Animated 'Indiana Jones' Series Was In Development for Disney+
Image
Lucasfilm was seemingly looking to expand the world of Indiana Jonesonto Disney+, similar to Star Wars, but Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny might have complicated that. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was the fifth and final chapter in the long-running film franchise, and it was highly publicized for being Harrison Ford's final time playing the title role. With Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy seemingly saying only Harrison Ford would play Indiana Jones, there doesn't seem like much growth for the franchise expansion. However, at one point in time, Lucasfilm apparently had a few ideas to expand the series, one that could have fleshed out the supporting characters in Indiana Jones's life.

During the latest episode of the popular movie podcast Blank Check with Griffin & David, co-host Griffin Newman reveals he previously auditioned for an Untitled Lucasfilm animated series that seemingly was an Indiana Jones-style show.

‘The White Lotus’ Season 3: Who Voices Tim’s Co-Worker Kenny?
Image
Note: This story contains spoilers from “The White Lotus” Season 3, Episode 2.

“The White Lotus” Season 3 managed to sneakily include a beloved actor into the mix on the sly.

The second episode of the HBO hit series included a phone conversation between Tim Ratliff (Jason Isaacs) and a former co-worker Kenny — someone who Tim denied having heard from in four years to a reporter in the premiere.

Kenny and Tim are into some shady stuff regarding their Sho-Kel fund and the government of Brunei. Tim’s call with Kenny featured the voice of an actor many fans hoped would appear in the show at some point after he blew back onto the acting scene in the 2020s.

Here’s more on the re-emerged Oscar winner who the show got to voice Kenny.

Who Voices Kenny?

Kenny is voiced by none other than Ke Huy Quan. You hear mention of Kenny in the Season 3 premiere,...

A Young Kevin Feige Was Fanboying Over Ke Huy Quan on X-Men 1 Set Thanks To Latter’s Role in a 1984 Adventure Epic
Image
Before Kevin Feige became the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he was associated with the franchise as a movie-loving kid, obsessed with adventure films. So, when he met Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan on the set of X-Men, where he worked as assistant fight choreographer and stunt rigger, Feige couldn’t help but fanboy a little!

Why? Because as a kid, Kevin Feige had been in awe of Ke Huy Quan’s child actor role as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). So, meeting the onscreen personality he related with in his childhood, naturally felt like a dream come true. Later on, both Feige and Huy Quan played major roles in shaping Hollywood’s biggest cinematic universes.

'Indiana Jones' Star Ke Huy Quan Wants Short Round To Return in New Sequel
Image
Ke Huy Quan's Hollywood comeback is nothing short of remarkable. The actor, who starred in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in his adolescence, quit acting for several decades after struggling to find work, instead becoming a stunt performer and supervisor. But his chance casting in Everything Everywhere All at Once catapulted his career back into the limelight and led to his first Oscar win. Quan has since starred in the McU's Loki, American Born Chinese, and Kung Fu Panda 4, as well as the new action movie, Love Hurts. Looking ahead to the future, Quan has several major movies he's working on, but he also wants to reprise one of his oldest and most controversial roles.

During an interview with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ke Huy Quan addressed a potential Indiana Jones revival with his character, Short Round, coming back.

Ke Huy Quan Has Nothing But Love for Hollywood
Image
After 40 years in Hollywood, Ke Huy Quan is no stranger to getting knocked around, literally and figuratively. He burst into the pop-culture consciousness in 1984 as the adorable young sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It was a pure accident — he’d accompanied his brother to the open audition, and when a casting director overheard him coaching from the sidelines, he got the gig instead (over not just his own brother but a reported 6,000 other kids). Another scene-stealing turn in the beloved adventure movie The Goonies followed,...

