‘Naked Gun’ Producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins Talk Greenlight Hurdles and Sequel Possibilities
Image
The Naked Gun has been held up as a bellwether for the viability of studio comedies in the post-pandemic era, and this past weekend, the comedy reboot proved its staying power. The feature, directed by Akiva Schaffer and starring Liam Neeson, dropped just 50 percent in its sophomore outing, bringing its domestic total to $33 million, and its global haul to $56.4 million.

Producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins hope The Naked Gun is the first of a new wave of comedies that will find theatrical audiences.

Outside of Naked Gun, MacFarlane and Huggins-headed Fuzzy Door has a varied slate that runs the gamut from a Peacock series based on the late ’80s horror-comedy The Burbs to a doc on Carl Sagan to MacFarlane’s Frank Sinatra tribute album Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra. MacFarlane says, “To put it this way: You can make spark plugs and breakfast cereals at the same time,...

Ewan McGregor On Filming Iconic Star Wars Duel In The Phantom Menace
Image
Ewan McGregor recently revealed the technical difficulties behind filming the iconic duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul (Ray Park), and Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The 1999 movie marked the first entry in George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy that tells the origin story of Darth Vader.

In The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan rescue Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) and escape to Tatooine, where they discover Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd). They returned to Naboo to fight against the Trade Federation and face Darth Maul in a lightsaber battle. Qui-Gon is fatally injured, and Obi-Wan then defeats Darth Maul.

In an interview with Collider, McGregor broke down the unique way the sequence was filmed. From the point when Qui-Gon was injured, everything went "up a notch." They were going so fast that Lucas had to "overcrank" the camera so that the playback would be a slowed-down version,...

Pamela Anderson loves all things with a ‘p’, having starred in Playboy, Pauly Shore Is Dead, Pamela’s Cooking with Love (the Pnaked Pgun?), and is now releasing her own brand of pickles. Why not?

From starring on the big screen with her new Naked Gun paramour Liam Neeson, to maintaining six vegetable gardens and cooking plant-based meals in her Vancouver Island home, everything’s been coming up...

A Ton of ‘Naked Gun’ Jokes Ended Up on the Cutting Room Floor
Image
One of the best things about the new Naked Gun reboot, starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson and (to a lesser extent) “Weird Al” Yankovic, is its mercifully lean running time.

The movie is just 85 minutes long, meaning that you could fit in two screenings of The Naked Gun in less than the time it would take to watch all of Titanic. And unlike Neeson and Anderson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet couldn’t even be bothered to fall in love in real life.

Director Akiva Schaffer recently revealed that, while the plan was always to make a compact comedy, he intentionally shot an excess amount of footage knowing that most of it would end up on the cutting room floor — and this strategy nearly upended their plans to include a cameo from one of the franchise’s few legacy cast members.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Schaffer explained that the reboot...

The Naked Gun Worldwide Box Office: Paramount’s Reboot Recovers Budget But Fails To Hit Big Theatrical Milestones

The Naked Gun Reboot: Box Office Recovers Budget But Misses Big Theatrical Milestones (Photo Credit – Instagram)

The Naked Gun reboot arrived with strong reviews last week but has not taken off at the box office like Paramount hoped. Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson lead the cast in this new take on the classic franchise that began with Leslie Nielsen’s hit trilogy. This trilogy came from the old Police Squad TV show, so the story is not new, yet that familiarity has not drawn in crowds as much as expected.

The Naked Gun was So Good.

It’s non-stop blink and you miss it jokes & it never tries to be anything more than really fucking funny.

I know you’re tempted to wait and catch this one at home, but trust me – you don’t remember how good it feels to see a real comedy in a theater. pic.twitter.

Was Stallone Lying? What Happened Between Sylvester Stallone and Pamela Anderson
Image
Pamela Anderson claims Sylvester Stallone once offered her a luxury condo, a Porsche, and the title of his “number 1 girl.” Stallone says the story is false. But is he lying? As the actress just doubled down! The allegation, which first appeared in Anderson’s 2023 Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, has now resurfaced during her press tour for The Naked Gun, reigniting a decades-old “did-he-or-did-he-not” debate between the Baywatch icon and the Rocky legend.

