Days’ Abigail Klein Turns Robert Scott Wilson’s Work Entrance Into Must-See Content
Image
Things are heating up for Stephanie and Alex on Days of Our Lives as the publication of her steamy romance novel nears. Alex has had full faith in the fact that her book is going to be a huge hit, but she worries that if her real name gets out, past boyfriends might recognize some scenes in it. But Alex has been doing a great job working at Titan-dimera, and it’s clear that Robert Scott Wilson is enjoying his work on the show. A recent video appeared on social media that highlighted a fun behind-the-scenes sequence.

The Fun Begins

“Robert Scott Wilson takes you behind the scenes in a day in his life…but there’s a twist!” was written on the Days official Instagram page. Along with that was a fun video, narrated by Stephanie’s portrayer, Abigail Klein. It began with Wilson waking up, getting ready, and leaving his home,...

‘Naked Gun’ Producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins Talk Greenlight Hurdles and Sequel Possibilities
Image
The Naked Gun has been held up as a bellwether for the viability of studio comedies in the post-pandemic era, and this past weekend, the comedy reboot proved its staying power. The feature, directed by Akiva Schaffer and starring Liam Neeson, dropped just 50 percent in its sophomore outing, bringing its domestic total to $33 million, and its global haul to $56.4 million.

Producers Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins hope The Naked Gun is the first of a new wave of comedies that will find theatrical audiences.

Outside of Naked Gun, MacFarlane and Huggins-headed Fuzzy Door has a varied slate that runs the gamut from a Peacock series based on the late ’80s horror-comedy The Burbs to a doc on Carl Sagan to MacFarlane’s Frank Sinatra tribute album Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra. MacFarlane says, “To put it this way: You can make spark plugs and breakfast cereals at the same time,...

Highlander | Dave Bautista to play villain in the reboot
Image
The Highlander reboot appears to have its villain, as word gets out that Dave Bautista could play Kurgan in Chad Stahelski’s new film.

Almost 30 years on from the 1986 original, Highlander is getting a remake courtesy of John Wick director Chad Stahelski. Filming is said to be getting underway this autumn, and it sounds as though the production has slotted in a major piece in its casting puzzle: Dave Bautista is said to be in talks to star as the villain according to Deadline.

Assuming the meetings and form signing all go off without a hitch, this means Bautista will play The Kurgan – the towering, bloodthirsty villain played with wild-eyed relish by Clancy Brown in the first film. He’ll do battle over the centuries with Henry Cavill’s fellow immortal, Connor MacCleod (previously played by Christopher Lambert), while Russell Crowe will replace Sean Connery as the flamboyant mentor, Ramirez.

How Liam Neeson Singing Was Added To The Naked Gun Reboot Last Minute
Image
The Naked Gun franchise is known for its slapstick humor, clever gags, and memorable characters, and the latest reboot is certainly following suit. Starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, The Naked Gun has already generated buzz for its hilarious sequences and surprises, earning an impressive 90% Tomatometer and 76% Popcornmeter onRotten Tomatoes.

However, perhaps the most surprising moment for the action crime comedy comes during The Naked Gun'send credits with a cameo from Liam Neeson. In a move that caught many fans off guard, Neeson, as Frank Drebin Jr., serenades his love interest, Beth Davenport (Anderson), by singing a heartfelt, quirky ballad titled "My Sweet Beth."

According to director Akiva Schaffer (via Entertainment Weekly), the song was actually a "last-minute idea" that was brought to life as the film was nearing completion. The director stated that he felt something was missing from the final edit of The Naked Gun, saying: "I always...

Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts’ Massive Age-Gap: How Did The Naked Gun Star End Up Dating the Oscar Winner?
Image
Liam Neeson, the actor famous for his powerful leading action hero roles, has had many flings, girlfriends, and partners over the years. So has Julia Roberts, the Pretty Woman, who has numerous major accolades to her name. But did you know that these two very A-listers even reportedly dated each other at one point in time?

