Without Art's counsel and guidance, in 1957, I would not have been admitted to Graduate School at UCLA...He led me first to the M.A. in Theater Arts, and next to the School of Education for my PhD.
Art made major, career-long contributions that helped move the Theater Arts Department from the WWII tar paper barracks that I attended, 1957-59, into the state of the art theaters and studios of the Melnitz complex.
