The California wildfires have done a lot of damage. They have destroyed homes on a level that was previously unprecedented, and displaced thousands of families. It has been a trying time for the city of Los Angeles and its inhabitants.
The fires have also impacted the entertainment industry. Award shows and concerts have been delayed or outright canceled. And networks have decided to pull shows dealing with fire from its weekly lineups out of respect. Tracy Spiridakos may not have been on Chicago Fire, but her history with the One Chicago universe make her willingness to spread the word about the fires worth noting.

Chicago Fire has been lauded for its authenticity when it comes to firefighting. In comparison to other shows like, say, Fire Country, the NBC staple has made a point of trying to get things as accurate and realistic as possible.
We did not expect, however, to see a former Chicago Fire cast member actually stop a fire threat in real life. Brian J. White, who previously played Dallas Patterson on the firefighting drama, was one a handful of Los Angeles citizens who took down a suspected arsonist last week.

The Rookie season 7 got off to a semi-decent start during its premiere, but luckily its second episode shows improvement, suggesting it will only get better as time passes. Alexi Hawley's police procedural drama has come a long way since its first season. Whereas Nathan Fillion's John Nolan was one of the first-year police officers at the show's beginning, he is now one of the training officers teaching new rookies. However, even as a To, Nolan is still very much learning.
The Rookie follows John Nolan, a small-town man who embarks on a new career as an LAPD officer after a life-changing event. As the force's oldest rookie, Nolan faces skepticism from superiors who view his pursuit as a midlife crisis.

Actor Brian J. White became an ordinary person in extraordinary circumstances Thursday when he, along with several of his neighbors, apprehended an arson suspect with a blowtorch in Woodland Hills, making a citizen arrest until the police got there. He shared the harrowing experience with Deadline, spoke how the police work and fight training for roles helped him in the ordeal and what the reaction has been from his colleagues, including the cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution where he is recurring, to seeing him in a viral cell video of the incident shot by White’s wife, Paula Da Silva, and their next-door neighbor.
Like others in the path of the Kenneth Fire, which broke out in the neighboring West Hills Thursday afternoon, the Whites got the emergency alert to get ready to potentially evacuate. By then, they had started to see the blaze from their house, “so we were...

Jason Statham is no stranger to working with some seriously talented people, but perhaps the most impressive cast he's ever featured in bizarrely came in his worst-ever movie. With a track record in action franchises like The Fast and the Furious and The Expendables, Statham has arguably forged his reputation by augmenting ensembles. And yet, while these movies have become some of Statham's best-known releases, one oft-forgotten film still reigns supreme as the pinnacle of Jason Statham's screen collaborations.
It speaks to Statham's strengths as a performer that he is capable of shining both as a solo lead and a supporting player in a sprawling cast. Even his early career before he became an action superstar was defined by performances in projects like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch: both movies that rely on extensive personnel and surprise cameos to succeed. Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 (also known as Criminal Minds season 17) has taken fans on a wild journey as TV’s favorite profilers try to figure out and eradicate the threat of “Gold Star.”
Throughout most of season two, the storyline focused on the characters Jade (Liana Liberato) and Damien (David Garelik) as they attempted to seek revenge on those who had abused them and were connected to Stuart House. This group included Jill Gideon (Felicity Huffman), the wife of Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), who Damien abducted in episode eight before he surrendered and signaled for Jade to kill him so he wouldn’t be locked up again.

(Spoiler alert: This story contains minor spoilers from the Season 1 finale of Amazon Prime Video’s “Luxe Listings Sydney.” If you do not want to know how the season ends, stop reading now.)
Gavin Rubinstein, the breakout star of Amazon Prime Video’s “Luxe Listings Sydney,” may be small in stature — but definitely not in status. Also “very, very large” (as he put it) is the Australian real estate agent’s “risk appetite,” which is on display for the duration of Season 1.
Rubinstein lives by the mantra “It takes money to make money” more than most. While in Sydney the owner of a property pays for the marketing of their home, Rubinstein told TheWrap he’s “invested millions of dollars over the course of my career into marketing myself.”
Dude only turns 30 midway through Season 1 — and that career is a mere seven years old.

Nova claimed Aunt Vi was one of the strongest women she's ever known, but it looked like she was actively trying to test Vi's limits with this novel.
Nova: I never meant for things to come to this.
Hollywood: Yeah, you never do.
Permalink: Yeah, you never do. Added: June 25, 2019
Thank goodness Vi has Hollywood there to stand by her through this.
Because it's clear that Jimmy Dale didn't drive all the way to St. Josephine to check out Violet's new diner, say hello, and make amends.

We are only one day from the premiere the most anticipated new series of the summer, the Jamey Giddens-penned Ambitions. Brely Evans stars as Rondell Lancaster, the sister of Atlanta Mayor Evan Lancaster (Brian J. White) and manager of the Thelma's Place restaurant. As the new face of an anti-gentrification campaign, she never thought would become a crusader for the people, but it's a badge she wears with pride – and nobody is removing it.
Check out what Evans had to say when We Love Soaps traveled to the set in Atlanta back in April.
We Love Soaps: What was your first reaction when you read the script for Ambitions?
Brely Evans: When I read the audition sides I thought to myself, “I know her,” because she’s me. She’s outspoken and not afraid to have an opinion. She really doesn’t give a f*** if someone has something opposing to say.

Our final look at the faces who are going to set Own on fire with the new soap, Ambitions, features Essence Atkins who plays Amara Hughes, and Kendrick Cross, who plays her husband, Titus.
Amara and Titus are both attorneys in the thick of it with competing couple Stephanie Carlisle (Robin Givens) and her husband, Evan Lancaster (Brian White). As a rising Us Attorney, Amara vows to fight the corruption of the Mayor's office, while Titus is embroiled in scandal as a result of working at the Carlisle's prestigious law firm.
While they were all in college together, Stephanie lost her on-again/off-again love, Titus, to Amara, and the events leave them still reeling decades later. Find out all about Amara and Titus' life together and more directly from Essence and Kendrick.
And prepare to get blown away by the profound way Essence views, well, everything. Enjoy!

When Ambitions premieres on Own Tuesday, June 18, you'll get to meet Robin Givens' Stephanie Carlisle, a successful corporate attorney, and her husband, Brian White's Atlanta Mayor Evan Lancaster.
Their characters are one of the core couples on the show and provide a lot of drama against the competing couple, Amara and Titus Hughes. I'll have an interview with Essence Atkins and Kendrick Cross tomorrow!
All of the characters are interwoven in such a way that their lives not only brush up against each other, but their ultimate fate may be in the hands of someone they don't expect. Enjoy the latest interview from the Ambitions set visit!
Robin was doing Riverdale and The Fix at the same time when she received the script for Ambitions. "On Riverdale, I had lived with that character for some time, and I really got her. But The Fix was a pretty tough character for me,...

Ambitions is the new Own series that will satisfy your longing for all the escapist fun, debauchery, and bitchery you want from your primetime soaps.
Created by Jamey Giddens (The Rich and the Ruthless) and backed by Will Packer Productions, Ambitions focuses on four families from distinct backgrounds in Atlanta and features a richly diverse cast that is still too rare on television.
During a recent set visit, we spoke with Brely Evans and Erica Page who both play bold, outspoken women on Ambitions who know what they want and aren't afraid to fight for it.
