Kathryn Bigelow's Star-Studded Netflix Political Thriller Readies For Buzzy Award Run With First Image
Image
Kathryn Bigelow already has two Academy Awards to her name, and she will be back for a buzzy awards run later this year. After making her directorial debut with the biker movie The Loveless (1981), Bigelow made a name for herself directing thrillers, such as Near Dark (1987), Blue Steel (1990), Point Break (1991), Strange Days (1995), and K-19: The Widowmaker (2002).

She gained critical acclaim for The Hurt Locker (2008), about a bomb squad in Iraq, and Bigelow became the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director, with the war movie also winning Best Picture. She followed that up with the political thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012), about the manhunt for Osama bin Laden, and earned another Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

However, her last movie was the crime drama Detroit (2017), but now, the first look at Bigelow's first film in eight years has been revealed.

‘Chicago Med’: 5 Things We Need to See in Episode 200
Image
Chicago Med will be reaching a major milestone in its 11th season, premiering in fall 2025: its 200th episode! It will be airing as the second episode. Its 100th episode featured Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) and Ben’s (Charles Malik Whitfield) wedding; sadly, their marriage didn’t last. Its 150th episode also featured a wedding — April (Yaya DaCosta) and Ethan’s (Brian Tee) — and was Tee’s final episode. It also revealed that Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) was in charge of the hospital after buying a controlling interest in Gaffney Medical Group. Elsewhere in the One Chicago world, both Fire and P.D. reached their 200th episodes. In Fire’s in 2021, Casey (Jesse Spencer) left Chicago for Oregon (but returned as a guest star multiple times). And on P.D. in 2023, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) faced her Pts from being shot, with a shooting victim on a train then rescuing a kid in a well.

How Much Beck's Mansion From Reacher Season 3 Costs In Real Life
Image
"Reacher" season 3 was based on the best of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books: "Persuader." That meant we finally got to see Child's hulking hero skulking around a mansion on-screen for the first time, and judging by the fact "Reacher" season 3 broke a huge Prime Video record, it was all a big success.

Season 3 of the popular streaming series saw the titular ex-Army officer infiltrating the mansion of shady rug salesman Zachary Beck, played by Anthony Michael Hall. DEA agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) previously sent one of her informants into Beck's operation, only for her to go missing, which is why Reacher is tasked with following in her footsteps and uncovering the secrets of Beck's dodgy dealings. The rest of the season was a delight for action fans as we essentially got to see Alan Ritchson's Reacher taking down an entire crew from within. As /Film's Jacob Hall put it,...

A House Of Dynamite | Kathryn Bigelow’s first film since 2017 due October
Image
Kathryn Bigelow’s new film is officially called A House Of Dynamite, and we’ll be seeing it this October. More on it here.

Kathryn Bigelow’s next film feels like it’s been a long time coming. After what seemed a long period of development, it was rather dismaying to learn in the spring of last year that Netflix wouldn’t be moving forward with Aurora, an apocalyptic thriller written by Jurassic Park scribe, David Koepp.

As you may know, there was a change in leadership at the streaming platform’s film division around that time, and Bigelow’s project – her first since 2017’s Detroit – was one casualty of many. Mind you, some reports have suggested that Bigelow may have actually exited the project, leading to its cancellation.

Either way, it wasn’t welcome news, but was sweetened by the reveal that Bigelow is collaborating with the streaming platform...

It seems a few original characters could be returning to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center next season on Chicago Med!

Chicago Med Season 11 Will See The Return Of 1 Or 2 Original Characters
Image
Chicago Medshowrunner and executive producer Allen MacDonald teases the return of a few familiar faces. Heading into Chicago Med season 11, which has already been renewed by NBC, the popular medical procedural has already established a habit of bringing back former cast members when the right story calls for it. Original cast member Rachel Dipillo reprised her role as the psychiatrist Sarah Reese, in addition to The Rookie's Meika Cox coming back as Robin Charles. Going back further, the One Chicago series has included surprise returns for Torrey DeVitto and Yaya DaCosta.

