This Dragon Ball Character Deserves to Beat Black Frieza
Image

Frieza has a long history with the Saiyans that dates back to before the earliest episodes of Dragon Ball, before Goku or Vegeta were even born. In fact, Frieza was the main reason Goku got sent to Earth to begin with: Bardock only sent his son away as a means to escape Frieza's destruction of Planet Vegeta. In that way, Frieza was the source of his own downfall on Namek in Dbz, because that same low-class Saiyan boy ended up becoming a Super Saiyan and defeating him.

As poetic as Frieza's original defeat by Goku was, there's still some unfinished business left between Frieza and Vegeta that should finally be settled in Dragon Ball Super. Unlike Goku, who was still too young to remember his family or his life as a Saiyan before he was sent to planet Earth, Vegeta was a different story.

Frieza's English Vo's Team Up To Take Over The Universe In Video Dragon Ball Fans Must See
Image
Two talented actors who've voiced Frieza, Daman Mills and Linda Young, recently teamed up to record a video in character. Frieza has had four different English voice actors since 1996, with the latest being brought on near Dragon Ball Super's end. Fans have not heard the last of Frieza, as more of Daman Mills' take on the character will likely be heard when Dragon Ball Super's anime returns.

Dragon Ball's Galactic Emperor Frieza has had several talented voice actors take on the iconic role, and two of his best recently teamed up in a video to take over the universe. The planet-destroying villain helped create one of the most fantastic arcs in all of Shnen and even returned from the dead to team up with Goku in one of Dragon Ball Super's best fights. But Frieza's voice has gone through more than a couple of iterations over the years.

Who Are the Oldest Mentors in Shonen Anime?
Image
Shnen has long been one of the most popular genres in anime, and for good reason. People love watching a character work hard and go from being undesirable to undeniable, and that's often the focus of shnen anime. No shnen protagonist goes very far, though, without a good mentor.

Mentors in shnen anime help the leads get to the next level and often provide much needed parental guidance that's otherwise missing at home. For that reason, a lot of mentors are often older characters. Some series take that to another level, though, making the mentor character much older than everyone else on the show. The older they are, though, the more they have to teach their proteges.

AniMania: My Bride Is A Mermaid
It would be a disgrace to all Seto Mermaids if you don’t read this review, because “Honor among thieves is honor under the Seas.” You will hear the main female lead, Sun Seto, say this signature line at least once per episode in Funimation’s new romantic comedy, My Bride Is A Mermaid.

The basic plot of the story is that Nagasumi (our hero) is saved from drowning by Sun Seto (the mermaid). However, Mermaid Law states that if a human sees a mermaid the mermaid (and/or the human) has to die. The solution to this problem is of course to have them get married!

Admittedly, from reading the plot summary, and just from the title of this series, one could assume that this was just another run of the mill harem show with a contrived plot that does not matter. While you would be right about it being a harem show,...
