    • John Welsh was born on November 7, 1914 in Wexford, Ireland. He was an actor, known for Krull (1983), To Serve Them All My Days (1980) and Tales from Soho (1956). He died on April 21, 1985 in Richmond, London, England, UK.

  • Tall, latterly balding character actor with stage experience in both Ireland and England. Spent five seasons with the Gate Theatre in Dublin in the mid-1940's. In England from 1950, including a spell with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Small roles in film, usually as well-bred authority figures, judges or professors. Enjoyed more substantial roles on the small screen, particularly in miniseries, such as The Forsyte Saga (1967).
  • Was a possible for the cameo role of Sezom in The Horns of Nimon: Part Four (1980). John Bailey was cast.
