Appeared in a video for Alicia Bridges' "I Love the Nightlife" as his character from Adventures of _Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, The (1994). Also appeared (with Bryan Brown) in Jenny Morris's "Downtime" music video playing (in Hugo's words) "a pervert sitting on my own in the corner".

Has performed on-stage with the Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Belvoir St. Theatre in Sydney, State Theatre Company of South Austrlia, Burning House Theatre Company the Nimrod Theatre Company and at Sydney Opera House.

(2000, August - September) Played the Duke of Brachiano in Webster's "The White Devil" - Theatre Royal, Sydney, Australia.