Ke Huy Quan Says Steven Spielberg Convinced Him to Tackle 'Love Hurts'
Image
Ke Huy Quan has found an exciting resurgence in his career following his award-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Following his win for best supporting actor at the Academy Awards, Quan has gone on to snag roles in Disney+ shows such as American Born Chinese, Loki Season 2, alongside films like Kung Fu Panda 4, and the upcoming Russo Brothers film The Electric State for Netflix. However, his first leading role in the upcoming movie Love Hurts was more complicated for the actor to accept — until he was advised by an iconic director to stop overthinking it all and just take the role.

In a new interview with Empire Magazine, the actor revealed that it was the first director he had ever worked with, Steven Spielberg, who would help to convince him that he was leading man material. Quan's retelling of the event details Spielberg as incredibly caring and empathetic towards the actor,...

A Ghostbusters Star Had A Cameo You Probably Missed In Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
Image
Despite improving its reputation over time, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" remains notorious in its own way. The prequel to 1981's "Raiders of the Lost Ark" saw Indy team up with a new sidekick, Short Round (Ke Huy Quan), and Kate Capshaw's nightclub singer Willie Scott for a decidedly darker tale than its predecessor. Though it has since been reappraised, "Temple of Doom" was met with a mixture of confusion and consternation upon its 1984 release, even while it became a box office success. None of this should have been all that surprising for director Steven Spielberg, however, seeing as the original "Temple of Doom" writer was scared away by the story he and George Lucas had in mind.

Now, some 40 years after it first debuted, "Temple of Doom" occupies an odd space in the "Indiana Jones" lineage, simultaneously overcoming its initial reaction while still trailing some controversy,...

15 Greatest Food Scenes In Movies
Image
Like cinema, food often creates a powerful communal experience, and movies have used food in a variety of ways. Food is one of the few universal experiences, and art has historically used it to communicate across different cultures. Different kinds of food can mean different things, as can the circumstances in which people prepare and eat it. Since long before film was invented, food has held an important place in all kinds of art all over the world.

Food is a basic human need, so it can serve many different roles in movies. Whether characters are discovering new dishes, pouring their hearts into meals for others or sharing food, there are endless potential connotations. Most of the time, movies can make food look extremely appealing using sight and sound alone. Animated movies tend to be especially good at this. Food scenes can create a visceral response, since evoking different flavors...

“There is nothing wrong with Indy having a boyish sidekick”: Shia Labeouf Does Not Deserve the Hate He Gets For the Downfall of Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones Franchise
Image
According to the unofficial Indiana Jones fan census, everyone pretty much agrees that Mutt Williams, played by Shia Labeouf in 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is the franchise’s least favorite offspring. Why? Well, not only does Mutt come out of nowhere as Indy’s long-lost son, but his leather-jacket-wearing, greaser persona just didn’t sit well with fans who were expecting something a bit more classic Indiana Jones.

People felt Shia Labeouf was a total miscast as Mutt Williams, with many struggling to believe that this annoying kid could possibly be the son of Indiana “freakin'” Jones! There was a strong sense that the franchise was just trying to cash in on Labeouf’s then-popularity. But does Mutt really deserve all that hate?

Why Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Is a Complicated Classic
Image
Before the fourth and fifth film in the Indiana Jones series, fans mostly agreed on which movie was the worst. Yet Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has a complicated legacy that goes beyond fan opinion. It's the most important chapter as far as defining who Indiana Jones is and what makes him a hero. However, in trying to capture the sensibilities of the old Republic serials that inspired the character, the film veers into deeply problematic territory.

The Temple of Doom is a prequel and chronologically Indy's earliest adventure (the opening to The Last Crusade and The Young Indiana Jones Adventures notwithstanding). George Lucas and Steven Spielberg set the story earlier in time and half a world away from the nascent Third Reich -- also ensuring Karen Allen's Marion Ravenwood can't return. Christian mysticism is replaced in the story by a fantastical interpretation of the Thuggee cult,...

Both Ke Huy Quan and Brendan Fraser made comebacks, winning Oscars in 2022 after their roles in Encino Man, proving talent endures.