In the documentary, Anderson recounts meeting Stallone, and him allegedly proposing a high-end arrangement, which she claimed she declined, telling him she was looking for love, not perks. However, Stallone’s team, since then, has immediately denied the claim, calling it “false and fabricated”, which the actress has now publicly challenged.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Anderson has now laughed off his denial. Her comment has naturally reignited speculation online, with fans...

Neeson Naked Gun Reboot Is a Hit — But Likely His Last
Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr. in The Naked Gun from Paramount Pictures.

The box-office surprise of the year, the Naked Gun reboot starring Liam Neeson has delivered laughs, nostalgia, and strong reviews. Yet, according to the actor, this Neeson Naked Gun reboot may also mark the end of his time with the beloved spoof franchise.

Opening to impressive worldwide ticket sales, the film has quickly become one of the most talked-about comedies in years. Critics praise its blend of slapstick gags and clever callbacks to the original trilogy. It’s clear this Liam Neeson Naked Gun revival has struck a chord with both longtime fans and newcomers who are discovering the franchise for the first time.

This Naked Gun revival also shows how the right creative team can breathe fresh life into a decades-old property without losing what made it special and beloved.

Beyond the laughs, the reboot has...

Final Destination 7? Yes. Naked Gun 2? Don’t hold your breath
Image
Warner Bros wants Final Destination 7, Liam Neeson is less keen on the idea of The Naked Gun 2 – more on both here.

2025 is proving to be a very good year for box office returns, and a couple of returning franchises are amongst the contributors to that.

Earlier this year, the reasonably well received Final Destination Bloodlines resurrected that particular franchise, and also delivered the best box office returns in the series to date. With nearly $300m banked off a $50m-ish budget, it comes as a surprise to nobody that death continues to make plans.

Final Destination 7 – as it absolutely won’t be called – is pressing ahead at Warner Bros, with Lori Evans Taylor hired to pen the script. They co-wrote Final Destination: Bloodlines, although it’s unclear as of yet if directors Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky are also set to return. Can’t imagine Warner Bros hanging about on the film though,...

John Belushi's Final Role On A Leslie Nielsen Series Is Impossible To Watch Now
Image
Before his untimely death in 1982, John Belushi was set to appear on the hilarious Leslie Nielsen TV series that spawned the Naked Gun movies. A comedy icon, Belushi made his name on the late-night show "Saturday Night Live," which marked his first televised appearance with comedy partner Dan Aykroyd. Out of their time together on "SNL," the two developed the Blues Brothers characters, as whom they released a chart-topping platinum album and the comedy movie, "The Blues Brothers." Belushi was also known for his roles in movies such as "Animal House," Amblin Entertainment's debut feature "Continental Divide," and "Neighbors."

A credit Belushi never ultimately received was for an appearance on "Police Squad!" This cult classic comedy series, created by the legendary trio of Jim Abrahams and brothers David and Jerry Zucker, only ran for six episodes before it was canceled by ABC. While network executives apparently didn't appreciate the series' non-stop quickfire humor,...

‘Final Destination 7’ Set at New Line as Studio Enjoys ‘Weapons’ Success
Image
The bloodline was not the “Final Destination” after all. On August 8, New Line and Warner Bros. announced (via Variety) that “Final Destination 7” is officially in the works, complete with “Final Destination: Bloodlines” co-writer Lori Evans Taylor on board. Also returning are producers Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich. Warren Zide will serve as executive producer.

The news comes as the studio has yet another horror hit on their hands with “Weapons,” the latest from “Barbarian” director Zach Cregger. In its opening weekend, “Weapons” amassed an estimated $42.5 million at the domestic box office, an impressive debut for a movie that cost $38 million. Similarly, “Bloodlines” opened to $51.7 million in May off a $50 million budget. As of August 10, that movie has gone on to tally over $138 million in North America and $285 million worldwide, bringing in a gigantic franchise haul for the New Line devision of Warner Bros.

