In 1961 Bernard wrote and directed plays at the Long Beach Playhouse in
Long Beach Calofirnia. His most popular plays were "Aurelius" and
"Reynard" presented in 1962. In 1967 he began producing classroom films
for Film Associates of California in Santa Monica.He wrote and directed
a series of films on the Bill of rights and also a popular music series
featuring music from various countries such as Japan and India.