Ke Huy Quan had a role in Encino Man in 1992, and the movie features not one but two 2022 Oscar winners. Indiana Jones and the League of Assassins Fan Project Reunites the Franchise's Most Beloved Heroes
Image
Fan artist Adam Murphy reunites the classic Indiana Jones cast for an exciting new adventure set in the 1980s, with his series of images reminiscent of pulp adventure novel covers. Murphy's attention to detail in his Indy art is commendable, as is his commitment to staying true to the franchise's established timeline, something fans will appreciate. On particularly exciting element of Murphy's latest post is inclusion of older Short Round, fulfilling the fan desire to catch up with an adult version of the character, which Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny did not fulfil.

Indiana Jones & Temple Of Doom Criticized By Expert For 1 Very Wrong Detail In India Location
Image
The alligators shown in the rope bridge scene of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom are actually American alligators, which is an inaccuracy since the scene takes place in India. Alligators do not eat in a communal manner in the wild, contrary to how they are portrayed in the film. They are known to rip off pieces of prey for immediate consumption. The inaccurate portrayal of Indian culture and religion in Temple of Doom, including the depiction of the Thuggees and their practices, perpetuates harmful stereotypes and led to the film being banned in India.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom features a significant error during one of its most iconic scenes. The scene in question occurs when Indy, Short Round, and Willie Scott are being pursued by Mola Ram and the Thuggees, and find themselves cornered on a rope bridge. Indy famously declares, "Mola Ram! Indiana Jones 5's Scrapped Short Round Idea Would've Fixed 1 Problem (But Created Another)
Image
Bringing back Short Round would have been a great asset to Indiana Jones 5, redeeming the character and exploring his background. Including a zombie plot in the movie would not have worked, as it would have required major revisions and distracted from the main plot. The Indiana Jones franchise has used supernatural elements before, but zombies would have been a stretch for the audience to believe.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny eliminated a plot starring Short Round, which would have solved one problem but created another one. The last time audiences saw Short Round, he was known as Indiana Jones' tiny sidekick, fighting off Shuggee warriors and even driving a car (with the help of some trusty wooden blocks). The karate-chopping child first came to prominence in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom in 1984 and, apart from being in a few comics, hasn't been seen in any...

An Indiana Jones Poster’s Character Change Was So Good, George Lucas Called The Artist

"I'll Shove It Up Your Ass": Sean Connery Was Frustrated By One Indiana Jones Action Scene

Special effects legend Mike Dawson reveals that Sean Connery got angry with him on the set of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade while filming the tank action scene. Dawson had the job of dispersing hot, oil-based smoke inside the tank, and Connery told him: "If you put that anywhere near me again, I’ll shove it up your ass." 10 Harsh Realities Of Rewatching Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom, 39 Years Later
Image
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was a successful film at the time of release, but it hasn't aged well compared to the rest of the franchise. The film's portrayal of Indian culture is disrespectful and shows a caricature of real practices and beliefs. The character Short Round is both beloved and polarizing, with some finding his dialogue grating or offensive while others appreciate his endearing and likable qualities.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is a contentious film, aging perhaps the worst out of the original trilogy and the extended catalog. The second installment in the Indiana Jones movie franchise, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, was actually a prequel to the first film. Harrison Ford's charisma was always given plenty of scenery to chew in the pulp action series, but Temple of Doom provided a particularly dazzling backdrop to his adventures with the enigmatic Thugee cult in India.

While there are possibilities for reboots and spinoffs, the Indiana Jones franchise can never work without Harrison Ford Dial of Destiny's shortcomings prove that the Indiana Jones franchise has limitations in the modern day.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny revived the classic adventure franchise starring Harrison Ford over forty years after the original film was first released. Despite being helmed by Logan director James Mangold and featuring an impressive supporting cast, Dial of Destiny was met with a lukewarm reception and generally underwhelming box office numbers. Marketed as the last chapter in the Indiana Jones franchise, the film still left some room for a sixth film, either with Harrison Ford returning or with Phoebe Waller-Bridge taking his place.

