Telugu-language action film “Og,” starring Pawan Kalyan, has unveiled a global theatrical release date. The film is produced by D.V.V. Danayya for Dvv Entertainment, whose previous film, S.S. Rajamouli blockbuster “Rrr,” won an Oscar and a Golden Globe. The film, a gangster epic, has been shot across Mumbai and Hyderabad. It features Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and the cast also includes Prakash Raj, Priyanka Mojan, Arjun Das and Sriya Reddy. Sujeeth is the director. Music is by Thaman S.

Kalyan is a member of the Konidela film family. Megastar Chiranjeevi is his brother and “Rrr” star Ram Charan his nephew. Also a politician, Kalyan is the founder of the Jana Sena Party. Among his films, his recent hits include “Bro” (2023), “Bheemla Nayak” (2022) and “Vakeel Saab” (2021).

The Scottish Doctor Who star also took aim at the Conservative government, describing the UK’s ruling party as “f***wits”.

Partway through Friday’s (3 February) episode of the Channel 4 comedy series, Tennant was asked whether he supported the strikes that have been carried out across various industries, including rail and NHS workers.

“Of course,” Tennant responded. “It’s just the sense that... after everything that’s gone on, through the pandemic, that nurses are having to go on strike to be paid what they’re worth... It makes you want to spit, doesn’t it?”

The “brutal” murder of student Megan Newton will be the subject of Sky’s true crime documentary What the Killer Did Next.

Newton, 18, was raped, strangled, and stabbed nine times by semi-pro footballer Joseph Trevor, her former schoolmate, in 2019.

She had met Trevor by chance at a taxi rank at around 3.30am on 20 April 2019 while on a night out after working a shift at one of her three part-time jobs.

Trevor was intoxicated after consuming drink and drugs and was worried about going home to his parents, Stafford Crown Court heard during the trial.

Newton, a self-described “sports fanatic” who was working towards her level one Fa coaching badge and hoped to win a scholarship in the US, agreed to let him crash at her bedsit on Fletcher Road in Stoke-on-Trent.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has accepted “significant” libel damages over a newspaper story that claimed her role in the popular ITV daytime show had led to a toxic workplace environment.

The former singer, who rose to fame as a member of Irish girl group The Nolans, threatened proceedings against Associated Newspapers over an article published in The Mail on Sunday headlined: “Loose Women at war as stars ‘refuse to work with Coleen Nolan’.”

A press statement said the story, which was published in January this year, “wrongly reported that Coleen’s colleagues had refused to work with her and accused her of being ‘high and mighty behind the scenes’”.

The 57-year-old’s solicitor, Jane Ashford-Thom of Taylor Hampton, said: “The story was false and should never have been published.

“Ms Nolan is on good and professional terms with all panellists and members of the production team of Loose Women.
