Breaking Baz: Chris Hemsworth & Sam Rockwell Bring Star Power To Support Stunt Artists In First ‘Stuntnuts’ Movie, Part Of New Matthew Vaughn Marv Films Franchise
Image
Exclusive: Chris Hemsworth (Thor & Extraction movies) and Sam Rockwell are “helping out” their stunt-world buddies in the first of an initial four-part movie series called Stuntnuts – yes, it’s a palindrome- which are being made under Matthew Vaughn’s Marv Films banner.

You may have spotted the Stuntnuts title being introduced in the trailer- directed by Vaughn- that Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg recently posted on his official Instagram page to promote Meta’s RayBan Smart Glasses.

It features Zuckerberg, initially seen with an arm ablaze, launching into a series of stunt set pieces with John Cena and Benson Boone choreographed to the tune of Junior Senior’s high energy pop classic Move Your Feet (And Feel United) .

Teaser ends with a befuddled Zuckerberg looking at his torched arm, exclaiming: “Hey, Meta, am I on fire?” You can watch it here:

Daniel Radcliffe Co-Hosts Podcast for Stunt Performers: ‘It’s Crazy’ Not to Give Them Oscars
Image
Daniel Radcliffe has launched a new podcast series titled “Cunning Stunts” alongside his longtime “Harry Potter” stunt double David Holmes. The podcast finds the two former collaborators interviewing notable stunt performers to break down some of cinema’s best action scenes. Holmes served as Radcliffe’s stunt double on all eight “Harry Potter” films until he was critically injured during production on the final entry in the series. Holmes broke his neck performing a stunt and was paralyzed from the chest down.

The “Cunning Stunts” podcast launched with an episode featuring Derek Lea, a stunt performer whose credits include James Bond films, “Titanic,” “Saving Private Ryan,” and more. Additional episodes are set to feature Tina Maskell & David Forman, Paul Lowe, Jo McLaren, Rocky Taylor, and the late Brian ‘Sonny’ Nickels. Radcliffe said in an interview with Deadline that he wanted to be part of the podcast to bring greater awareness to stunt work,...

Daniel Radcliffe And Injured ‘Harry Potter’ Stunt Double David Holmes On Their New Podcast And The Need For An Oscar For Stunt Performers – Interview
Image
When stunt performer David Holmes, who had doubled for Daniel Radcliffe on all eight of the Harry Potter movies, was seriously injured rehearsing a flying scene for the final chapter in 2009, his career as a stuntman came to a sudden end. Holmes broke his neck performing a jerk back stunt and was paralyzed from the chest down. He has spent the subsequent 11 years adjusting to life with limited mobility only in his arms and hands.

But his love for his profession hasn’t faltered, and he has now teamed up with his “acting double” Radcliffe for a new podcast, Cunning Stunts, in which the pair interview stunt performers from around the globe to shine a light on the people responsible for some of the most memorable sequences in film history.

“What I missed from my days at work, as much as doing the stunts and getting that buzz, was the...

‘Game of Thrones’ Stuntman Talks Being Set on Fire for Horrific Season 8 Premiere Scene
Game of Thrones (2011)
The most horrific moment of the “Game of Thrones” Season 8 premiere was easily when Beric Dondarrion had to light a young child turned white walker on fire. “Thrones” is well known for featuring graphic violence across its run, but the sight of a small boy screaming while he is burned alive sticks out as one of the show’s most brutal images (it brought back memories of the young Princess Shireen being burned alive in Season 5). Showrunner David Benioff calls the scene “a great horror movie sequence” in HBO’s official behind-the-scenes documentary on the premiere, which also introduces the stuntman who pulled off the horrific moment.

Paul Lowe is probably not a name that rings a bell for most “Thrones” viewers, but it’s likely many viewers are familiar with the stuntman’s work. “Winterfell,” the Season 8 premiere, was Lowe’s ninth “Thrones” episode and a full circle moment...