In recent comments to TVLine, MacDonald teased that Chicago Med season 11 will feature the return of a few original characters. Although the executive producer doesn't mention any specific names, he does point to Sarah Reese's return as an example of the kind of return that audiences can expect in the upcoming episodes:

Chicago Med Plots Returns of More Original Cast Members Next Season
Image
Chicago Medis set to bring back more original cast members for Season 11.

Speaking to TVLine, Chicago Med showrunner Allen MacDonald confirmed that he intends "to bring back another original cast member or two, like I did Sarah Reese, and that is in the works." While there was no obvious sign as to which original cast members MacDonald might have in mind, Colin Donnell, Nick Gehlfuss, Torrey DeVitto, Brian Tee, and Yaya DaCosta have all departed Chicago Med since making their debuts in the series' first season.

Chicago Med is the third entry in the One Chicago franchise created by Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Dick Wolf. In the series' recently concluded tenth season, Rachel Dipillo returned in a reprisal of her role as Doctor Sarah Reese, who left Chicago Med back in Season 4. Doctor Reese's exit from the series was particularly harrowing, as it came alongside the revelation that her...

Image
When Allen MacDonald took over as showrunner for Chicago Med, one goal was to bring past characters back into the Ed. "One of the unique opportunities of this One Chicago world is that you can bring these older characters back and have them come through the Ed again," he said at the beginning of Season 10. The season brought back Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel Dipillo) and Charles' daughter Robin (Mekia Cox), but the showrunner is not done with this endeavor yet. He revealed that he is working on new returns for Season 11, and he's been in touch with past doctors. "And they just texted me," he shared with TV Insider, but wouldn't reveal who it was. MacDonald explained where this desire to bring back past characters comes from, saying:

How We Already Know There Will Be ‘Reacher’ Season 4 After Season 3 Finale Episode
Image
Reacher Season 4 has been confirmed! Yes, you read that right. The third installment of the crime drama premiered on February 20, 2025, with the first three episodes. However, even before the latest season’s finale episode aired, the studio announced the renewal of the show for a new season.

Helmed by Nick Santora, the Amazon Prime series is based on the popular Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child. Alan Ritchson plays the titular role, perfectly fitting the description of a former military policeman in the U.S. Army. The show garnered immense attention and went on to become one of the best-performing shows on the platform. In fact, Reacher became the most-streamed series in its debut week, a first for an Amazon production.

With such strong momentum, Reacher Season 2 became the streaming platform’s biggest show, ultimately leading to the renewal for a third season. Season 1 adapted The Killing Floor, the first...

Reacher Star Alan Ritchson Played A Crucial Role In Casting One Important Character
Image
"Reacher" became a huge hit for Prime Video when it debuted in 2022, breaking records on the streamer by topping the Nielsen streaming charts. When season 2 arrived, however, some fans felt let down by the fact the show jumped ahead in the original book series, introducing Jack Reacher's former 110th Special Investigations Unit before audiences had a real chance to learn more about the ex-military policeman on his own. Thankfully, season 3 of "Reacher" fixed the biggest problems with season 2, and much of that was down to star Alan Ritchson.

The 6-foot 3-inch, 235-pound Ritchson has been committed to giving fans the best version of Jack Reacher possible ever since he went through a grueling eight-month audition process that originally saw him overlooked in favor of another actor. After landing the role, Ritchson came to embody the giant man mountain of Lee Child's original book series in a way that Tom Cruise,...

Star Wars: Visions Vol. 3 Has 4 Sequels to 3 of the Series’ Best Shorts
Image
Star Wars Celebration 2025 wouldn't be complete without an announcement for Star Wars: Visions. As divisive as Star Wars' new era under Disney has been, the animated anthology has been unanimously praised by fans and newcomers alike. Given how popular the concept of an anime anthology set in different iterations of that galaxy from far, far away has been, it was really only a matter of time before Star Wars: Visions - Volume 3 was announced.

