As we get ready to say goodbye to March, we have one last round of horror and sci-fi Blu-ray and DVD releases headed our way before the new month arrives, and this week’s assortment of titles is pretty damn great. Tragedy Girls is receiving a new Blu-ray release courtesy of those fine fiends over at Vinegar Syndrome, and they are also keeping busy with several other titles this week, too: Flesh for Frankenstein, Beware! Children at Play, and Sister, Sister.

Severin Films is also doing the dark lord’s work with all their amazing releases on tap for this Tuesday, including their 3-Disc Limited Edition set for House on the Edge of the Park, Ballad in Blood, and The Forbidden Door. And for those of you who dig shark-themed horror, you should definitely check out The Requin.

Monique van Vooren, the Belgian-born actress who starred as a villainess in Tarzan and the She-Devil and played the Penguin's moll in Burgess Meredith's final appearance on Batman, has died. She was 92.

Van Vooren died Saturday of cancer at her home in New York City, her son, New York realtor and occasional actor Eric Purcell, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sean Stone Talks Greystone Park, on Blu-ray and DVD October 16th

Anyone who listens to Alex Jones knows that Sean Stone is a very interesting and outspoken individual. He started acting in his dad Oliver Stone's films at a very young age, and has since grown into a prolific documentarian, director and writer who makes his fictional feature debut with Greystone Park, on Blu-ray and DVD today, October 16th.

While Greystone Park is a scripted thriller based on a true story, quite a few of the scares we see on screen came from actual events that took place during the shooting of this found footage hybrid. Sean not only writes and directs, but he also stars as himself, one of three filmmakers who set out to investigate the real life Greystone Park, an abandoned insane asylum located in New Jersey.

Today co-writer/director Sean Stone's feature film debut, Greystone Park, hits DVD and Blu-ray courtesy of Xlrator Media. The found footage spookfest also stars Stone and his co-writer on the project, Alexander Wraith, and features a cameo by Sean's iconic father, Oliver Stone.

Recently Dread Central had the opportunity to briefly chat with Stone about the project, what inspired the story behind Greystone Park and more on the challenges he faced along the way while working on the project over the last several years.

To bring originality to the found footage genre is a challenge in itself. Due to the sub-genres simplistic style and minimal cost productions it's a no brainer for smaller production companies to get involved with but bringing the intended scares to its audience can still escape the director. Hopefully helmer Sean Stone, son of filmmaker Oliver Stone, can bring a fresh perspective with his directorial feature debut 'Greystone Park'. The movie stars Stone along with Antonella Lentini, John Schramm, Monique Zordan and Monique Van Vooren as well as appearances from writer Alexander Wraith and Sean's father Oliver Stone. With Comic-Con winding down, we're able to sift through the emails that have landed in our inbox over the past few days, and one that caught our attention involves Greystone Park from Oliver Stone's son, Sean. Read on for a look at the film's new poster and release dates.

Monique van Vooren, Joe Dallesandro, Flesh for Frankenstein Flesh For Frankenstein Review Part I But Monique van Vooren's performance as the Baroness stands out as the funniest, as throughout the film she resonates a mix of aristocratic propriety and unadulterated lust. For instance, the Baroness looks disgusted at the stable-boy's ostentatious sexual display, all the while plotting to get the young, opportunistic slab-of-beef into bed with her. In another scene, while the stable-boy is busy telling her about his decapitated friend, the Baroness, oblivious to such boring conversation, hungrily slurps and licks her way around his armpits. Also hilarious is Udo Kier's Baron Frankenstein, whose big, piercing, icy-blue eyes penetrate every gaze and whose Slavic accent consistently confuses his v's with his w's. Much to his credit, Kier plays his role with the right amount of conviction; after all, his Baron is a man-of-science who takes his gruesome job quite seriously.

The film is young Stone's (pictured right) feature film debut and will tell the tale of a group of filmmakers who are shooting inside a haunted psychiatric hospital famous for its radical treatment of patients. They quickly discover they are not alone.

Considering most young directors make their jumping off point with our beloved splatter-filled genre, this makes perfect sense. Let's just hope that he hangs around a while. The film stars Stone himself along with his co-writer Alexander Wraith and Antonella Lentini. It also features a cameo from screen legend Monique Van Vooren.

The Robert Evans Co. and Henri Kessler's Pacific Transmedia Corp. are fully financing Secretstone, the feature directorial debut of Sean Stone, who is Oliver Stone's son. Stone penned SecretStone with Alexander Wraith. The storyline revolves around a group of filmmakers who are shooting inside a haunted psychiatric hospital famous for its radical treatment of patients. They quickly discover they are not alone. Stone stars alongside Wraith and Antonella Lentini. It also features a cameo from screen legend Monique Van Vooren. Producers are Mind the Gap/Headlong Entertainment's Kaila York and Giulia Prenna. On a $2 million budget, Stone will tell the story of a group of filmmakers who find supernatural trouble while shooting in a haunted psychiatric hospital. Stone will star alongside co-writer Alexander Wraith and Antonella Lentini. Old school actress Monique Van Vooren - whose last role was in Oliver Stone's '87 Wall Street - signed for a cameo. Sean Stone will embark on a new journey as he makes preparations for his first feature film, Shadowland. The movie is already being compared to The Blair Witch Project; it is about the mental hospital where John F. Kennedy's sister, Rosemary, was tragically lobotomised and rendered incapacitated at a young age.

Continuing their close artistic relationship, both son and dad will act in this film, reprising their real-life relationship. Monique van Vooren, who had a part in Oliver Stone's first film, will also take part in Sean's project.