Why Liam Neeson Replaced Daniel Day-Lewis In Martin Scorsese's Silence
Image
Although Martin Scorsese is perhaps most notable for his crime films, another theme he likes to explore is religion. Raised in a predominantly Catholic environment, religion influenced his sense of craft, with "Mean Streets," "Raging Bull," "Goodfellas, "Casino," and "The Departed," among others, featuring characters grappling with their religious convictions. However, some of Scorsese's movies have explored spirituality on a deeper level, among them "The Last Temptation of Christ," "Kundun," and his underrated 2016 drama "Silence."

Based on the 1966 novel of the same name by Japanese author Shūsaku Endō, "Silence" is set in the 17th century and follows two Jesuit priests, Sebastião Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) and Francisco Garupe (Adam Driver), as they travel from Portugal to Japan to find their mentor, Cristóvão Ferreira (Liam Neeson), while spreading Christianity throughout the region. A longtime passion project for Scorsese, this film was his follow-up to perhaps his most profane and explicit movie,...

Weapons and Freakier Friday dominated the box office this weekend, showing that horror and comedy can still bring in huge crowds. Weapons, from Warner Bros., took the top spot with a $42.5 million opening. Disney’s Freakier Friday followed closely with $29 million, and together Weapons and Freakier Friday knocked a superhero blockbuster off its throne.

The strong debut for Weapons and Freakier Friday marks another high point in an already impressive summer. Warner Bros., already boosted by hits like A Minecraft Movie and Superman, can now count Weapons as another win. Directed by Zach Cregger, the $38 million horror film stars Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. Its box office success proves that original horror stories still have the power to lead the race.

Box Office: Weapons & Freakier Friday Overtake Fantastic Four, One Film Dominates
Image
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been batted down from No. 1 to No. 3 by the new releases Weapons and Freakier Friday, while one of the incoming titles emerges as the overall leader of the weekend. Fantastic Four is the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has topped the domestic chart for two consecutive weekends.

After the MCU movie suffered a sharp 66% drop in its second weekend, it became clear that it would cede its perch at the top of the chart during its third weekend. However, for quite some time it seemed like the new Zach Cregger horror movie Weapons and the Disney legacy sequel Freakier Friday were neck and neck for No. 1.

Per Variety, as of Sunday morning, Weapons has emerged as the clear victor of the weekend at the domestic box office with a projected 3-day debut of $42 million. Freakier Friday has fallen considerably behind with...

Box Office: ‘Weapons’ Impresses With $42.5 Million Debut, ‘Freakier Friday’ Starts Strong With $29 Million Opening
Image
“Weapons,” a twisty horror film about a group of missing children, and “Freakier Friday,” a body swap comedy, delivered a potent one-two punch at the box office this weekend, lifting ticket sales as summer movie season draws to a close.

The films captured the top two spots on the charts, with “Weapons” debuting to $42.5 million and “Freakier Friday” premiering to $29 million. Last weekend’s champ, Disney and Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” surrendered its box office crown, earning $15.5 million in its third weekend of release for a third place finish. After starting strong with a $117.6 million bow, “Fantastic Four” has plummeted in subsequent weekends, falling more than 67% in its sophomore frame and another 60% over the past weekend. The superhero film has grossed $230 million domestically and will likely earn less money than “Superman,” the latest comic book adaptation from its rival DC Films.

“Weapons” extends a hot streak for Warner Bros.,...

Liam Neeson Showed Up In A Chuck Norris Action Thriller Before His Rise To Fame
Image
Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus were the schlock filmmaking gods of the 1980s. Through The Cannon Group, they churned out exploitation movies that consistently, and shamelessly, delivered on the promise of gratuitous violence, even more gratuitous nudity, and production values that were generally above and beyond what you'd expect from, say, a movie that starred Lucinda Dickey as an aerobics instructor possessed by a ninja. Occasionally, they'd even make a film with a master filmmaker, because what they really wanted was to be taken seriously in Hollywood. This is how we got Jean-Luc Godard's "King Lear," Barbet Schroeder's "Barfly," and Andrei Konchalovsky's "Runaway Train."

Nevertheless, Golan-Globus knew their brand, and they kept multiplexes stocked with competently directed action movies starring Chuck Norris, Sho Kosugi, and Charles Bronson with a fat paycheck sticking out of his jacket pocket. These might've been ridiculous films, but they were real and...

