Royal Family Officially Ignores Meghan Markle’s Latest Circus Act
Image
British royal family news reveals that Meghan Duchess of Sussex Markle’s past “work” is recognized on the British royal family’s official website. Before Meghan married the man formerly known as Prince, Harry, she was a cable actress and unknown blogger.

Both of these activities are mentioned in regard to Meghan Markle’s past, on the page about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. But what happens now that she has a bunch of failed and non-existent projects in the works? It’s a dilemma indeed.

Meghan Markle, Basic Cable Actress

According to GeoTV the website “mentions her work in TV series “Suits” and her blog “The Tig.” It goes on to say that “Prior to her marriage to The Duke of Sussex in 2018, The Duchess worked as an actress, appearing in film and television. She most notably played the role of Rachel Zane on the series Suits for seven seasons,...

Sorry We’re Closed Review: A Neon-Soaked Survival Horror Masterpiece
Image
Sorry We’re Closed quickly immerses players in its multifaceted exploration of love and survival. It begins with Michelle waking up cursed with a third eye by the towering, neon-drenched evil, The Duchess. Michelle’s three-day mission to break free from The Duchess’ curse is about more than just literal survival; it’s also about confronting her shattered relationship history and emotional stagnation.

The curse does more than just open her third eye; it forces her to confront the raw truths of the people (and demons) around her and the messy nature of love in all its manifestations. Her daily life, once defined by regularity and detachment, is now fraught with risk, introspection, and a desperate want for connection.

Sorry We’re Closed is a game about love, whether romantic, platonic, communal, or self-directed. The story masterfully contrasts the celestial idealism of pure, unspoiled love with the demonic need for...

Silver Lining Entertainment Dissolving: Jeff Golenberg & Jason Shapiro Launch Strand Entertainment, Sam Maydew Starts 734 Media
Image
Exclusive: After more than a decade, Silver Lining Entertainment, the management and production company founded by veterans Jeff Golenberg and Sam Maydew, is dissolving.

Golenberg and fellow Silver Lining partner Jason Shapiro have launched Strand Entertainment, a management and production company based in Los Angeles, bringing most of Silver Lining’s managers with them. Maydew has formed his own management/production company, 734 Media. The split we hear was amicable, with the former partners’ paths diverging, a process accelerated by the pandemic.

Joining Golenberg and Shapiro in their new venture are longtime colleagues Tarik Kanafani, Emily Rifanburg, Kaelyn Hutchins, and Aileen Lewis. Jeff’s brother, manager/producer Rob Golenberg, who was a partner at Silver Lining, has formed GoGi Entertainment, a new production company focused on international productions, with his former assistant Paulina Giron Velasquez. He also plans to continue to work alongside the Strand principals and their joint production entity,...

Christopher Eccleston, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who (2005)
Doctor Who | Millie Gibson reportedly leaving after one series
Christopher Eccleston, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who (2005)
According to a report, new Doctor Who companion Millie Gibson is leaving after her first series, and her replacement has been cast.

We’ve only had one hour of Ncuti Gatwa’s era of Doctor Who. However, in production terms, the second series is currently filming, and willl be broadcast in 2025.

While there are many advantages to filming so far ahead, one of the disadvantages is that information is harder to keep contained.

Which leads us to some news that was first reported by The Mirror – so do take it with a pinch of salt – but the story’s been picked up by a lot of websites, and it looks as though there’s something in this.

Apparently, Millie Gibson will leave Doctor Who after the 2024 Christmas Special. The new companion is said to be Varada Sethu, who is best known for starring in Neil Cross’ apocalyptic drama Hard Sun.

Walking a line between hilarity and lucid nightmare, a collection of images puts Black into the roles – and dresses – of several Disney Princesses. ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3: Why Do We Keep Ignoring Droid Discrimination?
Image
Editor's Note: The following contains minor spoilers from Season 3 Episode 6 of The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian has a long history of exploring new worlds in the galaxy, introducing worlds like Nevarro and Sorgan. While Season 3 focuses more on Mandalore, the element of exploration is still present, with the new planet introduced in Episode 6, "Guns for Hire," Plazir-15. This place is a self-described paradise. Recently free from the throes of the Empire, Plazir-15 refused to join the New Republic, instead becoming an independent planet. Plazir-15 founded an elective monarchy as they rebuilt the planet, relying on a direct democracy to decide their rulers. Despite the difficulty of independence, the citizens don't seem to like hard work. Luckily, the new society, now led by The Duchess (Lizzo) and Captain Bombardier (Jack Black), no longer requires people to work. Instead, they can lounge the day away and participate in the democratic system. But without workers,...

The Mandalorian fans baffled by bizarre guest appearances from Jack Black and Lizzo in latest episode
Image
Fans of The Mandalorian have been left divided by a pair of high-profile guest stars in the latest episode of the Star Wars spin-off.

Released on Disney+ on Wednesday (5 April), the episode “Chapter 22: Guns for Hire”, saw Jack Black and Lizzo play an eccentric couple.

The pop musician and School of Rock star appeared as “The Duchess” and her partner “Captain Bombardier” respectively, two characters whom Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Grogu and Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) meet on their travels.

The episode also featured Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd, who played Commissioner Helgait.

However, it was Black and Lizzo who drew the strongest reactions from the Star Wars fanbase, with viewers sharing their thoughts on social media after watching.

Pointint to a scene in which Lizzo’s character awards Grogu (aka “Baby Yoda”) with a knighthood, one fan wrote: “Lizzo just knighted Baby yoda aka grogu. What is happening in Star Wars?...

The Mandalorian Is A Mess Right Now, But The New Episode Has The Best Cameos Yet
Image
This season of "The Mandalorian" is kind of a mess. Season two gave us two clear objectives that seemed to define Din Djarin's story: go to Mandalore and bring Grogu to his people. These are cool yet simple goals with plenty of opportunities to drive the plot for awhile.

However, we already finished both quests already, leaving this season to seem rather aimless. The only thing driving the plot seems to be the drive to rebuild Mandalore now, despite that not being something that is easily achieved in a season of TV like this without doing a bunch of time skips like "House of the Dragon." Indeed, though the Mando-verse is presumably pointing to a massive crossover event down the line, the flagship show that started it all is going through a messy period.

For instance, Din Djarin has become a side character in his own story, even more than before,...

Image
Warning! This article contains Spoilers for The Mandalorian season 3, episode 6.

The Mandalorian season 3, episode 6 "Guns For Hire" surprised fans by featuring Jack Black and Lizzo, with each character's story building off the wider Star Wars timeline. In addition to the main plot with Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze, The Mandalorian season 3 has spent a good portion of its runtime on supporting characters, both for developing long-term story threads and for exploring the state of the galaxy after Return of the Jedi. The Mandalorian season 3, episode 6's new characters do a bit of both, and while the episode may have spent too much time on this tangent, Black and Lizzo give memorable performances and have good chemistry.
