Brinkley Wants Cook Fined For Allegedly Abusive Emails
Model Christie Brinkley wants a New York judge to fine her ex-husband Peter Cook $140,000 (£87,500) for allegedly harassing her via email.
The former couple has been locked in a bitter legal battle since splitting in 2008 after 12 years of marriage, and the court fight turned so ugly in 2009, the judge overseeing the case ordered Cook be fined $5,000 (£3,125) each time he overstepped the line.
Now Brinkley has accused Cook of violating the order 28 times by sending her abusive emails and she's asking the judge to penalise her ex, reports the New York Daily News.
But her lawyer, Tom Campagna, is adamant Brinkley is not after Cook's cash, saying, "This is not about the money. This is about what we're calling bullying."
Meanwhile, Cook, who was caught cheating on Brinkley during their marriage, insists the model is equally to blame for harassment - and he's seeking the same punishment against her for more than $200,000 (£125,000), according to his attorney James Winkler.
Brinkley also recently filed a request for an additional $32,000 (£20,000) from Cook for educational costs for their two children, son Jack, 16, and daughter Sailor, 13 - a motion the businessman is disputing.

Christie Brinkley's ex-husband Peter Cook has finally spoken out since the couple's bitter divorce – and while he owns up to having made a mistake, he maintains he had reasons for his behavior. “It was my failing,” he admitted to Barbara Walters in an interview with 20/20 that aired Friday. “I was a great father, a great husband, and I failed as a human being… I made a mistake.” But Cook maintained that he had reasons for his behavior: “I was seeking a connection I could not find in my own marriage,” he said of his relationship with then-teenager Diana Bianchi.

Christie Brinkley's lawyer is talking to "The Insider" about her ex-husband Peter Cook's appearance on Friday night's episode of ABC newsmagazine "20/20." In the "20/20" interview, Cook seems to seek to redeem himself in the public eye after a very public divorce with Brinkley that revealed that he had used pornography and had an affair with a teenage woman. He tells Barbara Walters in the interview, "My hope is that the world will see that I'm not the scum bag pervert that I've been painted to be. The misinformation that came out during the trial is the elephant in the room. It's the elephant in the room for my kids. And I'm hoping maybe if I can correct some of the wrongs." On behalf of Brinkley, lawyer Robert Stephan Cohen, released the following statement: "Christie Brinkley initially sought to settle this matter privately. The state of NY is an open court system.

Brinkley Fails In Restraining Order Bid
Latest: Christie Brinkley's bid to secure a restraining order against her ex-husband has failed.
The model filed paperwork on Wednesday, seeking to bar Peter Cook from seeing the couple's two children. The documents landed just two days before Cook was scheduled to appear on U.S. news show 20/20, where he discusses the former couple's break-up and messy public divorce battle.
On Thursday, a Long Island, New York judge ruled that Cook can maintain access to Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10.
Cook's attorney James Winkler says, "The judge denied her (Brinkley) request to suspend visitation. Mr. Cook did agree to take the children out of the area on a little trip this weekend and that he would not expose the children to that interview, which he had no intention of doing anyway."
But Brinkley's lawyer Robert Stephan Cohen reveals the kids are not permitted to watch their dad appear on the show, 20/20, on Friday.
A statement from Cohen reads, "The court order mandates that since Peter Cook has the children this weekend, his parenting has to be away from his home and he can't expose them to the 20/20 broadcast. Christie Brinkley's sole concern is to protect her children."...

A Long Island judge has denied Christie Brinkley's request for a temporary restraining order barring ex-husband Peter Cook from seeing their children this weekend in the wake of his revealing 20/20 interview set to air Friday. Lawyers for both sides were in court Wednesday to discuss the temporary restraining order. On Thursday, Brinkley's lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, issued the following statement on the judge's ruling: "The court order mandates that since Peter Cook has the children this weekend, his parenting has to be away from his home and he can't expose them to the 20/20 broadcast.
