AMC’s teasing Twd fans with a 30-second promo for the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Season two wrapped up on November 3, 2024, and season three is expected to premiere in 2025.

“Season three will follow Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love,” reads AMC’s synopsis. “As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”

Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride return to star as Daryl and Carol, with Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay on board as season three regulars. AMC Networks has revealed the first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3, which will premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+. The third season of the hit series starring Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) is filmed in Spain.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 will be based in Madrid, with extensive location shooting taking place in the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions, each providing a new and unique backdrop for the post-apocalyptic world.

Debuting in 2025, the series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunner David Zabel, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, and Steve Squillante with Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega joining as executive producers this season. Peregrinos SP24 provides Spanish production services for the third season.

The post-apocalyptic AMC drama series “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” will film its third season across multiple regions in Spain. Production is currently underway for the new season, scheduled to premiere in 2025. This marks a shift from the previous French setting as the show explores different areas coping with the global walker outbreak.

Series lead characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier ended season two pursuing their goal to return home. In a post-finale teaser, Norman Reedus expressed Dixon’s exhaustion but determination, saying “I was ready to give up. Thought it was all over.” Melissa McBride’s Carol responded that she felt the same.

Showrunner David Zabel said the characters “should not settle down” and must “keep moving” on their journey. Filming will take place in Spain’s Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions to continuing telling their story. Zabel hinted future seasons may explore more global locations depending on the characters’ paths.

The teaser (below) debuted during Sunday night’s finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, “The Book of Carol,” which left the recently reunited zombie-fighting travelers in a tunnel heading to London. With production on the already renewed third season now underway in Spain, the big question is: How will Daryl and Carol wind up there?

“I was ready to give up. Thought it was all over,” Daryl (Norman Reedus) tells Carol (Melissa McBride) in the teaser. “You and me both,” she replies, with as much of a smile as she can muster.

In the season finale of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride’s O.G. zombie-fighters finally escape France, but not exactly as they hoped. Heading into the hour, the fan-favorite duo were set to split from one another, as clutch rescue pilot Ash (Manish Dayal) couldn’t fit them both on his plane. Daryl decides to stay, despite Carol wanting to take his place in the sacrifice play. In the end, both of them get to stick around, thanks to the last gasps of the French autocrat army showing up right before takeoff.

Outgunned, Daryl briefly appears outnumbered until Carol shows up right in the nick of time to save his hide.

So it’s no surprise that we’re getting The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2, with it now getting an official Spring 2025 launch, which was announced this weekend at Nycc. AMC’s popular post-apocalyptic series “The Walking Dead: Dead City” will return for its second season in spring 2025. Show executives unveiled a first look at the new season during a panel at New York Comic Con on Friday.

The panel featured lead actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, who play Negan and Maggie. They shared the stage with co-stars Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, and Dascha Polanco. Scott M. Gimple, chief of content for The Walking Dead universe, also attended.

A 30-second teaser trailer introduced viewers to the new season. It showed Maggie and Negan on opposing sides of a growing power struggle in Manhattan. Negan declared ominously “Power is power.” Scenes of landmarks like Radio City operating with electricity highlighted the theme of restoring control.

According to AMC, Season 2 will find Maggie and Negan caught in a war for Manhattan’s leadership. As their paths cross, escaping the conflict becomes more complex.

Zombies and witches will be well represented at the 2024 New York Comic Con, with AMC Networks confirming The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and Mayfair Witches panels. This year’s Nycc will take place Thursday, October 17th through Sunday, October 20th at the Javits Center.

AMC’s plans include a screening of the first episode of Mayfair Witches season two as well as the World Dub premiere of Hidive’s DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, and a horror-centric panel hosted by Shudder. AMC Networks has named its first Spanish cast for the third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, currently shooting in Spain.

Eduardo Noriega, Oscar Jaenada and Alexandra Masangkay will be series regulars, as they join Candela Saitta and Hugo Arbues in recurring roles. Their casting follows the world-weary Georgia zombie apocalypse survivor-turned-Europe backpacker Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, rambling over to Spain for season three of the successful The Walking Dead spinoff.

That’s a switch from the show’s first and upcoming second seasons, which are set in France. Noriega has had film roles in Thesis, Open Your Eyes, The Wolf, The Devil’s Backbone and Vantage Point.

Jaenada has credits that include Camarón: When Flamenco Became Legend and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Masangkay made her film debut with 1898: The Last of the Philippines and The Platform and also appeared in Código Emperador and most recently Valley of Shadows.

It’s hard to say I am even a fan of The Walking Dead. Initially I only watched the first two seasons and I didn’t enjoy it enough to keep watching. Then after several more seasons, I was offered the chance to review (I think) season seven. And while I enjoyed some of it, once again it didn’t capture my imagination enough to continue to watch it. But now with the spin-offs, I thought I’d give the show another chance.

So why is a good question I guess. A huge epic zombie show still 100% appeals to me but I often thought with The Walking Dead that, because there were so many episodes each season, the quality went up and down so much. I saw The Ones Who Live had just six episodes,...
