Since the title was announced for Justice League Dark: Apokalips War, the biggest question in some fans’ minds was “hang on, who now?” Justice League Dark, the team of magical heroes that includes Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing and a rotating cast of lesser-known mystics, has always had a very specific lane and focus: the supernatural. Not typically included in that mystical lane are Darkseid, Desaad, Apokalips, or the rest of the Fourth World heroes or villains. But the new trailer for the upcoming DC Animated feature sheds some new light on that puzzling “why:” because they’re all that’s left.
Here’s everything you need to know…

The Teen Titans have proven remarkably flexible since their mid-1960s debut as a collection of sidekicks. They appealed to the young readers with Bob Haney’s laughable “hip” language and as the readership grew up, so too did the members of the team, addressing adult issues with changing times and tastes.
They were propelled from mid-list to top-seller status by the Marv Wolfman and George Pérez run starting in summer 1980. These were teens on the verge of adulthood and had problems and issues that the college-age readership were drawn to. The blend of supernatural, science fiction, and super-heroics meant the stories could, and did, go anywhere.
In 2003, things went full-circle as the more mature incarnation was youthified for younger viewers as the Teen Titans hit the Cartoon Network in a five-season run. This success led to the even younger Teen Titans Go! so all the characters and their conflicts...

Cult horror movies that have actors in them that go on to mega stardom create a separate category all their own. Kevin Bacon in “Friday the 13th”, George Clooney in “Horror High”, and Johnny Depp in the original “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. They always say that a hero (or anti-hero in this case) is only as good as his villain. And 'Dexter' has seen his fair share of villains over the course of the show's now 8 year history. Each individual season has boasted a "big bad," a main killer whose story arc is spread across the entire 12 episode run. In season 1, it was the Ice Truck Killer (Christian Camargo). Season 2 was technically Dexter himself as Miami Metro was after the Bay Harbor Butcher. Season 3 gave us Miguel Prado (Jimmy Smits). Season 4 is arguably the biggest of the big bad’s and unanimously a fan favorite the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow). Season 5 was a group of killers led by Jordan Chase (Johnny Lee Miller). Season 6, things got biblical with the Doomsday Killer (Colin Hanks). And last season brought the Ukrainian mob into the equation with Isaak Sirko (Ray Stevenson). And while...

Baton Rouge, La. — A Baton Rouge rapper known as "Lil Boosie" has been sentenced to eight years in prison following his guilty plea to drug charges.
The 29-year-old rapper's real name is Torrence Hatch. He pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiring to smuggle codeine, marijuana and ecstasy into two state prisons. They were the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, La.
Assistant District Attorney Dana Cummings says Hatch was serving a prison term for a separate conviction for marijuana possession when he smuggled the drugs with help from a prison guard.
State District Judge Mike Erwin in Baton Rouge sentenced him to the new prison term.
Hatch also faces a first-degree murder charge in the 2009 death of Terry Boyd. The trial is scheduled to start April 30.

Local TV station Wfab reports that District Judge Mike Erwin passed down the sentence after Boosie admitted that he tried to smuggle drugs into Louisiana's Dixon Correctional Center and Angola State Penitentiary. Upon hearing his sentence, the 29-year-old rapper requested admittance to a drug rehab program, and while the judge agreed to recommend treatment, he wouldn't order it. When Wreckage first started it had me worried. The basic premise of the opening scene is two kids caught up in a shooting of their mother and her bully of a boyfriend. The thing that worried me was the acting and quality of the effects on the shooting. It just seemed to be a failed scene in what should have been the opener to lay the grounds for the movie. Not a good sign at all.
Gladly this changed quickly though as we moved on into the “years later” scenario and the story found its footing. It’s a typical tale where we are introduced to four average young people who take drive into the middle of nowhere but end up breaking down. They remember they saw a junk yard a...

There’s a theory that you can tell more about a society from its “low-brow” pop culture than you can from its high art. If that’s true, there’s not too much that’s more low-brow than the teen sex comedy, movies which are usually celebrations of male promiscuity and debauchery – often with a vague or bittersweet moral tacked on at the end.
What are teen sex comedies saying about gay people?
Surprisingly, the news lately is pretty good. A trio of recent teen sex comedies, Easy A, She’s Out of My League, and I Love You, Beth Cooper, have either included sympathetic gay teen characters, or joked about gay themes in surprisingly progressive or inclusive ways.
Of course, gay folks have always existed in teen sex comedies in some form or another. It’s just that they’ve usually appeared either as brief sight gags to be ridiculed or,...

The 27-year-old Baton Rouge, Louisiana, rapper — already behind bars on a probation violation — was indicted on first-degree murder charges by a grand jury on June 17 in connection with an incident in October, when two men shot and killed 35-year-old Terry Boyd through the window of his home.
According to The Advocate newspaper, Boosie appeared in court for just a few minutes, looking somber, surrounded by six law enforcement officers and dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit, with his wrists and ankles shackled. Chris O'Donnell is in negotiations to star in the CBS comedy pilot The Amazing Westerbergs. Kelley's legal drama for ABC. He next stars opposite Liam Neeson and Laura Linney in Fox Searchlight's Kinsey. The actor, whose credits also include such features as Vertical Limit and Batman & Robin, is repped by WMA, Untitled Entertainment and the law firm of Armstrong Hirsch Jackoway Tyerman & Wertheimer. In other pilot casting news, Mike Erwin (Hulk) has joined the WB Network's drama pilot The Robinsons: Lost in Space, playing Don West.