As surprising as it seems, the rumor mill really had it hard when reports of the two being romantically linked surfaced. But while that’s that, the more perplexing part is the massive age gap between the two of 15 years.

Here’s how: The Naked Gun actor was born on June 7, decades ago back in 1952. The Notting Hill actress, on the other hand, was born on 28 October 1967. This makes the age difference between them around fifteen years, which is even more baffling because when they were reported to have started dating, Roberts was only...

Image
Name a heist comedy with a stacked cast full of stars. If Ocean's Eleven isn't your first answer, try again. ‘Ocean’s 11’ Prequel Taps Director Behind Hit 75% Rotten Tomatoes Legacy Sequel
Image
Warner Bros. is gearing up for another high-stakes job — and they’ve found the man to pull it off. Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind Minari and the recent box office hit Twisters, is in talks to direct the upcoming Ocean’s 11 prequel, according to a report by Deadline. Produced by LuckyChap and based on a script by Carrie Solomon, the new film is still in early development, and — in true Ocean’s fashion — plot details are being kept tightly under wraps. No cast deals are in place, and the studio is staying silent on whether the project will tie directly to the George Clooney-led trilogy or the all-female spin-off led by Sandra Bullock. What we do know: this marks a stylish shift in direction for the franchise, with Chung bringing his signature visual poetry and character-driven storytelling to a brand synonymous with charm, slick pacing, and big ensemble energy.

Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Series Never Respected The Riddler, and Their Next Game Should Fix That
Image
The entire Batman Arkham series had some of the best villains that twisted the psychological morale of the Dark Knight countless times. Out of all the names, the Riddler is a prominent adversary that shows up in the franchise several times until he finally gets caught in Arkham Knight. The riddles, the hidden trophies, and all the Riddlerbots, everything justified the level of challenge a psychomaniac, yet genius villain can put.

Despite the formidable presence of Riddler in the Batman Arkham games, he wasn’t shown as a serious threat. Instead, he was more of a sideshow that was necessary to deal with in order to reach the 240% completion mark. Quite literally, the Riddler deserved to be shown as a bigger opponent and not just another side boss.

The Riddler Was Merely a Side Character in the Batman Arkham Series

Just like Deathstroke, the culmination of the Riddler’s storyline...

Breaking Baz: ‘Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern On Saying Goodbye To Lady Cora And Chronicling Ava Gardner On Stage
Image
Exclusive: Elizabeth McGovern is fired up when she talks about sensuous silver screen goddess Ava Gardner, whom the Downton Abbey star portrays in a stage show that hits New York next week. Gardner, she argues, endured the “objectification of the female body, which is the basis of the entire movie business.”

Being a movie star in the 1940s, 1950s and into the ’60s took its toll on Gardner, who escaped her mink-lined cage in California to spend her final years in England residing in a grand apartment close to Harrods’ department store.

Ava: The Secret Conversations, beginning at New York’s City Center on July 29, is based on a series of tapes the writer Peter Evans recorded with the one-time screen siren in London over a four-year period beginning in 1988 which he then had published in 2013, more than two decades after Gardner’s death in 1990.

The show moves to Chicago...

Image
Stars: Rosanna Arquette, Vincent Spano, Tracy Pollan, Matthew Modine, Robert Downey Jr. | Written and Directed by John Sayles

You have probably heard the statement ‘You can’t help who you fall in love with’. Sometimes you just can’t help it! Even Elvis sang about this with his classic song ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love with You’. You probably heard ‘girls love the bad boys’. A lot of times, this is true. There have been many romantic films about those kinds of love stories.

In 1983, Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and director John Sayles Passion Fish (1992) and Lone Star (1996), helmed the romantic comedy-drama Baby It’s You. And now Fun City Editions, who have been releasing some great Blu-rays like Party Girl, Falling in Love, and Breaking Glass, have released Sayles’ rom-com, giving it its time to shine on Blu-ray!

Jill (Rosanna Arquette) is headed for college. Sheik’s a drop-out,...

