Nxt’s Cora Jade crosses the line as she competes against Hyan in the iMPACT! Zone. Jade is in control following a running dropkick on the ropes. Hyan gains the momentary advantage with a leg drop but Jade quickly turns the tide. Jade hits a running knee in the corner, followed by Jaded to score the dominant victory. After the match, Jade continues the assault on Hyan until Xia Brookside comes to her aid. Brookside is checking on Hyan when Jade attacks her from behind. As promised, Moose unveils the new X-Division Championship belt. The bell rings and Austin immediately goes on the attack with a running dropkick. The fight spills to the outside where Moose whips him into the barricade. Jdc provides a distraction, allowing Moose to hit a thudding Chokeslam into the apron. Austin just makes it back into the ring before the referee’s 10 count. Moose connects with Go To Hell but Austin stays alive. Austin fights back with a series of strikes, then counters another Go To Hell attempt.

Josh Alexander has become the Longest-Reigning Impact Wrestling World Champion of All-Time. He claimed the title on April 23rd 2022, at the Rebellion pay-per-view, defeating Moose. He has now been the World Champion for 257 consecutive days, surpassing Bobby Roode’s 256-day World Championship run that started on October 26th 2011.

With his history-making title reign, Josh Alexander has established himself as one of the best pro wrestlers of all-time. It also marks an amazing, improbable and unexpected journey – from overweight, troubled teenager to the pinnacle of the pro wrestling industry, focused on perfection and nothing less. He even endured a serious neck injury along the way that required two vertebrae be fused together. Alexander, 35, made his pro wrestling debut in 2005 and was signed by Impact in early-2019. Just as the bell is about to ring, Eric Young’s music hits and he joins his partners in Violent By Design. Doering and Deaner distract the referee, allowing Young to deliver an illegal shot to Alexander. Vbd target the surgically-repaired neck of Alexander as they cut off the ring and prevent him from making the tag. Alexander attempts to fight free but Doering shuts down his momentum with a running crossbody. Moments later, Alexander makes the tag to Sabin as the pace quickens. Shelley soars with top rope splash to Deaner. The Guns hit Deaner with a dropkick Flatliner combo for two.

Ridley Scott’s 2007 feature, American Gangster, let Denzel Washington lead a regime change in uptown mob movies. That heralded position had always been held by Bumpy Johnson, who steered the underworld through the real-life Harlem Renaissance, holding his own against the Irish and Jewish mobs, and enjoying a long relationship with New York’s Italian criminal outfit. Partnered with Harlem’s crime queen Stephanie St. Clair and her gang the 40 Thieves, Johnson made his bones in the turf war with Dutch Schultz from the Bronx in the 1920s and ‘30s. Lucky Luciano gave the order to take out Schultz and declare Bumpy a family associate. Bumpy played chess with the head of the Five Families for years in front of the Ymca on 135th Street.

Laurence Fishburne played “Bumpy Rhodes,” based on Bumpy Johnson, in Francis Ford Coppola’s 1984 gangster film, The Cotton Club, and reprised the role as Johnson in the 1997 film Hoodlum.

I love Tna. I love Jakks Pacific. I was so excited when Jakks announced that they acquired the license to make Tna action figures. I was so pumped. I loved what Jakks had done with the WWE license from the Ruthless Aggression figures, to the Deluxe figures, to the Classic Superstars line. Jakks gave us, without a doubt, the best years of wrestling figures when they had the WWE license. Since Jakks acquired the Tna line in 2010, we’ve gotten 10 sets of figures. Just ten! When Jakks had WWE we would get more than 10 sets a year!

It’s safe to say that I am disappointed with the Tna line of figures, in the amount that we get. I love the figures. I really do. I get excited every time they announce a new line-up. Unfortunately, that seems to be once every 6-8 months. I really wish Jakks would try...

This week, we had to get the fallout from Bobby Roode threatening the health of Dixie Carter after beating Sting at Victory Road. If only she’d used the ample time she had to get out of the ring to her advantage. And so Dixie joined us to open the show. Dixie made out like she was going to fire the champ, but Sting came out and claimed firing him was letting him off easy. Sting then said that his position as leader was just not working. So he said hes coming back as a wrestler to fight for Dixie and step down as General Manager. He did however promise that he had someone to take the company right to the top. Sting asked Dixie to let him give him the power to the Real Hulk Hogan. Dixie did her best to act conflicted. Later on in the show, in the main event slot,...
