Set on a futuristic version of Earth, Hypergalactic revolves around a spirited teenage girl and her baby brother, who are forced to survive alone after their parents go missing.

On Tuesday, Walt Disney Studios released the second official trailer for the upcoming musical fantasy romantic comedy film “Disenchanted,” which serves as a direct sequel to the 2007 film “Enchanted.”

The sequel’s synopsis reads as follows:

“Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan move from Manhattan to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe, who has nefarious intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle uses the magic wand to wish that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. President Joe Biden responded Tuesday night to the mounting allegations and ridicule against his son, Hunter Biden, for his drug-addict past, tax crimes and for allegedly making a false statement while purchasing a gun.

Sitting with Jake Tapper in the journalist’s first evening hosting of “CNN Tonight,” the president said that Hunter Biden has “overcome” his past and that “what he says and does are consistent with what happens.”

Craig Miller will receive the WGA West’s 2020 Animation Writers Caucus Animation Writing Award in recognition of his distinguished career and contributions to the animation field. The award will be presented by his longtime collaborator, comic book writer Marv Wolman, at the Caucus’ virtual awards ceremony on Tuesday.

Miller, who chairs the Caucus, has more than 300 credits to his name, including The Smurfs, Curious George, and Pocket Dragon Adventures.

“In his long distinguished career, Craig has been a tireless advocate for the writers of animation, working diligently to get writers like himself covered under a WGA contract,” the guild said. “The WGA West board of directors is proud and honored to give him this well-deserved award.”

Warner Bros. is developing a modernized version of the German Shepherd Rin Tin Tin, who appeared as a heroic dog in more than two dozen films for the studio in the 1920s.

It looks like Netflix is going to be the studio that finally brings us a remake of the classic 1950 Jimmy Stewart film Harvey.

Hollywood has been trying to get this film off the ground for years. At one point nine years ago, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks were supposed to develop it. But for one reason or another, it never happened.

Harvey tells the story of an amiable eccentric, Elwood P. Dowd, and his friendship with a six and a half foot tall invisible rabbit and how this affects every member of his family and his community. It’s such a fun concept and I really liked the original film. I guess it was only a matter of time before this movie got remade.

Gfm also investing in big-budget projects.

Gfm Films will launch sales at the American Film Market on two news titles - $30m budget animated film The Monkey Prince and $32m live action superhero film Knights Of The Zodiac: Saint Seiya.

Through its sister company Gfm Animation, Gfm is also investing in Monkey Prince, which is in production with Toei Animation Co, Sammy Corporation, Marza Animation Planet and UK financier White & Co.

China’s Bona Film and Japan’s Toei Animation have teamed to develop and co-produce big-budget English-language animation feature, “The Monkey Prince.” The film, which has already been in early preparation since 2015 is pitched as “a Chinese legend, mixed with Hollywood story-telling, and Japanese animation.”

John A Davis will direct from a script by David Stem and David N. Weiss, as an adaptation on the oft-told “Monkey King” story. Co-creator isNaoto Oshima (“Jimmy Neutron”) and Craig Elliot as head of design. Production is by Chuck Williams.

The picture also involves Japanese production company Sola Entertainment, Sammy and Marza Animation, Taiwan-based A Really Good Film Company, which is a run by Bona executive VP Jeffrey Chan and is an affiliate of Bona. Details of the project were announced Wednesday at Tiffcom, on the margins of the Tokyo International Film Festival.

Other financiers may be brought in to compete the $30 million budget.

Amy Adams during an appearance today on The Talk gave a brief update on the status of Disenchanted, Disney’s long-in-the-works sequel to its Adams-starring 2007 hit about Giselle, the singing animated Disney princess who crosses over into the real world.

“I am absolutely up for that,” Adams said when asked by co-host Sara Gilbert about reprising her role in a sequel. “We’re working on it — so hopefully.”

There has been no recent movement on the project at Disney — the sequel is currently in development with Adam Shankman attached to direct. But Enchanted 2 was in the works as far back as 2014, when Anne Fletcher was aboard to helm a script written by J. David Stem and David N. Weiss from an earlier draft by Jessie Nelson. Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld are back as producers.

2007’s Enchanted was a critical and box-office hit, so it’s surprising that additional chapters in the fairy tale haven’t been churned out, especially since “happily ever after” isn’t a hard and fast rule anymore. Nearly nine years after it first hit theaters, Disney's follow-up to Enchanted, titled Disenchaned, has finally found its director. A new report suggests that Disney Pictures is moving forward again on an "Enchanted" sequel and even has a new title for it - "Disenchanted".

Collider broke the news, saying that's the working title for the film which is now "in the process of punching up the script with the hopes that it will be in greenlight-ready shape very soon."

It has been eight years since the first film and the studio has been trying to get a follow-up going for a good portion of that period.

At last report J. David Stem and David N. Weiss ("Shrek 2," "The Smurfs") had signed on to write the screenplay and Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal") remains attached to direct. No word if Amy Adams, James Marsden or Susan Sarandon would return.

Paramount Pictures is moving forward with their plans for a third G.I. Joe movie, and they've hired Jonathan Lemkin to write the script. According to Variety, the story will focus on Dwayne Johnson's character, Roadblock, who was introduced in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Lemkin has previously worked on films such as Shooter with Mark Wahlberg, Devil's Advocate with Keanu Reeves, and Lethal Weapon 4. The studio is hoping to get the sequel into production in 2015 for a 2016 release. As big of a fan I am of the G.I. Joe franchise, the live-action movies that have been made sure have been a big letdown. This is one franchise I wouldn't mind seeing rebooted.

There currently isn’t any word on whether any or all of the original stars—Amy Adams, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and Susan Sarandon, among others—will return, or what exactly the plot details will be.

It's been four years since we heard about Disney developing a sequel to their fairytale comedy Enchanted starring Oscar nominee Amy Adams. And it's been even longer since the 2007 film hit theaters, but that's not stopping Disney from keeping their hopes for Enchanted 2 high as Deadline reports a pair of writers have been hired to script the film. David N. Weiss & J. David Stem are set to script the film, and with films like Are We There Yet?, Daddy Day Camp and The Smurfs in their past, that doesn't inspire much confidence. But there's a glimmer of hope as the duo also scripted Shrek 2, which is a solid sequel. Read on! It's not clear who will all be returning from the first film, but one would hope that Amy Adams is a high priority, and there probably shouldn't be a sequel without her unless it focuses on another princess.
