Ben Schwartz has joined the cast of Robert Zemeckis's upcoming film, it has been announced.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is already attached to star in the movie, an untitled project about the famous tightrope walker Philippe Petit.

According to The Wrap, the feature will be a photorealistic 3D film, and is set for release on October 2, 2015.

Ben Kingsley, Steve Valentine, and James Badge Dale are also set to appear in the upcoming movie.

Schwartz is best known for roles on Parks and Recreation and House of Lies.

His film No Hearts Club was recently bought by Universal.

After working with Robert Zemeckis on “A Christmas Carol,” Steve Valentine has been cast alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the director's new TriStar movie “The Walk.” While the project was formerly known as “To Reach the Clouds,” Sony said the film is currently untitled in a press release sent to press on Tuesday. It's unclear whether “The Walk” is the new title, or simply a working title at this point, as a representative for Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Last night, CBS released the new promo/spoiler clip (below) for their upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" episode 23 of season 7, and it appears that things will get pretty crazy as Penny growls it up in a gorilla suit for the cameras, and more. The episode is titled, "The Gorilla Dissolution.” In the new, 23rd episode, A bad day will prompt Penny to take a 2nd look at her life choices, including Leonard. In the meantime, Howard and Bernadette will encounter a pretty rough time, trying to care for Mrs. Wolowitz, and Raj will lean on Sheldon for relationship advice.