Loki: Where You’ve Seen Ke Huy Quan Before
Image
Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan joined the cast of Loki in season 2 as Ouroboros, a.k.a. Ob. Ob is the chief (and only) engineer of the Tva’s Repairs and Advancement department, where he’s spent 400 years alone keeping the Tva and its tech up and running. The season premiere, named “Ouroboros,” introduces the quirky character and gives Quan ample opportunity to build a rapport with series leads Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston. Ob may be a new character, but thanks to Quan, we already can’t wait to see more of him.

Quan’s career has recently had a long overdue resurgence since he captured hearts and garnered critical acclaim as Waymond Wang in Everything Everywhere All At Once, but he’s been acting since the 1980s. Loki Costume Designer Explains Ob's Link To The Goonies

Ke Huy Quan makes his MCU debut as Tva agent Ouroboros "Ob" in Loki Season 2. The actor won an Academy Award for his role in 2022's Everything Everywhere All At Once, but he is perhaps best known for his roles as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data in The Goonies.

"It was really fun because he talked about, well, the first fittings, or maybe it was a phone call, he talked about patches because Data had patches, and he was like, 'What about patches? Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom's Criticized Banquet Scene Was Supposed To Be A Joke
Image
Steven Spielberg's 1984 blockbuster "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" is not a good movie. The pacing is strange, the central story is introduced rather late into the film, and the interior logic doesn't really stand up to scrutiny. Many also take issue with Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) as she constantly whines. Also what is the true nature of the Sankara stones, and why is it bad that Mola Ram (Amrish Puri) has them? It seems that Mola Ram and Chattar Lal (Roshan Seth) are quite evil enough merely enslaving hundreds of children to work in their mines.

"Temple of Doom" is also the bloodiest and scariest of the "Indiana Jones" movies, a quality that both Spielberg and story writer/producer George Lucas have said was inspired by their respective messy breakups at the time. While many find the movie's gore to be fun and zesty -- including this...

That's Not How Fire Works: 10 Indiana Jones Mistakes You Can't Unsee
Image
Indiana Jones films have numerous small errors that add humor and make the scenes feel less consistent and real. Mistakes in action scenes, like the obvious trench that appears for a stuntman in Raiders of the Lost Ark, take away the intensity and realism. Some mistakes, like the random hand steering the boat in The Last Crusade, make the films funnier and don't negatively impact the franchise.

Indiana Jones is one of the most iconic franchises, but no matter how popular it is with audiences today, there are still goofs and mistakes that make the franchise funnier than it should be. Many films hold small errors, with some obvious and others so hidden that it would require a rewatch to notice them. Since Indiana Jones didn't have a huge budget or the necessary resources for CGI, there were bound to be mistakes that slipped through the editing and made it onto the big screen.

Indiana Jones Secretly Stole Back the Idol He Lost in Raiders' Opening
Image
Raiders of the Lost Ark’s opening scene is one of the most iconic in cinema history, introducing audiences to Indiana Jones in a thrilling sequence that sees him retrieve a golden idol from a booby-trapped temple. And though Indy’s efforts are seemingly all for naught after his rival Belloq takes the idol from his hands, Dr. Jones managed to steal the idol back and get it into a museum after all. But the nature of how he gets it back proves that fans were better off not seeing this epilogue to his most famous scene.

Indiana Jones: Is Phoebe Waller-Bridge the Future of the Franchise?
Image
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is drawing a divisive response from audiences and critics. The consensus is that the film is an effective sendoff but does not pack the necessary emotional punch for Indy's last chapter. One of the more controversial elements of the film is Pheobe Waller-Bridge’s character, Helena Shaw.

Helena (Waller-Bridge) is someone with a past that is connected to Indy. Her character's snarky dialogue and general actions left fans conflicted about how they should feel about her. Those divisive feelings seem to forget one possibility about the character. Helena could be the future of the Indiana Jones franchise going forward.