‘High Society’ 4K Uhd Review (Warner Archive)
Image
Stars: Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, John Lund, Frank Sinatra, Celeste Holm, Louis Armstrong | Written by John Patrick, Philip Barry | Directed by Charles Walters

In 1940, a trio of future Hollywood Legends would come together to put to screen a romantic comedy that would be forever regarded as one of the greatest romcoms ever. Of course, I am talking about The Philadelphia Story. Just a short 16 years later, in 1956, MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) decided to remake the classic, but with an interesting twist. They decided to hire two of the most popular crooners and a future princess and rename the films High Society.

Next year (2026), High Society will be celebrating its 70th anniversary. But before we get to that date, Warner Archive Collection have restored and released this classic musical on 4k/Blu-ray combo pack.

Legendary Louis Armstrong as himself, plays his trumpet and narrates in prose and song the peccadillos of his songwriter friend C.

Prince Harry In Crisis: Trust Gone, Funds Dwindling, No Way Back
Image
Royal commentator Neil Sean delivered an alarming analysis in his By Royal Appointment segment on Daily News Headlines on Thursday, revealing Prince Harry’s distress as his post-royal life unravels. Sean painted a stark picture of the Duke of Sussex’s challenges, incusing his plummeting celebrity status, financial woes, and fractured ties with the monarchy.

‘A Cruel Reality’ – Harry’s Public Unraveling

Sean previously discussed Harry’s emotional appearance at the Invictus Games, where the prince, trained to “not show emotions in public,” was visibly struggling. “This wasn’t about Invictus,” Sean asserted. “It was a cruel reality dawning on him: court cases, security battles, and the desperate scramble to keep money coming in”

Harry and Meghan lost popularity – Daily Headline News – YouTube-

The commentator highlighted Harry’s alleged regret over cutting ties with the monarchy, contrasting him with the Duke of Windsor, who “was savvier as he didn’t burn all bridges.

Interview: Elizabeth McGovern on Embodying a Screen Legend in ‘Ava: The Secret Conversations’
Image
This summer at the New York City Center, Elizabeth McGovern will evoke the glamour of Golden Age Hollywood in Ava: The Secret Conversations as screen legend Ava Gardner. McGovern herself wrote the play, which is based on the 2013 biography The Secret Conversations by Gardner and Peter Evans. The book is stitched together from conversations that Evans had with the screen star between 1988 and 1990, the year of her death.

The play explores the unusual and often prickly collaboration between Gardner and Evans, whom she hired to ghostwrite her memoir. Though Gardner pulled the plug on the project before its completion, Evans eventually published their conversations in 2013, alongside his reflections on their sessions. Directed by Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel, the production also stars Aaron Costa Gannis as Evans. In addition to playing the journalist, Gannis channels Gardner’s three famous husbands: Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw, and Frank Sinatra.

McGovern, who made...

14 Failed Nepo Babies Who Were Born on Third Base and Couldn’t Hit a Triple

To be fair, I’d probably lose my job and disappoint my father if I set out to write a “celebration of fly white boys who love beautiful queens of every race,” too.

14 Tom Hanks’ Failson

Tragically, the “scared straight”-style wilderness intervention he was subjected to as a teen didn’t take, and Chet Hanks has achieved only infamy in his decades-long struggle for pop-culture relevance. His song “White Boy Summer” is the closest he’s gotten so far, but the intended “celebration of fly white boys who love beautiful queens of every race” has turned into more of a white privilege/white pride anthem.

13 Tom Hanks’ Failniece

Video: Elizabeth McGovern Explains What Ava: The Secret Conversations Is All About
Image
Elizabeth McGovern is returning to the New York stage for the first time in nearly a decade in Ava: The Secret Conversations- a new play that she also wrote. The production, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel and produced by Karl Sydow, will also feature Aaron Costa Ganis. What's it all about? At the height of the Golden Age of Cinema, starlet Ava Gardner sat for a series of interviews with writer Peter Evans for him to glean the juicy details about her life story, her marriages to Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw, and Frank Sinatra, and her turbulent relationship to Howard Hughes. Initially barred from publication, Evans’ account of a bygone era was published twenty-five years later with permission from Gardner’s estate and is now reimagined on stage. "These conversations are...

