Shgun, FX's acclaimed historical drama, has swept the Emmys by force with 18 wins out of more than 20 nominations. The series won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Frederick E.O. Toye), Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Anna Sawai), and Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Hiroyuki Sanada), in addition to their 14 Creative Arts Emmy wins, which you can see in full below:

The second night of the Creative Arts Emmys commenced Sunday night. The FX series Shōgun would prove to be the awards darling of the night by taking home an incredible number of awards for categories that include Guest Actor, Costumes, Makeup, Hairstyling, Stunts, Production Design, Visual Effects and more. The historical drama snagged a total of 14 Emmys over the course of both nights and leads in wins.

Another popular FX series, The Bear, would have its own run of wins as the intense cooking show took home statues for casting, picture editing, sound mixing and guest stars Jon Bernthal, as well as Jamie Lee Curtis, who also served as the opening emcee for the ceremony, which was held at the Peacock Theater. The Bear has not been able to catch up to Shōgun, but the show has, so far, collected seven wins, which is just one more than the leader for Night 1, Saturday Night Live.

Shōgun continued its historic gold rush on night 2 of the Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday, with multiple wins for Guest Actor, Costumes, Makeup, Hairstyling, Stunts, Production Design, Visual Effects and more.

The second night of the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys has crowned its winners.

The annual two-day event, which takes place the weekend before the Primetime Emmys, saw 99 TV awards handed out to mostly below-the-line categories, as well as recognition for guest actor and actress roles. Awards announced on Sunday included honors for comedy, drama and limited series, after Saturday was largely devoted to variety, nonfiction and reality. Cory Monteith, whose body was found in a Vancouver hotel room over the weekend, died of a "mixed drug toxicity" of heroin and alcohol, authorities say. "At this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident," the BC Coroners Service says in a statement released Tuesday. Police spokesman Constable Brian Montague said, "There was evidence in the room that was consistent with a drug overdose." He did not reveal what that evidence was, but that it was believed Monteith was alone when he died. The actor had been out earlier with three other people.

Deceased "Glee" actor Cory Monteith is being mourned by a Vancouver-based theatre program that gives creative opportunities to kids in the city's poorest neighbourhood.

Project Limelight founders Maureen Webb and Donalda Weaver issued a statement Sunday saying they are "deeply saddened" after the actor was found dead in Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel on Saturday.

Monteith, whom Webb encouraged to take acting classes when he was 19 and living in Nanaimo, used his role as an ambassador for Virgin Unite, the non-profit wing of Richard Branson's corporation, to get a $26,550 grant for the project, The Globe and Mail reported.

Monteith had dinner with Webb just days before he was found dead, Global News reported.

"I really think kids need a place to go and feel like they belong," Monteith said in a promotional video for the program.
