Jodie Brooke Wilson
Jodie Brooke Wilson is a singer who can also write her own songs. Her new album, 'Angelic' is a delightful collection of enchanting and uplifting self-penned tracks.

Now resident in Britain for many years but born and raised in Australia, Jodie has already achieved significant worldwide success as a prolific songwriter. She has had international Number One hits and written with some of the best songwriters in the world.

Top American producers Ric Wake and David Foster, both of whom have worked with the foremost modern-day divas, including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez, have praised Jodie's vocal qualities and singled her out as a major talent.

Jodie's debut album 'Halfway to Paradise'(Decca) was featured as 'Album of the Week' on many major, national UK radio stations. Internationally, the album remained at No 1 in the chart for over a month in the Far East.

She has played in concert at the Royal Albert Hall, guesting for Michael McDonald on the UK performances of his world tour.

In Europe, she also enjoyed success as a writer with her song 'I Want What She's Got', which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in January 2002.

In Australia, Jodie was co-writer of 'Higher Than Heaven', which became a No. 1, double platinum album for girl band 'Bardot'. The song was also used as the theme for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

She sang her own composition 'Show Me Now' on the sound track of the international blockbuster movie 'Scary Movie'. Also 'Higher Than Heaven' appeared on soundtrack for the Rugrats movie.

She has written tracks for Hear'Say, the B side to No.1 single 'The Way To Your Love' and also for Louise, 'Love Will Bring You Back', on her platinum selling album.

Jodie has written with internationally renowned songwriters including Don Black; Cathy Dennis (Kylie - 'Can't Get You Out of My Head'); Mark Mueller (Crush); John Bettis (who wrote many of the hit songs for The Carpenters); Pam Sheyne, Steve Kipner, David Frank ('Genie In A Bottle') and Tia Sillers (Grammy Award winner for 'Song of The Year'), to name some of them.

Born in Sydney, her family relocated to the UK when Jodie was in her early teens so that she and her sister could study drama. Her mother was the star of a long-running hit TV series but despite her theatrical background, she certainly wasn't a pushy stage-mum.
