Severance has been ruling the television landscape with its ever-evolving storyline and unique perspective of the office environment. With its third season in renewal, much has been unsaid and undone in this highly acclaimed Apple TV+ series. One such plot that can be vividly remembered is around Peter and his daughter June Kilmer.
As a result, in an interview with Variety, Ben Stiller and Adam Scott talked about the possibilities of a Severance-world in the future. When asked about the probable spin-offs, the esteemed director said,
“There are two specific ideas — that I won’t tell you — that we’ve talked about internally as possible spinoff ideas.”
When further questioned about the development status or discussions with the streaming platform, Stiller said,
“They are nascent.”
With this tease, the spinoffs would cover a major plotline that has or affects the whole show. Let’s delve into the 9 to 5 plot...

Ramón Rodríguez is best known for his roles in premium TV series like HBO’s The Wire and Showtime’s The Affair, but it’s his work as executive producer and star of the hit ABC network procedural Will Trent that catapulted the Puerto Rican native to another level.
While Rodríguez admits he was hesitant in the past to take roles on network television, he realized that a project like Will Trent, done with passion and with a powerful creative team to collaborate with, could make high-quality TV that’s accessible to all. And it’s a bonus for his Latino community to see themselves represented through his contributions, and in supporting roles played by many of the community’s most respected names in Hollywood: John Ortiz, Yul Vazquez, and Gina Rodriguez.
This season, the procedural put Will through the wringer, tearing down many of his dreams with the hope...

Paul Greengrass is returning to the genre of survival drama with his latest film, The Lost Bus. It's been five years since the director's last film, News of the World, was released in 2020, and the filmmaker is now teaming with Apple TV+ to distribute this latest project. Much like Greengrass' previous works, Green Zone, Captain Phillips, and July 22, The Lost Bus is based on real events— in this case, California's 2018 Camp Fire, which is still regarded as the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. A new teaser released by Apple features Matthew McConaughey, who stars as a bus driver navigating the roads to get children and their teacher to safety amid wildfires and destruction.
The brief one-minute teaser released for the movie (which can be viewed below) depicts Kevin McCay (McCounaughey) reluctantly coming to the decision to volunteer to pick up stranded children as the wildfire begins to grow.

To date, the 2018 Camp Fire remains the most devastating wildfire in California’s history, leaving 85 dead, 150,000+ acres burned and more than $16 billion in damage. It’s no surprise the story is being turned into a movie; now, we have the first teaser for that adaptation, titled The Lost Bus.
The teaser, which came from Apple TV+ this weekend, shows just a part of the scope of the deadly wildfires, with much focus put on Matthew McConaughey’s school bus driver as he takes on the task of filling the bus with children caught up in the disaster. All it takes for him to spring into action is a call asking, “There’s a situation at Ponderosa Elementary. There are 23 kids who are stranded. Is there anybody in the area that can pick them up?”
The Lost Bus seems like a perfect fit for both director Paul Greengrass and McConaughey, who have yet to team up.

Since his acclaimed 2013 drama Captain Phillips, Paul Greengrass has had a bit of a rocky career. There was an unnecessary return to the Bourne franchise, the misstep that was 22 July, and the pandemic-hobbled release of News of the World. He’s now back five years later with hopefully a strong return to form. The Lost Bus, scripted by Brad Inglesby and based on Lizzie Johnson’s Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, will arrive this fall in theaters and on Apple TV+. [Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for Will Trent Season 3’s finale, “Listening to a Heartbeat.”] Things got very, very hectic on multiple fronts on Tuesday’s (May 13) Season 3 finale for Will Trent. The episode picked up where the penultimate episode left off — with the hospital being overrun by sick patients after a bioterrorism attack — and among the many ill patients was Nico (Cora Lu Tran). Will (Ramón Rodríguez) raced to find the source of the outbreak — with the help of newfound father Caleb (Yul Vazquez), above work mom Amanda’s (Sonja Sohn) protective concerns — and he tracked it down to a container that’d been widely disseminated and used by people across the city. The good news? The CDC, which just so happens to be in the same city, had a supply of anti-toxins for this exact purpose. The bad news? It’d need to be transported through potentially hostile territory with some police muscle. Faith (...

Will Trent star and executive producer Ramón Rodríguez opens up about the choice to cast Yul Vazquez as the main character's father. Will Trent season 3, episode 17, "Why Hello, Sheriff," became a game changer. It was revealed that Angie (Erika Christensen) was pregnant with Dr. Seth McDale (Scott Foley) as the father. In an interview with Variety, Rodriguez praised Vazquez's readiness to jump into the role and delved into his overall suitability for the part. The executive producer also discussed the physical similarity at play between Will and the guarded Roussard. Lo, in the final shot, the hospital where Michael Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) and Nico (Cora Lu Tran) were at began filling up and went on lockdown with them and Dr. Seth (Scott Foley) stuck inside. “As our line producer has reminded us many times, this is the biggest episode that we have ever undertaken, just in terms of resources that we’re putting into it,” executive producer Daniel T. Can’t say that I blame Ellen Pompeo for being “deeply against” the Grey’s Anatomy storyline in which legendary rule-breaker Meredith followed protocol to the letter upon learning that Catherine’s protegé Evynn had lied about wife Tasha’s Alzheimer’s in order to obtain a liver transplant for her. But, as the actress tells our sister site Variety, “I don’t always have a say in the choices the character makes. And writers will initially service a plot before they might stop to think, ‘Would the Meredith Grey that [Ellen] built… make that choice?’”
Case in point: the Season 21 two-parter in question.

Spoilers ahead for “Severance” Season 2, Episode 10.
Heading into Season 2, “Severance” star Tramell Tillman had one request for series creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller: “Please don’t make me dance in Season 2.”
“The Music Dance Experience [in Season 1] was so iconic, and I loved how people embraced that moment,” Tillman told TheWrap. “It has become meme-ed over and over and over again, it’s on T-shirts and whatnot. It’s beautiful. But there are some things that you can’t recreate.”
Tillman was adamant that he didn’t want to set up the expectation that Mr. Milchick dances every season. But when Stiller mentioned he was bringing in a marching band for the Season 2 finale, Tillman started to change his tune.
“I got excited. I sat up. I said, ‘Well, wait, what is this marching band? Is this a military-style marching band? Is this a band that’s a similar to those at HBCUs?...
Heading into Season 2, “Severance” star Tramell Tillman had one request for series creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller: “Please don’t make me dance in Season 2.”

The Severance Season 2 finale, “Cold Harbor,” answered a lot of burning questions fans had, including what Cold Harbor actually is and (sort of) what’s going on with those goats. Fans got other resolutions in prior episodes as well, including the answer to where Gemma (Dichen Lachman) has been all the time and why Harmony (Patricia Arquette) felt so slighted by Lumon firing her (and why Helena — Britt Lower — still offered her a job to placate her).
The ending was beautifully, emotionally presented, but left fans with yet another epic cliffhanger to digest for the next little while until a not-yet-confirmed Season 3 arrives (it’s likely the show will be renewed). There are plenty of questions that remain, but one big, new question has arrived that’s crucial to how the story will move forward.
