He’s a lover of urban myths, history, and downright absurdity, and he’s also a man who likes to create something timely and timeless all at the same time.

The majority of people will know Kripke for his CW series Supernatural, but he has worked on many other shows and movies before that. Since his Supernatural days, he’s become a creator to watch out for, but that doesn’t mean everything he’s made is something you need to watch right now. There's a lot to love about the new hit Max medical drama "The Pitt." The series was created by "ER" producer R. Scott Gemmill and follows one 15-hour shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center's emergency room, led by senior attending Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) and charge nurse Dana Evans (Katherine Lanasa).

Each episode is one hour in the shift, making for an incredible sense of urgency that mimics the life-or-death nature of actually being in an emergency situation, and having some cast members with real-life experience helps keep it all authentic. In addition to casting medical professionals as some of the background actors, there are also some former "ER" stars, like Wyle and Shawn Hatosy, who plays night shift attending Dr. Jack Abbott. And, it turns out, everyone's favorite charge nurse also had a short stint on the classic NBC series.

Practical Magic 2 is getting closer to production, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are onboard, Susanne Bier is in talks to direct.

It was confirmed last year that Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are in talks to reprise their roles for a sequel to the 1998 fantasy Practical Magic. Akiva Goldsman will return to write the script. Alice Hoffman, who wrote the original novel in 1995, also published a sequel called The Book Of Magic in 2021.

Based on the 1995 novel by Hoffman, Practical Magic put a slightly different spin in the romantic drama. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman play witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, whose family has been plagued for generations by a curse that kills any man they fall in love with. They have to use their magic to destroy the spirit of Gillian’s abusive boyfriend.

The film also starred Goran Visnjic, Stockard Channing, Dianne Wiest and Aidan Quinn.

Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan brought Timeless to NBC in October 2016, capturing a small but passionate fanbase with its unique and intriguing storyline. The show followed thrilling time-travel adventures but, unfortunately, faced a short-lived journey itself.

During a recent interview with People, Di Novi assured that Practical Magic 2 would honor the legacy and themes of the original movie, while delivering something different for fans to enjoy. It's been 25 years since Practical Magic was released, and it's become one of those quirky movies that slowly solidify their place in the hearts of many families. Like a cross between Hocus Pocus and The Gilmore Girls, the film blended supernatural fantasy with light-hearted comedy and romance, fronted by a truly winning cast Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Evan Rachel Wood, Stockard Channing, Alexandra Artrip, Aidan Quinn, and more. Now, Bullock, Kidman, and original producer Denise Di Nova are back and teasing the upcoming sequel. Di Nova, celebrating her first gallery show as a painter, spoke with MovieWeb about the Practical Magic sequel.

"I think we know what people love about the movie," explained Di Nova, "but thankfully, the fans are very expressive. If you looked at TikTok after the announcement, you'd know. I think we've had a lot of time to think about why that movie is still so resonant for people.

A sequel to the 1998 romantic fantasy film Practical Magic is currently in the works at Warner Bros. While very little plot information was released when the follow-up was announced, producer Denise Di Novi says that the movie will remain rooted in the source material.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Di Novi revealed that the plot will draw heavily from Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel, The Book of Magic. "I think [fans are] going to be very pleased. We're going to be very faithful. We're cognizant to how important those characters and that movie are to so many people," Di Novi explained. "We're not going to reinvent the wheel. We're going to draw from Alice Hoffman's books, as the first movie did, and we're going to be true to the chronology of how many years later it is."