Jennifer Lawrence Once Faced “Punishment” For Speaking Up On Set — The Disturbing Behind-The-Scenes Truth Will Shock You

Jennifer Lawrence Once Called Out A Director & Faced Career Threats In Return (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Jennifer Lawrence stood her ground, and Hollywood didn’t take it well. At a time when most actors still played it safe to protect their careers, Lawrence pushed back against a director’s inappropriate behavior. What followed wasn’t support or accountability. It was a warning.

While speaking at The Hollywood Reporter’s Actress Roundtable, Lawrence revealed she was once punished for calling out a director on set. She alluded, “I finally made the decision to stand up for myself, and then I went to go to the bathroom at work and one of the producers stopped me and was like, ‘You know, we can hear you on the microphone, you’ve been really unruly’,” the Oscar winner said. She continued, “Which was not true, but basically my job was threatened because the director said...

Why Steven Spielberg Ditched Jaws 2 & The Surprising Prequel Pitch He Left Behind
Image
Steven Spielberg Ditched Jaws 2 (Photo Credit – Wikipedia)

Steven Spielberg changed cinema forever when Jaws hit theaters in 1975. It turned beach trips into second thoughts for millions and gave birth to what we now call the summer blockbuster. Now, with its 50th anniversary this year, people are once again diving into the film, not just the original but the sequels too.

Why Jaws 2 Was Made Without Steven Spielberg

Among the sequels, Jaws 2 stands out. It is not because it was great, but because it’s the least bad. It brought back Roy Scheider’s Chief Brody, another shark, and a new director, Jeannot Szwarc. However, the most famous name from the first film was missing as Steven Spielberg didn’t return, and there’s a lot more behind that than some simple refusal.

The iconic director became a force in Hollywood when Jaws exploded at the box office and took home Oscars.

Image
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Big Screen Comeback ( Photo Credit – Flickr )

The second season of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s spy action-comedy series Fubar premiered earlier this month on Netflix. Although many fans were excited to watch the Terminator star on the small screen, the show didn’t find favor with several critics. Overall, it has a modest 48% Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score. His last theatrical release was Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), which unfortunately underperformed at the box office, falling short of expectations.

The Film That Could Be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Big Screen Comeback

It looks like the iconic action hero is still searching for the perfect project that can be his true big-screen comeback. And we might just have the perfect idea. No, it’s not another Terminator or Predator sequel (we’ve had plenty of those). What we’d really love is to see the legendary bodybuilder-turned-actor reunite with Oscar-nominated director Paul Verhoeven for...

The Godfather Feud: Why Frank Sinatra Hated The Iconic Film & Tried To Stop It
Image
Why Frank Sinatra Tried to Shut Down The Godfather Before It Was Even Made ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

The Godfather might be Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece, but it didn’t land well with everyone. Apparently, popular late musician Frank Sinatra, of all people and for reasons still not fully clear, despised the project.

It was long before the film became the benchmark for mob movies that Sinatra had already decided it had no place in Hollywood. He hated it to such an extent that he tried hard to stop the screenplay from being written and kept a close watch on the people involved.

Frank Sinatra’s Feud With Mario Puzo Over The Godfather

Mario Puzo, who penned the original novel, became one of Sinatra’s angry targets. At a Hollywood restaurant one time, things got out of hand when the singer learned about the film adaptation. He exploded and was...

Yes, summertime is here, which means it’s time to watch summery content with the lights off and the shades drawn. So over on Reddit, Simpsons fans have been sharing their picks for the best episodes that contain a “summer vibe.”

