Fox Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for their upcoming thriller My Cousin Rachel, which stars Rachel Weisz as the title character and Sam Claflin as Philip Ashley. This film will mark the third time that the timeless original novel by Daphne Du Maurier will be adapted, with the first big-screen adaptation debuting in 1952, starring Olivia de Havilland as Rachel Ashley and Richard Burton as Philip Ashley. The novel was then adapted into a 1983 mini-series starring Geraldine Chaplin and Christopher Guard as Rachel and Philip.

My Cousin Rachel is a dark romance that tells the story of a young Englishman who plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms. Tony Awards 2011: We predict the winners
Jeremy Irvine in War Horse (2011)
Here’s the easiest prediction we can make about this year’s Tony Awards, which will be presented June 12 at NYC’s Beacon Theatre: Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark will be a recurring punchline for returning host Neil Patrick Harris. The CBS broadcast will also manage to include a number from this still-to-officially-open show, featuring composers Bono and the Edge as well as on-stage Spidey Reeve Carney. Predicting the actual awards isn’t nearly as easy. But in a lot of the major categories, there seem to be some very strong front-runners. Expect The Book of Mormon (pictured left, top...

How would you celebrate a Tony nomination? Whoopi Goldberg, who’s up for Best Musical as part of the team behind Sister Act, told EW she “worked like a dog and then did Jimmy Kimmel and The Joy Behar Show.” First-time Best Featured Actor in a Musical nominee Rory O’Malley of The Book of Mormon partied in the stairwell with costars and fellow nominees Andrew Rannells (pictured) and Josh Gad, while The Motherf—er with the Hat playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis ate pork and met Darryl Strawberry.

Gold Derby rounded up predictions for the nominations in the top eight Tonys races from a dozen awards gurus. There was a four-way tie for first as Thom Geier (Entertainment Weekly), Brian Lipton (TheaterMania.com), Michael Musto (Village Voice), and David Sheward (Back Stage) all got 29 of 33 correct. Right behind with 28 were Tom O'Neil (Gold Derby, TheEnvelope/LATimes.com) and Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby) followed by Melissa Bernardo (Entertainment Weekly), Andy Humm (Gay City News, Gay USA) and Wayman Wong (New York Daily News) with 27 and Martin Denton (NYTheatre.com) Blake Ross (Playbill) and Matt Windman (amNewYork) at 26. Special mention must be made of Matt Windman being the only pundit to predict a Best Musical Actor nod for Joshua Henry ("The Scottsboro Boys"). As well, Melissa Bernardo and Michael Musto were the only two to foresee a Best Play Actress bid by Hannah Yelland ("Brief Encounter"). And Blake Ross, David Sheward and Wayman Wong wer.

Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Stiller Left Out Of Tony Nominations
New York, New York (X17online) - This year's Tony Award nominations are out, and Daniel Radcliffe, Robin Williams, James Earl Jones and Ben Stiller are absent from them. Musical The Book of Mormon swept the nominations with 14. Actors including Al Pacino, Vannessa Redgrave, Edie Falco and Frances McDormand all scored nominations, while Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Stiller and Robin Williams did not. Radcliffe won rave reviews for his performance in the revival of the Tony-winning play How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The production itself was nominated eight times this year. The Book of Mormon, written by the creators of South Park, won at the box office despite its lack of big-name actors in the cast. Williams, had he won a Tony, would have been the eleventh actor ever to win a Grammy, Tony, Emmy and Oscar. Alas, he was not nominated. Stiller was starring in The House of Blue Leaves.