The Naked Gun Reboot Surpasses $33 Million at Box Office in Under Two Weeks
Image
The Naked Gun reboot is proving that big-screen comedy still has life left in it. Starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, the new installment was released on August 1 and marks Paramount’s final release under its old leadership, as the studio’s acquisition by Skydance was officially closed earlier this week.

The Naked Gun stars Neeson as wacky cop Frank Drebin Jr., serving as both a reboot and a legacy sequel to the original film trilogy, which starred Airplane's Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin. The Naked Gun release kicked off with a $16.8 million debut that marked the second-best opening weekend for the franchise.

Now, per Variety's report, the Paramount release earned an additional $2.3 million on Friday and is expected to earn $8.4 million over the weekend. This marks a 50% drop from its opening weekend, a fairly standard decline for comedies. The Naked Gun's domestic total is expected to hit $33 million...

Liam Neeson's Worst-Rated Movie On IMDb Is A Sequel To A Netflix Action Hit
Image
Liam Neeson has three movies in IMDb's top 250, which is an accomplishment worth celebrating. Outside of starring in flicks that many movie buffs regard as some of the greatest of all time, however, his general output is pretty good. His "old man Neeson" era has produced a slew of action gems, and his performance in "The Naked Gun" remake was critically acclaimed, proving that the beloved comedy franchise can continue without Leslie Nielsen and the gang. Neeson is a reliable hand, and he has a strong track record for producing hits, but he's also starred in some turds — and said turds have produced even worse sequels.

In 2021, Neeson starred in Jonathan Hensleigh's "The Ice Road," a Netflix action-thriller about some truckers who set out to save a group of people after they get stuck in a diamond mine. Neeson's character, Mike McCann, is the punch-happy driver tasked with leading the dangerous rescue mission,...

Liam Neeson Reveals If The Naked Gun Will Get a Sequel After Stellar Rotten Tomatoes Score
Image
Liam Neeson broke his silence on the prospect of a sequel to The Naked Gun reboot, and it seems they won’t be sticking around for another entry in the franchise. In an interview with Newsweek, Neeson added:

I think it’s probably a one-off.

While the reboot had some big shoes to fill, given the rarity of pure comedies in the current IP-driven climate, the movie has passed with flying colors, as it currently sits on an 89% Rt score from 266 reviews.

But despite its critical prowess, which is rare when it comes to legacy sequels to decades-old revered movies, it could be one of its kind by not banking on a sequel after its success.

The Naked Gun Reboot Is Most Likely a One-Time Gag

Seth MacFarlane The Naked Gun – Why He Cast Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr. in The Naked Gun from Paramount Pictures. © 2025 Paramount Pictures. All Rights Reserved

Seth MacFarlane’s The Naked Gun reboot is one of the most ambitious projects of his career, bringing back the beloved comedy franchise for a new generation.

The original starred Leslie Nielsen as the hilariously deadpan Detective Frank Drebin. The Naked Gun films became cult classics thanks to outrageous sight gags, slapstick humor, and clever wordplay. Rebooting such a fan favorite was always going to be tricky. MacFarlane knew the secret was to respect the original while making it fresh for today’s audience.

He surrounded himself with a top-notch creative team behind the camera and searched for the perfect lead in front of it. Rather than cast a traditional comedy star, MacFarlane chose Liam Neeson, an Oscar-nominated actor best known for powerful dramas like Schindler’s List and action hits such as Taken.

Luke Speakman in Weapons (2025)
Box Office: ‘Weapons’ Winning With $18.2 Million Opening Day, ‘Freakier Friday’ in Second With $12.7 Million
Luke Speakman in Weapons (2025)
“Weapons” has the upper hand in its box office duel against “Freakier Friday,” though both new releases are drawing strong openings as the summer tentpole season begins to wind down.

Opening on top, Warner Bros. and New Line’s “Weapons” added $18.2 million across Friday and preview screenings from 3,202 locations. The film has Imax and most premium large format auditoriums. Select screenings began Thursday afternoon at 2:17 pm, to match a key time that spurs the story — the hour when a group of children all awaken at once and mysteriously disappear. The movie sports an ensemble cast including Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.

