The female-focused cable channel has a new Saturday-night movies slate “centered on women facing unfathomable circumstances who use their faith to lead them through,” according to Lifetime. The four films on tap will star Chrissy Metz (This Is Us), Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids), Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) and Paula Patton (Precious), respectively.

Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story (July 19) is based on the true story of the devastating 2018 fire that ripped through Paradise, California; it stars Metz in the title role of hero nurse Jolly.

The following week (July 26) is PenaVega’s turn in Before Your Father Finds Us, the story of a woman who “must draw on her faith to hide her and her teen daughter from her violent ex-husband.” It’s a very Lifetime scenario.

On August 2, Graham’s adaptation of Terri Blackstock’s Christian suspense book Terri Blackstock’s If I Run premieres.

Michelle Trachtenberg, the star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died at 39. Trachtenberg was found by her mother around 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 26 at a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South neighborhood, the NYPD reported in a statement.

“On Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at approximately 0801 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided individual at 1 Columbus Place, within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct,” they said in the statement. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. Ems responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased.”

“Criminality is not suspected,” they went on to say. “The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.”

Trachtenberg reportedly had a recent medical issue, recently underwent a liver transplant and died of natural causes, according to the NYPD.

At the Texas Film Hall of Fame Induction ceremony for Powell, Rodriguez discussed how he came across the teenage actor and gave him his first big break in Hollywood. On Monday (April 15), the couple announced in a joint statement that their baby girl, who they named Indy, was a stillborn.
