Elizabeth Berkley in Showgirls (1995)
Whatever happened to Elizabeth Berkley? 8 things she did after Showgirls and Saved by the Bell
Elizabeth Berkley in Showgirls (1995)
Elizabeth Berkley was all set to make Hollywood waves after achieving teen cult status as 17-year-old Jessie Spano, grappling with amphetamines caffeine pill addiction in Saved by the Bell.

Yet a swimming pool splash-about with Kyle MacLachlan in Robocop director Paul Verhoeven's 1995 skin flick Showgirls - the Us's first and only big-budget Nc-17 - unfortunately torpedoed her career before it began.

But as Showgirls celebrates its 20th anniversary this week, having been reappraised and reborn as a midnight movie regular, a musical masterpiece (tagline: "Singing. Dancing. Tits") and a classic exploitation film of our time (not our words, but Jim Jarmusch's), we look at what happened to the actress best known as Nomi Malone.

1. She won two Razzies

Worse than being on the end of a critical and commercial panning was Berkley's personal haul of Golden Raspberry awards for Showgirls, one for Worst Actress and Worst New Star...

Porky's (1981)
Wilson's Bartending Job Leads To Hollywood Return
Porky's (1981)
Porky's actor-turned-bartender Roger Wilson has gotten a career boost after nearly giving up on the movies - restaurant bosses sent him back to Hollywood after discovering they hired a celebrity.

The star has struggled to land another role in a film equally as successful as his 1980s flicks and recently began serving up drinks at Chinese restaurant Philippe East Hampton.

Restaurant owners were stunned when patrons began to recognise the star, and decided to promote him to a position at their Los Angeles branch, where he'll mingle with more A-listers.

Owner Stratis Morfogen tells the New York Post, "The story I heard was, he was a struggling musician trying to make it. But then every A-list patron who walked in the door knew him... we spoke in detail about his past - amazing guy and amazing story. Now I've decided to bump Roger up to manager in our new Philippe location in Los Angeles opening this September. He is so happy to go back to Hollywood... I knew none of this."...

Ex-actor Starring Behind Bar
Roger Wilson, who disappeared after starring in the first two "Porky's" movies and dating Christy Turlington for six years, has reappeared in a surprising new role -- as the bartender at Chinese restaurant Philippe East Hampton. Wilson, who once lived in a duplex in the Hotel des Artistes on West 67th Street, "has apparently gone through his trust fund and now has to work for a living," said one source.

The handsome actor, who had his initials tattooed on Turlington's ankle, also dated "Showgirls" star Elizabeth Berkley. He unsuccessfully sued...

Writing pair set for 'Porky's' redo
Craig Moss and Steve Schoenberg have been hired to write the remake of 1982's Porky's, which Howard Stern is executive producing along with Larry Levinson. Dan Gross and Steve Squillante are producing. Porky's, released in 1982, starred Dan Monahan, Mark Herrier, Wyatt Knight, Roger Wilson and then-newcomer Kim Cattrall. The film, which followed a group of high school boys on their mostly sexual misadventures, was a risque release for its time and a big hit at the boxoffice. Porky's cost $4 million to make but brought in more than $105 million and spawned two sequels, Porky's II: The Next Day and Porky's Revenge.
