NBC has announced a series of actors set to appear in the second season of its medical drama, “Brilliant Minds.” Porsha Williams, Molly Bernard, Connor Tomlinson and Laura Vandervoort will each guest star in one of the first three episodes of the new season of the Zachary Quinto-led series.

The first season of “Brilliant Minds” premiered on NBC on Sept. 23, 2024. The medical drama draws inspiration from books of case histories by writer and neurologist Oliver Sacks. Quinto stars in the series as Oliver Wolf, a neurologist at Bronx General Hospital. Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh Lathrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II and Teddy Sears also star.

Williams, who hails from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and will appear on the next season of “The Traitors,” is set to guest star in the season premiere of “Brilliant Minds.” Williams will portray Bitsy, a rich, gossiping housewife who visits the private practice of psychiatrist Dr.

“Brilliant Minds” has added four guest stars for its upcoming second season at NBC.

Variety has learned that Porsha Williams, Molly Bernard, Connor Tomlinson (“Love on the Spectrum”), and Laura Vandervoort have all joined the sophomore season of the medical drama.

Williams and Vandervoort will both appear in the first episode of Season 2, while Bernard will pop in for episode two and Tomlinson in episode three. Williams will play Bitsy, who is described as “an affluent Upper West Side housewife who sees Dr. Carol Pierce (Tamberla Perry) at her private practice. Al Calderon Exits ‘Days Of Our Lives’; Soap Plans To Recast Javi Hernandez Character

With Al Calderon being cast as a series regular on “Brilliant Minds,” it looks like “Days of our Lives” will indeed be recasting the role of Javi Hernandez.

Although a spokesperson for the daytime drama series told Soap Opera Network, “We do not comment on the contract status of our actors, but fans should not worry, ‘Javi’ is alive and well in Salem,” following news of Calderon joining the NBC primetime medical drama, Deadline reported on Wednesday that the soap opera is seeking to recast his role.

According to the outlet, Calderon has been busy taping new episodes of “Days of our Lives,” which are slated to air in May 2026.

Calderon first appeared in Salem in October 2024, though he began taping episodes at the soap opera in February 2024, a result of the soap’s advanced tape-to-air schedule.

Exclusive: Al Calderon has been busy at work shooting new episodes of Days of Our Lives as the character Javi Hernandez, which will air in May of next year. However, on the heels of his series regular casting in Season 2 of NBC’s Brilliant Minds, the role of Javi will be recast, sources tell Deadline.

“We do not comment on the contract status of our actors, but fans should not worry, Javi is alive and well in Salem,” representatives for Days of Our Lives shared in a statement.

Calderon joined the long-running NBC/Peacock sudser last February as Javi, a passionate and professional man who is larger than life at times, then sensitive at others. He’s the man you’d want to date or befriend, but not one you should aim to have as an enemy.

Shonda Rhimes has created and produced a slew of iconic shows over the years. Now, one of them is heading to Netflix.

In a post on X, the streaming service announced that Scandal is officially moving back to Netflix, and will be available on June 17. The political series aired between 2012 and 2018, and was previously available to stream on Hulu. The show stars Kerry Washington as a crisis manager who specializes in "fixing" political situations and scandals. The character was loosely based on Judy Smith, who served as George H. W. Bellamy Young’s New Podcast With Humanitarian Group Care Highlights How Foreign Aid Helps Create ‘Transformational Change’ (Exclusive)

Bellamy Young is launching a new podcast series.

The “Scandal” star has teamed up with humanitarian organization Care for the six-episode “She Leads With Care,” premiering March 11 to coincide with International Women’s Day.

The series features Young in conversation with women leaders from Honduras, Jordan, Nepal, Tanzania, Ukraine and Vietnam.

Young has been working with Care since 2018. “I have always been very moved by their impact and seeing firsthand what a difference just reaching out with a little support, not just financial, but interest and apparatus, structure, programs, how it can create lasting, transformational change,” Young tells me.

Adam Scott to Appear in Michigan as Part of Kamala Harris Reproductive Freedom Bus Tour

Adam Scott has a busy Monday planned in a battleground state.

The Severance star has booked back-to-back events in Michigan in support of the Democratic ticket of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the campaign confirmed. Per intel, he will appear in Ann Arbor as part of the Fighting for Reproductive Freedom Bus Tour during an event with the state’s Lieutenant Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II to address supporters and volunteers on the University of Michigan campus. Scott will then segue to headlining a student organizing event off-campus.

The bus tour, which kicked off in Palm Beach, Florida, on Sept. 3, has been cruising through key states like Michigan, where stops include Madison Heights, Flint, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Marquette. The Scandal cast is reuniting!

Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Guillermo Díaz, Bellamy Young, Katie Lowes, Dan Bucatinsky, Scott Foley, Portia de Rossi and George Newbern are set to appear all together for a Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign event in Michigan this weekend.

The event is the Fighting for Reproductive Freedom Bus Tour, and will feature hundreds of volunteers and supporters as the bus tour kicks off it’s tour of the country, THR reports.