New Twist in JFK-Marilyn Monroe Affair Story Is Fascinating
Image
A new biography, JFK: Public, Private, Secret by J. Randy Taraborrelli, reveals that Jackie Kennedy was more concerned about her husband’s rumored affair with Marilyn Monroe than people previously thought. The author revealed to People Magazine, Jackie once said to JFK,

‘This one’s different Jack. This one worries me.’ That’s from somebody who was right there in the White House who overheard that conversation

The remark came before JFK’s 45th birthday celebration on May 19, 1962, at Madison Square Garden, where Monroe famously sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.” Jackie didn’t attend the event. Instead, she spent the evening with her mother and stepfather, choosing to distance herself from the spectacle.

Taraborrelli notes that Jackie didn’t have concrete proof of an affair but had a strong feeling that something was going on. Her decision to skip the event was reportedly a silent protest, showing she didn’t...

Frank Sinatra's Advice Changed One Of Clint Eastwood's Biggest Movies
Image
San Francisco may lag behind the likes of New York and Los Angeles in terms of sheer volume of films shot on location in the city, but it makes up for it with some extremely memorable screen appearances. There was the giant octopus attack in "It Came From Beneath the Sea," with real footage of the Golden Gate Bridge spliced with Ray Harryhausen's creature on the rampage. Steve McQueen was behind the wheel for the famous car chase in "Bullitt," and Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand topped it with the best action scene ever in "What's Up, Doc?" Union Square was the setting for Gene Hackman's wire-tapping in "The Conversation," and Alcatraz Island took center stage in "The Rock". Then there was "Dirty Harry," the best Frisco movie of the 1970s, and weirdly, we have Frank Sinatra to thank for that choice of location.

Ol' Blue Eyes may...

Joe Epperson, the three-time Emmy-nominated camera operator who had long stints on All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Full House and The Tonight Show, has died. He was 80.

Epperson died Saturday of cardiac arrest at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, his wife of 58 years, Patty Epperson, told The Hollywood Reporter. He had been in and out of the hospital and rehab since April 29 when his appendix burst.

Known for his skill with hand-held cameras, Epperson in 1981 shot from the Roxy in West Hollywood The Pee-wee Herman Show, which ran on HBO and put Paul Reubens and his hilarious alter ego on the map.

He also trained his lens on Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Jr. over three nights at the Fox Theatre in Detroit for a 1989 Showtime special and worked on the James Keach-directed Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, the 2014 documentary that followed...

The one Steven Spielberg remark that gave us John Williams' iconic Star Wars score
Image
Steven Spielberg surely had no idea that one well-meaning remark about John Williams to George Lucas would've paved the way for one of the greatest soundtracks in cinematic history. But the world is a better place for it.

Spielberg and Williams' long-lived collaboration began in 1974, when the latter worked on The Sugarland Express. Before that, Williams had worked with directors like Frank Sinatra, Irwin Allen, and Don Siegel. In 2023, Spielberg told Deadline that Williams' work on Mark Rydell's The Reivers made him seek the music composer out for his theatrical feature debut.

A year later, the two worked together on Spielberg's classic horror thriller, Jaws, for which Williams won an Oscar. As the 1975 movie turned 50 this month, let's revisit how it led to Williams working with Lucas.

We may have Steven Spielberg to thank for the Star Wars soundtrack

Lucas was gearing up for A New Hope, then known as just Star Wars,...

Seth MacFarlane Admits Problematic ‘Family Guy’ Jokes Are ‘A Little More Complicated’ Than He Once Believed
Image
If you wanted to cut Seth MacFarlane some slack, you could concede that the writer and producer was only 25 when Family Guy hit the airwaves. But now he’s 51 and wrestling with the legacy of his outrageous and sometimes objectionable creation. “This is the conversation that tortures me at night,” he recently told CBS Sunday Morning.

“When I started the show, my attitude was like, ‘It doesn't matter. None of it matters. It’s like, if it’s funny let’s do it,’” he explained. “And the older I’ve gotten, I look back at shows that we’ve done and I’m like, gosh, I guess it’s a little more complicated than that, isn’t it? Comedy and jokes do have an impact.”

Unlike contemporaries such as South Park and The Simpsons, which also have come under fire for offensive humor, Family Guy is known for courting controversy seemingly for its own sake.
