Joshua Jackson to Star in ABC Drama Doctor Odyssey From Ryan Murphy

Joshua Jackson is scrubbing back in for his next TV role: The Dr. Death alum will star in the ABC drama Doctor Odyssey, co-created by Ryan Murphy, the network announced on Wednesday.

No plot or character details have been officially released yet, but our sister site Deadline reports that Doctor Odyssey — which has received a straight-to-series order from ABC and is slated to debut this fall — is a medical drama set aboard a cruise ship, with Jackson playing the title character “whose charms help him get what he wants.” (Jackson will serve as an executive producer as well.)

‘WWE Legends of Mid South Wrestling’ Blu-ray Review
WWE has access to a vast library of professional wrestling’s past, with promotions like Awa, Stampede, Ecw, WCW and many more. This release is the WWE’s delving into the history of Mid South Wrestling, a territorial promotion based in Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Mid South is often referred to by old time fans and performers as one of the most influential leagues in wrestling’s history. Promoted by Bill Watts through the end of the 70’s and the first half of the 80’s, Mid South featured names like Ted Dibiase, The Junkyard Dog, Andre the Giant, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Magnum Ta and “Dr Death” Steve Williams. Where as other wrestling promotions had slow and traditional in-ring work or cartoon style performances, Mid South featured a more realistic and exciting style of wrestling that featured characters that appeared more believable.

Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams died of throat cancer today. According to thewrestlingdaily.com and Examiner, pro wrestler Steven Williams died of throat cancer today. He was only 49 years old. He went by the stage name, "Dr. Death." Steve started wrestling in 1979,and won numerous titles in Japan. He competed for Mid-South Wrestling , the National Wrestling Alliance ,and World Championship Wrestling. He also had brief runs for the World Wrestling Federation and Extreme Championship Wrestling.
