Miklós Vásárhelyi was born on 9 October 1917 in Fiume, Hungary, Austria-Hungary [now Rijeka, Croatia]. He was a writer, known for The Heiresses (1980), Hungarian Requiem (1990) and Viadukt (1983). He died on 31 July 2001 in Budapest, Hungary.