That said, what makes Star Wars: Visions - Volume 3 so special is that it will be the first Star Wars: Visions season to feature sequels. What's more, the upcoming season will feature not one, but three sequels to three fan-favorite shorts. The shorts in question are none other than: The Duel, The Village Bride and The Ninth Jedi. The only thing more exciting than the prospect of seeing the likes of The Ronin, F and Lah...

'Star Wars: Visions' Season 3 Reveals First Footage, Spin-Off Series, Sequels, and More at Star Wars Celebration
Image
We're receiving our first look of the third season of Star Wars: Visions, which includes more than a few surprises. The animated anthology series is getting a new season on October 29, 2025, and in a departure from the show's first two seasons, it will be returning to the worlds of three previous shorts. Collider's Maggie Lovitt shared the information and below images from her coverage at Star Wars Celebration in Shiba, Japan.

Three shorts from the show's first season — "The Duel," "The Village Bride," and "The Ninth Jedi," — will get a sequel this season. The sequels are entitled "The Duel: Payback," "The Lost Ones," and "The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope." The same studios that animated them will return for the sequel, as well: Kamikaze Douga, Kinema Citrus, and Production I.G., respectively. Colliderfirst reported the possibility of a follow-up to "The Duel" when voice actor Brian Tee, who played the...

3 Chicago Med characters who might return for season 10 finale (and 2 who won't)
Image
Chicago Med is gearing up for its season 10 finale. There are lots of story threads to wrap up with the current roster of characters, but showrunner Allen MacDonald knew what he was doing when he told TV Line that we will be seeing the return of a former Med star.

MacDonald confirmed that some "unexpected faces" will be in the mix for the finale. The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects," he explained. "It's going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!" Since we have such an enticing lead to go on, we figured we'd go through the list of characters who are still alive, and determine how likely their return would be.

Michael Waxman on Chicago Med: Who is the man honored during new episode?
Oliver Platt, Steven Weber, Marlyne Barrett, S. Epatha Merkerson, and Jessy Schram in Chicago Med (2015)
Many Chicago Med fans asked, “Who is Michael Waxman?” after the new episode.

The questions come from a post-show credits scene honoring him.

“In Memory of Michael Waxman,” read the title card at the end of Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 18 (Together One Last Time) on April 16.

Waxman passed away earlier in April; the latest episode paid tribute to his association with the show.

Previous cast members have also left messages for and about him on social media.

“If you enjoy Chicago Med it’s because from Day One Michael Waxman pushed to make the show the best it could be and worked tirelessly to keep improving episode after episode, season after season. He loved his job,” wrote actor Colin Donnell.

“And as much as he loved making movies and television, it was a distant second to being on his ranch in Texas surrounded by his family. Getting to spend four...

Chicago Med spoilers: Will April Sexton return? Actress responds

Chicago Med spoilers have been floating around about characters returning this season.

As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, the showrunner also teased big surprises for the season finale.

The rumors have led fans to speculate about which characters could return.

Many former Chicago Med cast members have moved on to other things, with the writers keeping their characters alive for potential returns.

We have seen people like Torrey DeVitto return as Dr. Natalie Manning, and recently, Rachel Dipillo returned as Dr. Sarah Reese.

So who could be next to do it? That question was posed to another star of the show.

Yaya DaCosta asked if she would return to Chicago Med

Actress Yaya DaCosta has been busy since she left the Chicago Med cast. She used to play Nurse April Sexton, but the character married Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and went off into the sunset with him.

Chicago Med alum explains why they shouldn't return to the show (and we agree)
Image
Chicago Med has given us countless beloved characters over the years. The writing and the acting has always been the bread-and-butter of this show, and care has been taken with regard to keeping the storylines of each character intact. This is partially why someone as fondly remembered as April Sexton will not be returning to the show anytime soon.

Yaya DaCosta, the actress who plays Sexton, recently spoke about her feelings toward Chicago Med, and while she was effusive in her praise for the show and the impact it had on her career, she said she had no interest in returning. Why? Well, because she feels her character left at the perfect time. She's not interested in potentially undoing the resolution she loved so much.