In the film, Helena is a character similar to Indiana Jones. She’s snarky, funny, and always looking for an adventure. The only difference is that starting in the Dial of Destiny, she is driven by financial victories. As she continues her journey,...

Indiana Jones 5 Star Was 'Disappointed' About the Size of Their Role

The following contains spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in cinemas now.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star Karen Allen recently revealed she wasn't thrilled about the size of Marion Ravenwood's role when she first read the action-adventure blockbuster's script.

Allen admitted to feeling underwhelmed upon learning that Marion only has a brief cameo during Dial of Destiny's denouement in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "When Steven [Spielberg] was still gonna direct the film, I didn't have the opportunity to read any of those scripts, although I know that Marion was much more involved in the story at that juncture," she said. As the curtains rise on the film, audiences are transported back to 1969, a time defined by the Space Race. The film revolves around Indiana Jones, who becomes increasingly uneasy about the U.S. government's decision to recruit former Nazis to aid in surpassing the Soviet Union in the race to make it to space. In the captivating final scene, viewers catch a glimpse of Indy's iconic hat hanging on a clothesline outside his apartment. The Endings to ‘Indiana Jones’ Movies Have Always Been Wild (Commentary)
Image
As “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” hits theaters, it’s time yet again for the fan debate over whether the MacGuffin and/or ending of the latest “Indiana Jones” movie is too far-fetched. This debate ignited when “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was released in 2008, which found Harrison Ford’s rugged hero coming face-to-face with a literal alien, but how quickly fans seem to forget that this is a franchise rooted in the mystical – going all the way back to Steven Spielberg’s original, iconic “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

“Dial of Destiny” takes a big swing in its third act, but it’s a swing that is – on the whole – not much bolder or bigger than what’s been portrayed in the previous films. So why does this always seem to catch fans by surprise? Because “Indiana Jones” is too good.

Spielberg, Ford,...

Indiana Jones 5: Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Helena is Indy’s Best Partner Since Marion
Image
This article contains all the spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

“I’m your goddamn partner!” When Marion Ravenwood shouted that declaration over the sounds of a burning bar and a Nepalese winter, she immediately cemented herself as the best companion for Indiana Jones. Sure, he’s been paired with other sidekicks, but none of them have lived up to the standard set by Marion. That is until Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Helena Shaw might seem like a second attempt at the Mutt Williams model from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Like Mutt, she sees Indy as a father figure. But with the aged Dr. Jones at a particularly low point, Helena has higher status in the movie, which works to bring out the best in a hero who’s more than long in the tooth.

Indiana Jones Fans Calling for Short Round Spinoff After Dial of Destiny
Image
The fifth Indiana Jones movie has lassoed its way into theaters, and the occasion marks the final time fans will see Harrison Ford donning the fedora. The 80-year-old has made it clear he is finished with playing Indiana Jones, leaving the future of the franchise unclear. While there won't be any more adventures with Ford's Indy, the story could still theoretically continue, perhaps with one of the newcomers to the franchise, such as Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Helena Shaw, or perhaps with another character from a previous installment of the series.

For some fans, there'd be no better character to explore an Indiana Jones spinoff with than Short Round. Played by Ke Huy Quan in the second film in the series, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the character has not been seen in the franchise since. More recently, Quan has become more popular than ever with his Oscar-winning...

Indiana Jones 5 Introduces Ke Huy Quan's Short Round Successor
Image
The following contains spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, in theaters now.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny makes Helena Shaw into a formidable foil to the titular hero. Helena proves to be Indy's equal in terms of raw intellect, countering his wit and even surpassing it at points. She's quick on her feet, able to use her environment to her advantage, and even shares his wandering eye for potential hook-ups. But they also share another unexpected similarity: both Indy and Helena end up recruiting sidekicks during their adventures.

