Aleksandr Zguridi was born on 23 February 1904 in Saratov, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was a director and writer, known for In the Sands of Central Asia (1943), Lesnaya byl (1949) and Zacharovannye ostrova (1965). He died on 16 September 1998 in Moscow, Russia.