We don't want Chicago Pd to continue this alarming trend with Burzek's wedding
Image
We are excited to see Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) get married. These two have been through lots of starts and stops when it comes to their romance, and it feels as though they've truly deserved their happy ending at the altar. Well, happy resolution might be a better word.

The notion of an "ending" kind of ties in with out underlying concern, though. One Chicago has treated fans to multiple weddings over the years. These episodes are typically season finales or mid-season finales, and they are a celebration of their respective shows as much as they are the couples getting married.

Image
We still don’t know when Chicago Med will be signing off the air with its season finale, but what’s becoming increasingly clear is that the final episode of season 10 is going to be one fans won’t want to miss. While NBC has been keeping its cards close to the chest, Chicago Med showrunner Allen MacDonald has dropped some major teases about what’s to come in the final hour of the season, and it seems fans are in for more than a few surprises!

In speaking with TVLine, MacDonald revealed the season 10 finale will bring back a few “unexpected faces,” and we’re definitely curious to see exactly who these faces might be. We’ve already seen some really surprising returns this season, most notably with the return of Rachel Dipillo as Dr. Sarah Reese, marking her first appearance on the show since season 4. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has got a lot of fans abuzz about what is in store for the MCU. Sitting snugly between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the film has an intriguing release date, that might hint to fans what exactly they might be in for.

Marvel is allegedly looking for a middle-aged actor of Asian descent for the film, and there is a clear indication of who this actor might play. Brand New Day, the run in the comics, brought in the character Martin Li, who fans might know better as Mister Negative.

Colin Donnell tributes late Chicago Med producer in heartfelt Instagram post
Image
Colin Donnell is a One Chicago legend. The actor played Dr. Connor Rhodes for four seasons on Chicago Med, and participated in some of the show's most indelible storylines. It's been a long time since fans have gotten to see him walk through the halls of Gaffney Medical Center, but Donnell is very much still part of the franchise family.

This connectivity was evident on Tuesday, April 8. Donnell took to Instagram to pay his respects to Michael Waxman, a former executive producer and director on Chicago Med. Waxman's information is hard to come by online, but Donnell claimed that the television veteran passed away. He also made a point to emphasize how much Waxman played a role in shaping the show we still watch today.

How Reacher’s Season 3 Finale Set Up Neagley Spinoff — Will You Watch?
Image
A brief exchange at the close of Reacher‘s Season 3 finale seemed to set the tone for the Prime Video hit’s upcoming Neagley spinoff.

After Jack Reacher (played by Alan Ritchson), Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) and DEA agents Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) and Guillermo Villanueva (Roberto Montesinos) got the best of the supervillainous Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee), Neagley shared an observation with her onetime 110th MP Special Investigations Unit boss.

The Fate of Every Reacher Character After Season 3
Image
The following contains spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 8, "Unfinished Business," now streaming on Prime Video.

Throughout Reacher Season 3, fans saw how fallible Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher was. He kept making errors as he took on a new task, and conflated his personal life with his missions in Portland, Maine. It was all due to him not being able to escape the demons of old, and these memories haunted him for years as a Major in the US Army.

Luckily, Reacher had a solid DEA team with him as he chased the architect of all this agony: Brian Tee's Francis Xavier Quinn. Reacher yearned to kill the weapons dealer for past sins committed against his old protégé, Dominique Kohl. Reacher finally gets the chance to do so in the finale in a massive firefight, and it's one of the series' most explosive episodes. Here is where everyone ends up in the Season 3 finale.

10 Best Megan Fox Movies, Ranked
Image
One of the most recognizable faces of the mid-2000s and 2010s, Megan Fox occupies a contentious position within Hollywood. While '90s babies were first introduced to Fox in films like "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" or the Mary-Kate and Ashley film "Holiday in the Sun," by 2007 she was best-known for playing eye candy in films like "Transformers."

The big question about Fox has always been, "Is she talented, or just hot?" Public opinion about Fox was not great following her breakout role in "Transformers." Many found her attractive (she was crowned "sexiest woman in the world" by FHM men's magazine in 2008), but these fans often didn't respect Fox either as a woman or an actress.