Following in the footsteps of Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Teddy Kumar serves as Helena's partner in crime throughout Dial of Destiny. Notably, though, the character has some advantages over the more problematic Short Round. In the same sense that Helena carries the legacy of Indiana Jones' adventures forward with a more modern perspective,...

Short Round Is Indiana Jones’ Best Sidekick
Image
Ke Huy Quan’s Short Round character in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom will always be Indy’s greatest sidekick. As beguiling as Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) might’ve been in Raiders of the Lost Ark or as compelling as Sallah (John Rhys-Davies) might’ve been in four of the franchise’s five films, no supporting character can touch Short Round. Not only does this character have the audacity, courage, and spunk to match Jones, but his youthful sweetness adds a layer of charm to Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) that no other sidekick manages to achieve. As we revisit Short Round’s role in Temple of Doom, we’ll see why he not only serves as a useful Robin to Jones’ Batman, but he also brings out a fatherly tenderness in Jones that makes the famed archeologist an even better protagonist.

With Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Harrison Ford returns to one of his most defining characters, the archeologist adventurer Indiana Jones. But unlike Lucasfilm's major moneymaker from a galaxy far, far away, Indiana Jones is not a character who has an extensive filmography.

Critics have reviewed every adventure, so Rotten Tomatoes has assigned each one a score. While not every entry is beloved by all, every Indiana Jones film has something to love about it.

How The Original Indiana Jones Movies Aged Well
Image
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny finally hits theaters on June 30th and will conclude the long and storied adventures of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones. Although the new installment of the franchise is exciting, nothing will ever be able to top the three original Indiana Jones movies.

Temple of Doom, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Last Crusade all show their age in certain places, but the original Indiana Jones trilogy has still aged particularly well. From iconic characters to timeless scenes and catchy music, the three Indiana Jones movies still hold up.

Why Temple Of Doom Is The Best Indiana Jones Film
Image
Eight minutes into Temple Of Doom, Indiana Jones kills someone by hurling a flaming kebab into his chest. As far as I’m aware, we hadn’t seen such a thing on screen before. Or in real life. It’s outrageous really, an insane thing to do, and to see. But all of Temple Of Doom is loopy. With Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas had made a genuinely classic film, got heaps of acclaim, and now here they were with a follow-up for which they, well, went mad. To which I say: Thank you.

Temple Of Doom is pulpier, funnier, sillier, scarier than Raiders. Each Indy outing is tonally different from the last; this one actually becomes a whole other film halfway through, switching unapologetically from knockabout farce to traumatic nightmare. And for all its faults – which, for all the film’s greatness, are admittedly plentiful – it is,...

Why Short Round Isn't In Indiana Jones 5 Explained By Director
Image
Director James Mangold explains why the fan-favorite Short Round isn't in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Played by Ke Huy Quan, Short Round played an important role in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Interest in Short Round making a triumphant return to the franchise became particularly strong after Quan's widely praised and Oscar-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Despite the interest in Short Round's return, Quan has confirmed that he does not appear in the new film.

While speaking with IGN, Mangold provides more insight into why Short Round is not in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Mangold clarifies that it wasn't about wanting to exclude Short Round specifically, but more so thinking about which characters would best serve the story of Indiana Jones' newest adventure. ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ (1984): Dr. Jones’ Darkest Chapter
Harrison Ford
While many remember the charming rogue of an archaeologist from the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dr. Henry ‘Indiana’ Jones’ second cinematic adventure, Temple of Doom, revealed a much darker side to the character. Set in 1935, the film opens with Indiana escaping from a deal gone wrong in Shanghai. After crashing a plane in the Himalayas and surviving a harrowing raft trip down raging rapids, he finds himself in a remote Indian village where the sacred Sankara stone has been stolen. Enlisting the help of a nightclub singer and a precocious child sidekick, Indiana is determined to recover the stone from the sinister Thuggee cult in their palace of death. What follows is a disturbing descent into a hellish underworld of ritual sacrifice, black magic, mind control, and even human heart extraction.