The horror now looks to come in well ahead of its pre-weekend projections, which had topped out around $30 million. That’s a great start for the R-rated original, which carries a production budget of $38 million. It’s also a huge...

Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Parent Trap’ Nemesis Elaine Hendrix on ‘Special Experience’ of Reuniting in ‘Freakier Friday’
Image
“Freakier Friday” is chalk full of Easter eggs for devoted fans — it’s actually, essentially, a Russian nesting doll of winks and nudges, particularly when it comes to cameo returns from some of Hollywood’s favorite character actors. Stephen Tobolowsky is back manning detention. Both Rosalind Chao and Lucille Soong appear, too, reprising their roles from “Freaky Friday” as Chinese restaurant owners. There’s a pair of “SNL” favorites, Vanessa Bayer and Chloe Fineman, in supporting parts. The hilarious Sherry Cola is an announcer at the pickleball game.

But the real cameo highlight is undoubtedly Elaine Hendrix as Blake Kale. In the movie, she’s an editor at Rolling Stone. Fans, however, know that she’s also Meredith Blake, the supposed antagonist (there’s some debate) in 1998’s “The Parent Trap,” starring — ding, ding, ding — Lindsay Lohan as identical twins Annie and Hallie in her film debut.

Blake (the 1998 one...

Freakier Friday Director Nisha Ganatra Teases Potential Third Installment

What better way to learn to get along than to wake up in someone else's body? This time around, there's a quadruple body swap involved, as Harper and Lily wake up in Anna and Tess' (Curtis) bodies, respectively.

Liam Neeson and David Harbour's 'A Walk Among the Tomstones' Is a Sleeper Streaming Hit
Image
On the big screen he's in slapstick action as Frank Drebin Jr. in The Naked Gun, but Liam Neeson is also making streaming waves with a forgotten but surprisingly stacked thriller.A Walk Among the Tombstones, a 2014 psychological crime drama based on Lawrence Block’s novel series, has quietly climbed its way to #8 on Paramount+ — a decade after its release and years after its modest $58 million box office run. The film stars Neeson as Matthew Scudder, a former NYPD detective turned unlicensed private investigator who is hired by a drug trafficker to track down the men who brutally murdered his wife. What follows is a bleak, haunting thriller that leans into noir vibes and psychological tension over pure action spectacle — a tonal shift from Neeson’s more well-known hits like Taken or The Commuter.

Part of the resurgence likely comes from the film’s surprisingly impressive supporting cast. Godzilla x...

Liam Neeson Discusses Possibility Of Another Naked Gun Movie After Reboot Success
Image
Action star Liam Neeson discusses the possibility of making another Naked Gun movie. This long-running comedy franchise began with the 1982 series Police Squad!, starring Leslie Nielsen as incompetent Detective Frank Drebin. Nielsen reprised his role for the 1988 feature film The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! along with its two sequels.

The Naked Gun returned this year after a multi-decade hiatus as a reboot starring Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Nielsen's late character. Neeson's Frank is joined by Pamela Anderson, who plays Beth Davenport, the sister of a man whose murder Frank is trying to solve.

Per Newsweek, Neeson discussed the possibility of making a fifth overall The Naked Gun movie after this reboot film. While Neeson spoke highly of his experience working on The Naked Gun, he noted that he "think[s] it's a one-off." Check out the full quote from Neeson below:

'Superman' Aims to Overtake Henry Cavill's Most Divisive Movie at the Box Office This Weekend
Image
Last weekend, the latest MCU entry, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, led by Pedro Pascal, might've finished as the highest-grossing film, but it severely underperformed on its second weekend as signs of weakness began to show. That left the door open for impressive debuts for both The Bad Guys 2 and Liam Neeson's reboot of The Naked Gun, as well as other current theatrical mainstays performing positively.

One such positive performer on its fourth weekend was Superman, directed by James Gunn, which had its lowest weekend-to-weekend percentage drop of its theatrical run so far. Now, this coming weekend, the David Corenswet-led movie is predicted to perform well yet again, with a particular milestone on the movie's mind. At the domestic box office, Superman currently has a $322 million haul, which places it just $8 million behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the 2016 superhero movie that saw Henry Cavill's...

