Welcome to the latest installment in our regular Movies You May Have Missed series here on Nerdly, in which I highlight some of, what I think, are the best movies that have flown under the radar of many or have been “forgotten” in the intervening years since its release. Directed by Matthias Olof Eich, this brutal game of sadistic cat-and-mouse between the sexes has been described as a return to the slasher movie extremes and I can see why. With a complete disdain for its female cast, Break is a real throwback to a time when slasher movies were all about women getting naked and getting sliced and diced…...

In Germany even a game of cat and mouse between the sexes can go bad ... really bad ... in a hurry. When this happens, it thankfully does so in the most graphic ways possible. Case in point...

Matthias Olof Eich's brutal German thriller 'Break' is finally set for a DVD release here in the UK. The sadistic backwoods slasher story of Canadian redneck hunters will hit DVD on these shores from 16 April thanks to Trinity X. The Praetoria Productions and I-Catcher Media co-production which did the festival rounds back in 2009 and which was also penned by director Eich stars Lili Schackert, Esther Maass, Ralph Willmann, Marina Anna Eich, Thelma Buabeng, Sebastian Badenberg, Patrick Jahns and Meelah Adams.
