The team behind Netflix’s hit Fool Me Once is reuniting for a new series — at a different streamer.

Amazon’s Prime Video has ordered Lazarus, a limited series from Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst. The drama will star Sam Claflin (Daisy Jones & the Six) as a forensic psychologist who returns home after his father’s suicide and becomes entangled in a set of cold case murders. Bill Nighy, playing the lead character’s late father, and Alexandra Roach, as Claflin’s sister, also star.

Lazarus is based on an original idea from best-selling author Coben and Brocklehurst, who are writing the series together. The limited series will be Coben’s second at Prime Video, which ran (and then canceled) Shelter last year.

“Lazarus is a gripping series that captures your attention from the very beginning,” said Heather Curtis, current series executive, pan-English scripted SVOD TV at Amazon MGM Studios.

Last week, The Pink Agenda, a nonprofit committed to raising money for breast cancer research and care, as well as awareness of the disease among young professionals, hosted The Pink Agenda’s Virtual Gala.

The Daleks – well, one single Dalek – returned to Doctor Who on New Year’s Day in the winter special “Resolution.” As the story saw a Dalek creature manufacturing a replacement casing for itself out of scrap metal, the monster had a very different look when it appeared. Along with this one-off redesign, though, the Dalek was also brought to life in a wholly new way that honestly makes it quite a bit scarier.

As Who fans might know, the Daleks have been operated the same way for the past 50 years – a performer sits inside the pepperpot-like villain and controls its movements from within. However, the production team decided to bring the Daleks into the 21st century for “Resolution” and made the creature fully robotic.

Crew member Darren Fereday, who’s part of the art department, revealed on Twitter that everything from the varying sections of the Dalek to its accessories were controlled by robotics.

This year’s Sundance Film Festival will have to make some room for a brand new distributor, as UK-based media fund manager Great Point Media has announced they’re getting jumping into the market, and are planning to release 8-12 titles per year in theaters across the country. Per an official release, the company has already assembled a full slate for 2018, with $10 million in P&A committed to date. The Great Point team will be on the ground at Sundance, scouting possible projects to round out their 2019 slate.

Acquisitions team Sundance-bound to scout for 2019 releases.

Heading into Sundance, London-based Great Point Media is launching a Us distribution arm and has set its first release Submission for March.

Company co-founders Robert Halmi and Jim Reeve plan to release eight to 12 titles a year and have committed $10m in P&A to a full 2018 slate. The acquisitions team will attend Sundance to scout for 2019 releases.

The company has partnered with distribution veterans Mark Urman of Paladin, Jeff Lipsky of Glass Half Full, and Michael Silberman. Commercial manager Matt Stevens oversees the releases from the company’s London office.

Richard Levine’s (Nip/Tuck) Submission is an adaptation of Francine Prose’s novel Blue Angel that stars Stanley Tucci and Kyra Sedgwick. It will open on March 2 in New York and expand a week later into multiple markets.

It’s mathematically impossible for me to hate anything with John Astin in it, which is probably why I have fond memories of watching Return of the Killer Tomatoes a handful of times as a kid. Before it even hit the box office, "Mirror Mirror" was viewed with a critical eye as two Snow White adaptations had announced their release dates a month apart. But with the release of the trailers, it was clear that the two movies were very different. The Tarsem Singh film is a quirky comedy from the vantage point of the Evil Queen (Julia Roberts) over the traditional Snow White (Lily Collins), while "Snow White and the Huntsman" is about the epic battle Snow White (Kristen Stewart) must fight for her life. Unfortunately for those involved in the former, as the reviews pour in, it's obvious the movie is making critics grumpy.

With the destination of the Six Nations Trophy already decided, this was a battle for second place. Like in Cardiff the weather was a bit grim, a sheen of rain lying on the pitch.

The first scrum of the game yielded an immediate penalty for England which Farrell slid over for the three points. It was to be a telling omen for the afternoon.

Ireland’s first chance came after a series of turnovers for both sides ended up in the mitts of Keith Earls, the centre causing the Twickenham crowd to catch their breath with his speed before ignoring the man outside and ending up enveloped in the arms of the covering Ben Foden.

With France on course for a Grand Slam, England travelled to Paris looking to make amends for a narrow loss against Wales in the last round.

With England having made steady progress this tournament, the trip to Paris had been highlighted as the most difficult challenge for Stuart Lancaster’s men in this year’s Six Nations. England started brightly with a break by Lee Dickson, much like Chris Ashton was making last year off the inside shoulder, but there wasn’t the support and the move broke down. An early high, wide and short drop goal from Beauxis when nothing was on gave an indication of what we could expect from the French half backs.

The sight of Dylan Hartley popping up at the first scrum would have worried England scrum coach Graham Rowntree and amissed penalty kick quickly followed by a conceded penalty on the England try line did nothing for English nerves.