On the other hand, some found her deliberate sex appeal offensive or anti-feminist because she leaned into her sex symbol status and seemed okay with being objectified. Indeed, Fox has always been...

The following contains spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 8, "Unfinished Business," now streaming on Prime Video.

Reacher Season 3 has come to an end, Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher has fans wondering if he's still capable on the job. Reacher keeps making mistakes due to pent-up emotions.

A lot has to do with Reacher wanting a former target dead in Maine: Brian Tee's Francis Xavier Quinn. The former US Army Major gets his chance to put his rage to bed in this case once and for all.

The Reacher Season 3 Finale's Most Dramatic Death Is Way Worse In The Book
Image
This post contains spoilers for the "Reacher" season 3 finale.

The walking tree that is Alan Ritchson has deftly delivered another dose of heavy-handed justice in the third season of "Reacher," which fixed everything that was wrong with season 2. Season 3 had it all: Deception, intrigue, and Reacher finally facing a villain who seems more suited to take on Godzilla than our former military police investigator.

Standing at a ridiculous 7'2", Olivier Richters as Paul Masseralla will go down as one of the best characters on the show to date. The Dutch weightlifter did an excellent job of bringing the hulking henchman to life and making even Alan Ritchson look small. In what felt like a combative triathlon, Reacher fought Paulie over land, sea, and even spent an alarmingly long time hanging from mid-air in a barn. It was a stunning spectacle of both actors' physicality and a brilliantly choreographed fight to the death.

Chicago Med is finally giving us the Archer spotlight we've been waiting for
Image
Dean Archer (Steven Weber) used to be somebody Chicago Med fans cheered against. He was on the right side of Gaffney Medical Center's staff, but he was often antagonistic and manipulative of those he worked with. He gave Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) a hard time for years, and he was skeptical of Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and her ability to maintain sobriety.

Now, however, Archer has become one of the most beloved characters on the show. He's softened since his promotion to full time cast member, and allowed himself to be more vulnerable with those around him. Especially Asher. And Chicago Med's upcoming episode, "The Book of Archer," is the culmination of this character arc.

Archer will be the focus of the April 2 episode

The promo sees Archer undergo an especially difficult day on the job. He gets hit with intense case after intense case, and the promo gives...

'Reacher' Season 3 Ending, Explained
Image
The Season 3 finale of Reacher just landed on Prime Video, and it was a worthy conclusion to what has been one of the best seasons of the series thus far. Every major player inevitably got what was coming to them, good or bad, which proved to be rather satisfying. It all came to a head with plenty of gunfire during Beck’s (Anthony Michael Hall) 50th birthday party. Merely just a ruse for Quinn’s (Brian Tee) business dealings, nothing unfolded as planned, at least for the bad guys.

After realizing the Atf unknowingly followed Beck into Quinn’s trap at the junkyard, it’s clear the buyers weren’t there to purchase a thing. Rather, it was all a set-up to get rid of Beck and blame everything on him, so Quinn could escape and hit the refresh button just like he'd done in the past. In the process,...

'You Better Not Die': Alan Ritchson Recalls Getting Knocked Unconscious Filming Reacher Season 3 Finale
Image
This article contains spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 8: 'Unfinished Business'.

Alan Ritchson recently revealed how he was knocked unconscious while filming the Reacher Season 3 finale. The episode, 'Unfinished Business', was released today.

The season finale of Reacher saw Ritchson's character finally face off with both Paulie (Oliver Richters) and Quinn (Brian Tee), and it was a brutal battle that also pushed Ritchson to his limit in real life, too. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Ritchson revealed that he insisted on shooting his own stunts -- and ended up getting knocked unconscious at the beginning of the fight scene.

"The whole point is you just watch Reacher get ragdolled for five minutes straight," Ritchson said about the brutal Reacher fight. "And I was like, 'This is fun. I like that this is the idea for everybody right now.' And I get the bright idea to shoot a stunt in a way,...