Jurassic World Rebirth Worldwide Box Office: Nears $800M As Universal Fast-Tracks Home Release After Mixed Reviews
Image
Jurassic World Rebirth Heading Towards $800 Million Amid Home Release? ( Photo Credit – YouTube )

Jurassic World Rebirth arrived on home video a little over a month after hitting theaters. Universal has a habit of shifting its theatrical windows depending on the title, sometimes moving films to PVOD quickly, as seen with The Fall Guy, while giving others, like Oppenheimer, a long run on the big screen.

The timing here probably suggests two things: the studio knows the film will not reach the $1 billion milestone, and it feels the current earnings are solid enough to make the early release worthwhile. The movie currently stands at a collection of $770 million worldwide, per Box Office Mojo.

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun (2025)
Liam Neeson doesn’t see The Naked Gun 5 in the lineup
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun (2025)
Worldwide, The Naked Gun will have recouped its $42 million budget by its second weekend. And with the movie being one of the best-reviewed of the year and generating a refreshed interest in slapstick comedy, we have to wonder if there will be a Naked Gun 5. But from the files of Liam Neeson, that seems unlikely.

Liam Neeson recently told Newsweek that The Naked Gun 5 isn’t in the cards, no matter how well it fares at the box office. “I think it’s a one-off, yeah. And if it succeeds, good.”

While those that have dug The Naked Gun so far might be disheartened to hear Neeson shoot down the idea for The Naked Gun 5, he has a point that we have to celebrate it doing so well with audiences. Hell, even David Zucker – who co-created the original series and has been the most vocal opponent of the fourth movie – has championed its success.

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun (2025)
The Naked Gun director took visual inspiration from one particular James Bond movie
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun (2025)
During the pandemic, The Naked Gun director Akiva Schaffer watched a lot of action movies with his friend Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (Ready or Not), including a rewatch of the entire James Bond franchise. In a recent episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers podcast, Schaffer explained that one Bond movie in particular helped shape the visual style of his Naked Gun movie.

“You know what movie I kind of — not discovered, but that I realized was like the perfect sweet spot — was Tomorrow Never Dies,” Schaffer said. “Me and Matt watched every James Bond movie in order, and when it got to Tomorrow Never Dies, it was like the old way jumped forward — it became a modern movie. Like even the surround sound on my TV came alive. And all those movies were shot on 35 millimeter, but before you could color time them in a computer and crush all the blacks,...

Liam Neeson's New Comedy Movie Becomes His Highest-Grossing Movie Of This Decade
Image
The Naked Gun has broken a major record for its Oscar-nominated star Liam Neeson. The new movie, which stars Neeson as wacky cop Frank Drebin Jr., acts as both reboot and legacy sequel to the original film trilogy, which starred Airplane's Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin.

The Naked Gun release kicked off on August 1 with a $16.8 million debut that marked the second-best opening weekend for the franchise. This total also saw the movie earn the best 3-day premiere gross for a movie led by Liam Neeson in 10 years, since the 2015 debut of Taken 3.

Per The Numbers, The Naked Gun has now reached a worldwide box office total of $32.9 million, comprising a $21.4 million domestic gross and $11.5 million from international markets. Ben Affleck's Armageddon Is Quietly Dominating the Streaming Charts
Image
A new challenger has entered the Top 10 on MGM+. Ben Affleck's 1998 sci-fi disaster film Armageddon has arrived on the streaming charts.

According to FlixPatrol, as of Aug. 7, Armageddon is ranked No. 10 on MGM+'s Top 10 Overall chart in the United States. Much like the asteroid in the movie, Armageddon has burst onto the streaming chart and will now try to climb up the ranks as a worthy group of hit shows and movies try to stop its climb. First in Armageddon's path is Jason Statham's 2024 sleeper hit The Beekeeper at No. 9, followed by the fan-favorite '80s buddy cop movie Lethal Weapon at No. 8 and Jack Quaid's action-comedy Novocaine at No. 7. Luckily for Armageddon, Lethal Weapon and Novocaine are down from where they were yesterday, which suggests that they may be on their way off the streaming chart.

Three of the final six streaming hits on...
