Bengaluru, Feb 21 (Ians) In a significant feat, a hospital in Bengaluru performed a hand replantation surgery on a 51-year-old male factory manager, whose wrist got severed while testing a new machine.

Sathya Vamsi Krishna, Consultant – Hand, Upper-limb and Microvascular Surgery, Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, performed the replantation surgery – an advanced procedure where bone, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and tendons are accurately identified and sutured using microsurgical techniques.

Timely presentation at the hospital and medical expertise by the team of doctors ensured that the replantation was successful through a 7-hour complex surgery.

Post an accident, the patient was rushed to a nearby clinic which was not equipped to handle such a case. The patient was then immediately rushed to Fortis Bannerghatta Road. This was a challenging case as it was time-sensitive and demanded the highest level of skill and expertise in re-joining a total of six severed veins.

Chennai, April 10: Producer D.V.V. Danayya will collaborate with actor Ram Charan Teja for his upcoming yet-untitled Telugu project with director Sreenu Vaitla. The project is expected to go on floors in August.

Chennai, Feb 6: Money is the most important factor around which the story of Nani-starrer Telugu actioner "Paisa" revolves, says director Krishna Vamsi, who is confident about the film's success when it releases Friday.

"Even the character in my film is called Pracash, because he chases money more than anything in the world. I have tried to emphasize on the impact money has on our lives, how it is dictating to us. Money plays a very important character and without it there's no story in the film," Krishna Vamsi told Ians.

Chennai, Jan 27: Telugu actor Nani, who didn't have a single release in 2013, will have three releases - "Paisa", "Janda Pai Kapiraju" and "Aaha Kalyanam" - next month.

Nani's last release was 2012 Telugu blockbuster "Eega" by S.S. Rajamouli.

The first of the three releases will be Krishna Vamsi-directed "Paisa", set for a Feb 7 release. It was supposed to release last year but has been postponed several times.

"For various reasons we couldn't release 'Paisa' last year. I don't want to discuss the reasons in detail but I'm glad that our film is finally releasing Feb 7," Krishna Vamsi told Ians.
